The Wondrous Sonic Beauty of the Fixed Filter Bank (TX Wiggles 63)
Published on May 22, 2020 poorness studios
"NOTE: Headphones or studio speakers recommended!
The Aion 907A wasn't a module I was traditionally interested in, but I found a good deal so I decided to give it a shot. Wow! This thing is really cool. In this video, I patched up a basic 2 oscillator FM patch with some subtle modulation. The 907A is like a canvas that lets you pain with frequencies."

New Eurorack Format Moog Clone Modules from AION Modular & Mini System
Above is the AION Modular eurorack system based on clones of vintage Moog modules. Below are details on the four new modules from AION Modular. Click through for details on prior modules featured in the system above.
904C FILTER COUPLER
The AION Modular 904C Filter Coupler is an Eurorack clone of the classic Moog™ Modular 904C.
The 904C Filter Coupler connects the 904A Lowpass and the 904B Highpass together to produce a Bandpass or a Band Reject filter response.
Bandwidth can be extended to three octaves and Center Frequency ranges from 5Hz to 20KHz. Both can be controlled manually or via control voltage.
The 904C provides a wide variety of signal processing and we strongly encourage experimentation but we advise to start with the following settings:
904A Fixed Control Voltage +6
904A Frequency Range 2
904B Fixed Control Voltage -1
904B Frequency Range LOW
The 904A and the 904B are required to use the 904C.
In the "OFF" position, the 904A and 904B are disconnected from the 904C an can be used independently.
The connection cables are provided with the module.
Specifications:
Power: +12 (30mA), -12 (15mA)
Depth: 20mm
Doepfer compatible.
PRICE: 240€

Aion, Macbeth, Synthesis Technology LPF comparison
Published on Jun 4, 2014 jakobsweb·15 videos
"As some have requested, here is a little sound comparision between 3 awesome Eurorack lowpass filters. The very new Aion 904A, Synthesis Technology E440 (MOTM) and the Macbeth Dual SV filter. Aion and SynTech have a 24db slope, the Macbeth has 12db and is a dual multimode filter. All 3 of them boast an enormous powerful very classic synthesizer sound - the kind that makes you go OMG :-)
The sound source is the Intellijel Rubicon VCO with 3 of its outputs (saw, pulse w/mod, sub) feeding the filters with a healthy dose of beafiness. Considering its price, the Aion filter is doing a tremendous job here, compared with the Macbeth which costs about three times as much, the E440 in the mid range. Given its dual outputs the Macbeth filter is the most versatile of them, esp with invertable modulation and jumper settings for resonance intensity. The E440 is a phantastic allround, always sound great filter, a touch cleaner I think than the other 2. The Aion is a downright vintage sounding filter. Outputwise it is a little weak - but add some amp and it will blow you away. The Aion has that wonderful vintage creamy coarsness (can't describe it any else)."

Aion Lowpass Filter Demo Video
Published on May 30, 2014 jakobsweb·14 videos
"Short demo of the Aion Modular Lowpass Filter. A filter module designed to sound like the vintage MOOG Modular lowpass filter (NOT like Minimoog!). In essence it looks like a Eurorack version of the 5U Club of the Knobs module - soundwise, I cannot tell.
I have used 3 (!) Macbeth VCOs here to feed the filter with equivalent powerful basic sound (2 sawtooth, 1 pulse w/mod). The filter does like strong VCA amplification to boost the sound. Some echo/reverb from Lexicon. I think it is an awesome filter and I can't wait for its sister modules to be ready :)"

Miniemerson as to Minimoog Spotted at Moogfest
See him down there, towards the right? Like the Minimoog to the original Moog Synthesizer, Keith Emerson has a Mini version of himself to help out when playing live. Miniemerson with an AION Modular eurorack system? No?
Ok, humor aside, Flickr shot by David Oppenheimer (click through for more and don't forget to come back!)
