Original post via Stromkult:
"Flame showed a prototype of their first desktop synthesizer, the Mäander, at the NAMM show 2019. Calling this instrument extraordinary is almost an understatement. Thanks to its digital oscillator, which comes equipped with parameters like Contour and Unisono, the Mäander is capable of generating an astonishing spectrum of sounds. Huge basses, velvety soft to metallic leads and pads as well as a wide range of effect sounds can be created in no time. Highlight of the instrument, however, is its flexibly controllable, fully analog filter bank with twelve bands and eight filter types. In detail, there are high-pass, three band-pass modes, notch, low-pass and LP / BP as well as LP / HP combinations. The most impressive sounds that were heard at the NAMM show had a strong vocal-like character. Other synthesis features include two LFOs with variable shape as well as sync, re-trigger and one shot modes, an ADSR envelope plus a nifty live sequencer. The latter is not exactly made to notate melodies, but more of a complex, yet easy to handle arpeggiator. All in all, the Mäander appears to be a highly innovative instrument. – We can’t wait to give it a proper test drive!"

Reznik Dreams at the 1AC
Published on Jun 13, 2016 davidryle
"A wandering dreamlike idea. Using the Flame Chord Machine, Piston Honda, Clouds, Mysteron and Segwencer IV (two of them) to follow the Pressure Points sequence and radio noise which is stepped from a Q960 sequencer. Lots of random treatments with two Turing Machines.
The voltage controlled radio module, a noise module, a MOTM 440, a Serge 1973 filter, a CGS Real Ring Modulator, an Ian Fritz DDVCO all worked with feedback loops through an Encore Frequency Shifter to create the metallic noise.
The Segwencer was picking apart the four part chords in random fashion from a Turing Machine and the arpeggiator portion of the Chord Machine drove a suite of MosLab 901 vco's to add counterpoint to the Piston Honda sequence. The Mysteron and a Q106 vco were filtered through a STG Soundlabs Post Lawsuit LPF for the bass line.
A little homage to a favorite 'machinist' movie."

"If you're not familiar, this is a beast of a piece of gear. 3 CV-out, 3 GATE-out, 3 GATE-in, MIDI in and out and a TON of awesome realtime performance oriented functions. This unit is in MINT condition. I am the second owner and upon receiving this unit I was able to track down an updated EPROM for the latest OS. The newest, most current OS in installed, but I'll include the original EPROM and instructions just in case the existing EPROM would ever go bad or anything (see picture)."

James Song - An Improvisation by MyOneManBand
Published on May 12, 2016
Gear list further below.
"This is the first of a series I will be making in response to the sheets filled out by the audience of my last TEDx talk.
........................................
About Me :
MyOneManBand is the name I give to the live improvisational electronica that I create in real-time out of sounds from many instruments, often using a mixture of organic sound sets such at classical guitar, marimba, dulcimer, kalimba, accordion and drums with synthetic textures electronic percussion, beeps, bleeps and hiss.
I make music to please an urge that exists within me to see what is possible to accomplish on my own with no pre-recording or backing tracks. I came to this way of working through the live-looping process using audio recording tools such as the Boss Loopstation and Echoplex Digital Pro, but I now find for the main part that MIDI is more flexible for what I do as it allows the musical structures of my work to remain flexible in real time so I can add and strip away layers in a non linear way.
I also make music to take my own small space within the context of the many great artists who are also working in the field and as such I am on a journey that does not expect reward financially or through the more conventional measures of success, but rather I hope to find value in my work through the people who I meet through its undertaking and the ideas and thoughts that they bring into my life.
I am therefore always eager to engage with my views through critique, help or just to talk geek for a while...please...never be afraid to get in touch.
Thanks very much for watching, if you like my work , please consider subscribing to help me continue to spread my work to like minded people.
Phill Wilson (AKA MyOneManBand)
