A note on the update:

"Haken Editor and Firmware 10.51: Updated March 17 2025

This new firmware adds increased functionality and sound design possibilities to our EaganMatrix sound engine, the sonic heart of all of our Haken Audio products.

EaganMatrix BiqGraph Bank has enhanced ways to control narrowband resonances.

Control resonance using Decay Time Constants or Bandwidths

Optional use of Excitation Position for filter inputs.

Optional use of String Nonlinearity Coefficient for filter center frequencies.

EaganMatrix Additive Bank has support for Christophe Duquesne’s “Loris” Additive Overlay.

Up to 40 additive analyses, grouped into 4 decades.

Analyses and associated presets are set up by Loris, then playable within the EaganMatrix.

Continuum players have a new way to play tiny intervals or unisons: Place one finger at near side of surface and another at far side, then keep each finger at its side while sliding towards same pitch.

Fixed a variety of bugs reported by users, including:

Polyphony incorrect on certain older presets.

Damper pedal issues on some 8x Continuums.

Certain presets had incorrect voice allocation when receiving MPE.

Incorrect formula interaction with Touch Control Area and Pitch Trim Graphs.

Stuck notes when changing polyphony while playing additive presets.

Power-up inter-dsp communication improvements for multi-dsp systems (6x, 8x).

Sync-to-Incoming SPDIF digital audio.

User-reported problems in 10.50."

JLR Plays The Tacoma Noise Rodeo - April 29th 2022 at KVLT Mead

video upload by John L Rice

"Loosely planned performance recorded with a Canon M5 camera and it's built in mics while sitting on top of one of the main PA speakers! (not too bad considering how it was done? ;-)

Gear used:
Manikin Electronic - Schrittmacher sequencer
Vermona - Perfourmer MkII synthesizer
Mackie - 802-VLZ3 mixer
TC Electronic - T3 reverb pedal
Keeley Electronics - Fuzz Bender pedal
Electro Harmonix - Mel9 mellotron emulator pedal
Dunlop MXR - Octave Fuzz pedal
Mooer - Ocean Machine reverb/dual delay/looper pedal
Strymon Engineering - Zuma R300 power supply for pedals
Mellotron - Micro keyboard
EWI Tourcase - MXC-008-10 mixer case (heavily modified by JLR)
JLR - custom patch bay for pedals and mixer"

April 26, 2022

video upload by John L Rice

Manikin Schrittmacher sequencer on the top left. Vermona Perfourmer & Mellotron Micro featured in this one. You can find additional John L Rice Mellotron posts here.

Update: YT description added:

"Realtime test after recently reconfiguring my custom pedalboard patch bay. Recorded on my iPad with no edits. Besides the Mellotron Micro Keyboard, the case is a modified MXC-008-10 mixer case from Audiopile.net and contains the following:

Left side:
Manikin Electronic Schrittmacher sequencer
Vermona PERfourMER MKII quad synth

Right side:
Mackie 802-VLZ3 mixer and power supply
Keeley Electronics Fuzz Master pedal
Electro Harmonix Mel9 pedal (mellotron emulator)
Dunlop/MXR Octave Fuzz pedal
Mooer Ocean Machine pedal (reverb, delays, looper)
TC Electronic T3 pedal (modulated reverbs)
Strymon Engineering Zuma R300 power supply (for pedals)
Custom patch bay for pedals and mixer

The patch bay has Canare GS-4 cables soldered directly to the jacks with the other ends terminated with Squareplug SP400 Low Profile Flat TS plugs that connect to the pedals. The patch bay jacks are all normal'd together right to left, and by using patch cables I can easily reconfigure how the pedals are interconnected. The normal connections are:
Mixer EFX send - Fuzz Master - Mel9 - Octave Fuzz - Ocean Machine - T3 - mixer EFX returns*
but in this video I used the mixer insert for the channel the Mellotron is plugged into to connect to the Fuzz Master - T3 and then the rest is configured as:
Mixer EFX send - Mel9 - Octave Fuzz - Ocean Machine - mixer EFX returns*
*the jacks connected to the stereo mixer returns have a second set of cables that go to mixer input 7/8 and by turning up the Aux send for the channel I can create feedback."

Keeley Hydra pedal on synth - Prophet Rev2

Richard DeHove

"The Hydra tremolo and reverb combo pedal tested on a Rev2 synth. Not an exhaustive tutorial but more a taster of the three modulation modes and three reverbs. I bought this pedal myself at full price, so not a paid review or an affiliate. The Rev2 was set to about half volume, straight into the soundcard and then into Reaper. There was absolutely no post-processing of the sound in anyway - no compression, no eq."

Keeley Electronics Caverns Delay and Reverb - Roland JDXi Synthesizer

Published on Oct 26, 2017

"rkfx.com

Here's a clip of our Caverns Delay and Reverb paired with a Roland JD-Xi Synth."

Stranger Things.

And some info on the pedal:

"The New Caverns Delay Reverb V2 dual effect pedal combines delay and reverb for the perfect end to any pedal board. It features Keeley’s analog style tape delay with modulation options. The 650ms of warm delay combine with Spring, Shimmer or Modulated Reverb. Now with True-Bypass or Trails option. Because of its small and compact design, the New Caverns is a perfect fit for any fly-rig or small board where you have tight space requirements. The New V2 features Keeley’s most popular time-based effects, blended perfectly and fine-tuned over 2 years. It will be an amazing addition to any board.

The Reverb side of the pedal features 3 Cavernous sounds:

Spring Mode – Black Face Amp style spring reverb with F Style Tremolo
Modulation Mode – Choral modulation to the reverb for a huge, cavernous reverb
Shimmer Mode – Reverb with emphasis on octave-up voices in reverb trails
The Delay side of the pedal incorporates Keeley’s popular Magnetic Echo circuit, designed to emulate analog tape delay lines. Three way switchable modulation gives you options for adding Wow and Flutter to the repeats. Perfectly voiced echoes sit in the mix well, either clean or with distortion.
