"Here’s an old Maestro theremin made sometime in the 70s. It’s a bit beat up and shows its age but if you’re looking for a noisemaker this thing has got it where it counts. I believe only one knob is original and there might be a back panel missing. It also has an old school phone number stenciled on the top. Check the video below to hear it rocking.
Now this guy could use an electronics tune up but Asis it works and makes tons of weirdo noises. It’s a ton of fun and probably the cheapest vintage theremin you’ll find on the market."

Maestro Rhythm King MRK-4
Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this listing
You can find a demo of one previously posted here.
"This is a rare Maestro Rhythm King Mark 4. It is VERY different from the more common and more colorful Maestro Rhythm
King. The biggest difference is that the MKIV has an external audio input, which gets fed into a gate circuit that follows the rhythmic patterns of the preset pattern you choose on the drum machine. You can blend the drum sound using a fader to go fully hats, to be mostly kick and toms, or anywhere in between. The volume for the external audio has its own volume fader, as does the drum volume, so you can also use it just to modulate audio and not use the drums. There is also a blend fader for the gate on the external audio, so you can dial in how much of an abrupt cut you want."

via this listing
"The Maestro Rhythm Jester is a vintage drum machine from the 1960s, known for its quirky charm and distinctive analog sound. Manufactured by Maestro, a subsidiary of Gibson, the Rhythm Jester was designed to provide musicians with a simple yet effective rhythm accompaniment tool. It quickly became popular for its ease of use and the warm, characterful beats it produced.
The Rhythm Jester features a range of preset rhythms, including swing, mambo, and rhumba, each with its own unique flavor. Its analog circuitry ensures that every beat is rich and full of the warmth associated with early electronic instruments. The machine’s interface is straightforward, allowing users to easily select and combine patterns, making it a versatile choice for live performances and studio sessions.
With its compact design and sturdy build, the Maestro Rhythm Jester is both portable and durable, making it a reliable companion for musicians on the go. Its retro aesthetic, combined with its distinctive sound, has made it a sought-after piece for collectors and vintage gear enthusiasts. The Rhythm Jester remains a beloved example of early drum machine technology, offering a nostalgic yet timeless rhythm experience.
This example is in great condition, and in perfect working order. The drum machine will come in it's original box. The power cord and audio output cable are intact and work with no issue."

"A beat gets added at 3:35 to demo the full sound of the machine, but otherwise this is just the sound of the Hewlett-Packard 241A oscillator (into the Heathkit ID-4101, padded down by a Rucci passive mixer) sent into the modulation circuit on the Maestro Rhythm King MK4. Each available preset is selected so that you can hear how the circuit chops up the external audio in relation. You can also combine two or three presets for more complex rhythms."

7/16/23 DEMO: Maestro Rhythm King MKIV (for sale) chops TTMC and Trogotronic
Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
video upload by Cfpp0
"This Rhythm King is the true King of rhythm machines because it has an internal modulation circuit that gates your external audio to correspond to the pattern of the beat. You have control over the modulation depth and volume. You have control over the beat volume and the balance between drums or cymbals. You can combine more than one pattern to generate new patterns. For this demo I am playing continuous notes on the TTMC 112, which CVS the 158 oscillators, and the 112 gates the Trogotronic m11 and also sends pressure to the drive input. The output goes to a 106 then to a passive Rucci matrix mixer (I was going to make the modulation circuit feedback on itself a bit, which sounds cool BTW) and into the modulation circuit where the Rhythm King slices and dices."

"This 1960s Gibson Maestro W-3 Woodwind Instrument Sound System Synth is in very good condition. Powers on and top knobs work correctly. As far as I understand the bottom controls will not work without the pedal plugged in. Could be modified or an original/custom pedal attached. The microphone is working but has not been fidelity tested. Looks to be a clarinet attachment. See photos for full condition details...
Included:
1960s Gibson Maestro W-3 Woodwind Instrument Sound System Synth
Clarinet Attachment w/ Microphone & Cord

Spare Fuses
Original Case Keys

"Super Rare, Tom Oberheim designed Maestro USS-1 Universal Synthesizer Unit. Bought this in 1992 and it all worked then, but its been in storage all these years. Powers on and Waveform, Filter, Sample/Hold and Phase working well. Envelope and Subharmonic hard to tell. A first envelope sliders looks unconnected but is there and Sensitivity slider too is missing. Has a bypass toggle switch added by previous owner. Working sliders are really tight but probably just need some WD-40 as they used to work."
Do not spray WD-40 into your synths.

"A HOLY GRAIL OF PEDALS.
HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT DEVICE:)
DESIGNED BY TOM OBERHEIM. MAESTRO WAS ONE OF THE FIRST PEDAL MAKERS, IN THE 70'S.
THESE ARE RARER THAN RARE, AS YOU KNOW.
IT'S TWO DEVICES IN ONE: WHEN "FILTER" IS SELECTED, THE INSTRUMENT (GUITAR, ETC) THAT'S PLUGGED IN, AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATES AN ENVELOPE FOLLOWER, THAT CONTOURS THE MODIFIED LOW PASS FILTER'S RESPONSE CURVE ACCORDING TO THE DYNAMICS OF THE INPUT.
A VERY CONTROLLABLE (FILTER CONTROL) DYNAMIC EFFECT, A LITTLE MORE SUBTLE THAN "AUTO WAH".
THE REAL FUN COMES WITH THE "SAMPLE/HOLD" POSITION. HERE, THE FILTER'S RESPONSE IS CONTROLLED RANDOMLY, BUT WITH AN OVERLYING RHYTHMIC ELEMENT DETERMINED BY THE CONTROLLABLE LFO (S/H SPEED). IT'S NOT UNLIKE THE SOUND PEOPLE THOUGHT COMPUTERS MADE IN THE 60'S-70'S:)
BECAUSE SUCCESS WAS UNKNOWN, SOME ELECTRONIC PARTS WERE SELECTED BY THE MANUFACTURER THAT WERE OF THEN-LESSER-QUALITY. THESE IMPART A VERY DESIRABLE AMOUNT OF SLIGHT GRIT TO THE SOUND.
SINCE THE AVAILABILITY OF SUCH PARTS HAVE LONG SINCE VANISHED, THE ORIGINAL CIRCUIT IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET THIS PARTICULARLY FAVORED SOUND.
EXCLUSIVE TO THIS PARTICULAR DEVICE: THERE ARE "TRIMS" INSIDE, THAT HAVE BEEN OPTIMIZED.
ALSO EVERYTHING HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED AND LUBRICATED."
