Hardware Jams Weekend Challenge - Places (Palo Alto Baylands)

video upload by SynthAddict

Bird sounds here are Clapper Rails and a Song Sparrow.
See the large, majestic white Great Egret in the distance here...

These special salt marsh areas are biological treasure troves producing a ton of oxygen and biomass and help to process pollutants that can run off into the bay and ocean.

Palo Alto Baylands was a great place to work and there I regained my love for microscopy, making me motivated to create my MicroAddict YouTube channel a few years later.

I had to redo this one as the first attempt yesterday was messed up, and I noticed after I got home. Sadly this morning's version has a stereo issue and my panning and other cool stereo FX were destroyed. oh well... also the volume is a bit low and I had no time to adjust before uploading."

Bad Gear - I'm the Operator...

video upload by AudioPilz

"Today we are going to talk about EP-133 KO II. This compact sampler and 80s tax consultant’s best friend lookalike is based on one of TEs very own Pocket Operators and while its price tag seems to be missing another zero at the end having "how to repair it" videos come out only days after its release is NOT the kind of innovation we had wished for."

Ekzil - "Ignition sequence" : Circuit Track / Volca keys / Volca bass

video upload by Geoffroy AULAGNER

"I decided to use my Volca Keys to the maximum of these capacities.
I find these possibilities very interesting.. I particularly love the unison mode, with portamento. It sounds really crazy ๐Ÿคฉ (check at 01:20)
It gives the possibility to transform a chords progression to a catchy melody ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

As always, I try to make my compos sound professional with relatively inexpensive hardware.. I hope you find this video inspiring. Give me your feedback in the comments, It really motivates me to continue ๐Ÿ™

Novation Circuit Tracks: Drums, bass, organ, arpeggio
Volca Keys: Lead
Volca Bass: Bass
PO 33KO: voices
Korg NTS-1: reverb, chorus, build up with the noise oscillator"

"Dawless and Wireless. The OXI One is sequencing the @teenageengineering TX-6, which provides all the sound. This quick jam exemplifies how tight MIDI over Bluetooth (BLE) can work between devices!

The OXI One can simultaneously send and receive sequences over MIDI over USB, TRS, CV, and, as shown in this example, MIDI over Bluetooth (BLE.)"

Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O.II Midi Looper

video upload by Perplex On

"This jam tries to utilize the #ep133 as a midi looper, punching in midi notes live into it and sending them to the iPad playing #klevgrand #speldosa. I realized that a few punch-in fx on the EP-133 do midi related stuff which is great for adding a bit of spice to the loops in real-time. Other convenient thing is that the iPad also powers the EP-133 in addition to having midi over the same cable. Thanks to my little wooden birdie friends for the support."

Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O.II Looping Exploration

video upload by Perplex On

"Played around with the Loop feature on the #ep133. Supported by drums coming from the #PO32Tonic. While it‘s pretty cool to get interesting loops and textures with the Loop function, it’s not very easy to perform live with it as the controls are pretty vague. Also it’s a bit annoying that you get kicked out of loop mode when pressing fx or when adding punch-in fx, it would be way cooler if these could be combined (and maybe even resampled). Hoping for updates that would make this feature even better."

Teenage Engineering OP-1 Field Ambient Sampler Instrument Music

video upload by Mega Modularis

"Hello there!

And welcome to a nice little ambient patch for you to relax to. Using the Teenage Engineering OP-1 Field, and some instruments I made using the built in stereo sampler, I made this ambient music piece. I also used the excellent Teenage Engineering TP-7 to record the audio, before recording its’ playback into Logic, to help achieve a more tape-like final piece. I had a lot of fun making this piece, and experimenting along the way so i hope you enjoy!

I have a couple of videos in the works, such as a walkthrough video of making a piece similar to this one, using the OP-1 Field and its’ Sampler, to make some ambient music, and I’m also working on a video focused on the Make Noise Morphagene, one of my all time favourite Eurorack modules, but please let me know if there’s anything else you’d like me to explore and I’ll be happy to have a go if I can find the time!

See you next time,
