When it comes to standalone instruments, we think, one of most encouraging instruments in experimental music was Synthi AKS, so we teamed up with engineers from Riga Technical University to develop a synthesizer with a user interface inspired by Synthi AKS.
SYNTRX [sintrex] is developed from scratch all analogue synthesizer (no part of schematics is cloned from Synthi AKS) with digitally controlled patch matrix. Unlike most of patch matrixes around, that mechanically connect signals, our 16x16 matrix utilizes 32 (!!!) 8 channel analogue switch ICs AS16M1 (made in Latvia, Alfa RPAR) and is a mixer/buffered multiple with 3 level attenuation (gain 1, 0,6 and 0,3) in connection points. "Zeus is a multitimbral analog polyphonic synthesizer featuring substractive synthesis. The sound generation is entirely analog. Each voice has two voltage controlled oscillators (VCO), a mixer, a voltage controlled amplifier (VCA). The control signals on each voice are digitally generated by a microcontroller, which is capale of processing three low frequency oscillators (LFO) and two ADSR envelopes (EG). This synthesizer is still a prototype.
Zeus interface was designed to be intuitive with all the controls on the panel. It also features a graphic display to show the different parameters and curves. For example, it can show the envelope curves.

Analogue Solutions is excited to introduce Colossus, an exciting new mega-synth with a design ethos truly from the dawn of analogue synths. It is more than a powerful analogue ‘workstation’ - it is also art, architecture, exquisite studio furniture.
Design inspiration is of course from the 1970’s EMS Synthi 100, however, no circuit from the Synthi has been cloned or copied. We prefer to make our own designs. We have chosen some of our favourite circuits from our own large back catalogue synths such as Polymath, Telemark and Vostok.
Colossus is not a Synthi 100 clone - all circuits are non-EMS, Analogue Solutions’ design.

We had a look at the pre-production prototype - presets have not been created yet and the final look will be tweaked, with Jackson (we're fortunate in that Modal are just down the road).
