"Join me on my quest to learn the new Korg Multi/Poly! In this video, I'm demonstrating the Waveshaper oscillator in the Korg Multi/Poly. I demonstrate the input oscillator and how different parameters affect it, I use the default Berkeley waveshaper to process the input oscillator, I assign an envelope to modulate gain into the waveshaper for a more dynamic sound and demonstrate a few different waveshapers.

Korg multi/poly CS-80 Style Brass

"Noodling on a CS-80 inspired preset I made for the Korg multi/poly. Using my new Native Instruments Kontrol S61 mk III with poly aftertouch. The bass drone and the brass sound are from the multi/poly, percussion is from the wavestate and UAFX Golden in 224 Hall mode provides the reverb. The multi/poly has a pretty good reverb, but this sound needs a Lexicon-style reverb. I used Arturia's CS-80 V as a reference, since I sadly don't have access to a real CS-80!"

I go through the classic modeled filters at various resonance settings, I show the crossfade and band pass modes of the SEM filter, and demonstrate the two band reject filters. "First of August was performed live using the Oxi One MkII sequencer, Korg opsix, multi/poly and wavestate synthesizers and Roland TR-6S drum machine. The FM e-piano from opsix is running into the Line 6 HX ONE and Meris Mercury X in series for a lovely wash of reverb. The TR-6S is running into the UAFX Golden in Percussion Plate mode. Multi/poly is using the built in effects. Wavestate is a dry bass sound. There is no post-processing."
