"Analog drums and a no input mixer patch.
In the Allen & Heath WZ3 16:2 mixer i patched 6 sends to do some feedback (Channel 11-16).
The mixer has 2 internal effects which i also used.
The drumcomputer is a Yocto 808.
With soft mastering.

Erica Synths Introduces Resonant Filter Bank & Expander Eurorack Modules

I believe this might be a rebranding of their Resonant EQ, previously featured here, and here. I'm not finding any mention of the EQ on their site, only the FB. Aside from the labelling, the modules look identicle.

00:00 - Patch 1. Pico Voice in Supersaw mode through Resonant FB. Modulated with Octasource with EVENS hard panned to left and ODDS hard panned to the right therefore creating a stereo effect
01:02 - Patch 2. Black VCO II SAW through Resonant FB in Filter mode which is modulated with Octasource.
01:55 - Patch 3. Drumbreak sample through Resonant FB in Filter Bank mode modulated with Octasource and Modulator.
03:18 - Patch 4. No audio input. Resonant FB self oscillating and modulated with two LFOs from the Modulator.
03:59 - Patch 5. Sample played through Resonant FB in Filter Bank mode and modulated with Octasource and Modulator.
04:47 - Patch 6. Yocto 808 played through Resonant FB in Filter mode.
05:59 - Patch 7. No audio inoput. Resonant FB self oscillating with frequencies controlled via the expander."

"The Graphic Resonant Filterbank (FB) is a ten-band analogue filterbank with digital control over each bands’ boost or cut. Each band can be controlled individually via CV or manually, while complex control configurations turn the filterbank into an unconventional multimode filter and even an instrument in its own right when played with various resonance settings. The Expander module (works exclusively with the Graphic Resonant Filterbank and is available separately) provides hands-on adjustment of boost and cut for all bands.

The Expander module provides hands-on adjustment over all bands’ boost and cut without the need to select bands via pushbuttons on the Graphic Resonant Filterbank module. This makes sound design with the Graphic Resonant Filterbank much easier.

ESK - MXR Pitch Transposer Drum Demo

"Demo of a MXR Pitch Transposer (Pitch Shifter) with a Yocto 808 Drumcomputer.
The MXR can shift the pitch of a signal +/- 1 octave. There are 4 pitch presets and there is a wonderful feedback parameter. I connected a DIY ribbon controller to the extern control in.
Direct mono recording without mastering.

ESK - Yocto 808 + Take 5 + Sansui RG-700 Jam

"Simple jamsession with a Yocto 808, Sequential Take 5 and mixed together with a Sansui RG-700 HiFi effect unit. The RG-700 can mix 2 stereo line inputs with independent EQ and a mic/keyboard input.
There is a LoFi Reverb with a separate EQ. It’s not a spring reverb, probably it’s done with a BBD.
Direct recording with mastering.

Each sample is recorded with different tone, decay and release settings, processed through the Valley People Dyna-Mite ™ compressor or recorded on a Telefunken M15A tape recorder. In addition there are also 192 unprocessed single samples and 23 beats / patterns (with stems) recorded using extreme compressor settings.

New Gear Testdrive - Korg, TC, Strymon, Roland

"Got some new gear to test out, so I made this little track
first Sequence made with the Korg NTS-1, sequenced on the Korg Sq-64 and added some delay with the Strymon Volante

Drums made with the Yocto 8080 send through the Sherman 2x2 with some reverb on the Snare added from the TC-M3000

The later appearing sequence is from the Roland Cloud System-100, wich sounds really analog …also added Sherman Drive and Tape-Echo

The Strymon Volante is really the best Tape-Simulation out there.
The Korg Sq-64 is a quite capable sequencer . I’m not so happy that saving projects requires additionally a proper shutdown of the device. And creating/changing longer notes is a bit complicated … considering they call it polyphonic sequencer.

I love the TC-M3000 .. the reverb sounds very natural. It’s great for everything where you want to recognize the original sound and don’t smear everything with a cloud of reverb.

I was very surprised how well the Roland Cloud plugins sound. Especially the SH-2 and System-100."

"I ve done this video for people like me who love to see gear in action, so be careful, this video may be a little too long for some of you. :)

I did few quick loops here then I turn the knobs testing different settings with the glorious and vintage Musitronics Mutron Biphase Double Phaser pedal effect (Or Phasor, If you know the difference between Phaser and Phasor please tell me )

To help me with this mission, I used the Novation Peak synthesizer and the Yocto drum machine (A DIY Clone of the Roland Tr-808 from E-licktronic I build myself not without difficulty) .

The video Start with a 'Clavinet' Sound Done with the Peak, at 2.30 you have kind of Guitar arp, at 5.30 a bass Lead at 9.30 some Pad Chord, at 13minutes you can listen to the effect with a Bass then around 16 the video ends with the DrumMachine.

Comes with N American power supply. I believe it’s the latest firmware, no problems syncing with MIDI, Dyn Sync, cv, etc!"

"In the spirit of pre-youtuber times, here's some Modding Guide for the Behringer RD8 drum machine. It's in beta but contains already a great number of mods, such as CV and Trigger inputs.

I hope that soldering enthusiasts might find it useful. Sound mods should work with the 808 and Yocto as well, and and one mod will help you with an annoying RD8-MS101 bug.
