Morphor ECHON 6 #4 | Winterdagen

video upload by Winterdagen

"New one on the amazing ECHON 6 :)! This piece starts with a gentle sine wave melody, before I slowly introduce the resonator section. I love synths that have extensive control over the envelope times and shapes and ECHON 6 does exactly that, you can chose 3 different modes for the envelopes, making sure you can make from very plucky sounds to long evolving ones. I love the click in this sound and it sounds great with the resonator section as well.

In the buildup of the piece I introduce some noise into the resonator, you can downsample the noise, and feeding that into the resonator reminds me of one of my favourite synth plugins, Tela from Fors. I never thought I'd be able to make those kind of sounds on an analogue hardware synth, but here we are!

This is such a rewarding synth to play around with, every time I find new sounds and new ways to combine the exciter and resonator sections. Hats off to Morphor!"

With a clean, self-explanatory interface made for fast, hands-on control, it's ideal for both studio work and live performance.

Explaining and testing Seiche by Holocene Electronics

video upload by Stazma

"Today I'm happy to show you some stuff with Seiche by Holocene Electronics.

Here we go for a deep dive into this very interesting "complex filter". I love modules that blur the line between filter and oscillator and this one of them, adding VCA and wavefolder on top for each of the two sides. The interface is superb and very playable. I'd say it's like a Serge sounding module housed in a Buchla like panel.

Also still some fun with Random8 in there ;-)
Have fun!!!"

Oberheim DX Full Restoration: How to Add MIDI, Upgrade RAM & Play Live

video upload by Nostalgic Explorer

"If you want to see how the Oberheim DX looks from the inside, how to clean the buttons, how to upgrade the RAM, and how to add MIDI to this classic drum machine, you're in the right place.

This machine came to me in pretty bad shape. Dirty on the outside, with some faulty buttons, and in serious need of some love. But honestly? It's not that hard to bring one of these back to life if you're careful and you enjoy working with vintage gear. And if you don't — stick around anyway, because it's super interesting to see these machines from the inside.

I'm walking you through the full process: deep cleaning, how to remove and clean the button contacts the right way (spoiler: cleaning the surface does nothing — you need to go under them), installing the Electrongate MIDI board and RAM upgrade so you don't need a battery anymore, and swapping the plastic panels for the beautiful wooden ones from Electrongate.

Big shoutout to Paul White, whose Electrongate videos were a huge reference for this build. I'm just a student passing the knowledge forward — go check his page, I'll leave the links below.

Once everything was back together and fully working, I put on a jacket — because if I'm performing original music for you, you deserve some respect — and played a live jam using the restored Oberheim DX, the Oberheim DMX, Moog Voyager, Rhodes Mark I, Oberheim Matrix 6R, Elektron Digitakt, and the Roland Space Echo RE-201."

Parasite Drone 1

video upload by flightofharmony

https://flightofharmony.com

"I'm sick today, so no voice track. Brain was dead so I figured I'd noodle around a bit, and ended up realizing that - after spending three years focusing on developing, building, and delivering the Facehugger with no time to play anything - I had completely forgotten how much I love the Parasite Antifilter. It's my favorite module, no contest, and combining it with the Facehugger is unbeatable, in my mind. The slightest setting change can take you in entirely new directions.

This one uses basically the same external inputs as the last video but, instead of hitting the Input with the Facehugger, the input is a buzzy drone from an Infernal Noise Machine and the main Facehugger is driving the Low Frequency CV input. The rest is swapping where a sine LFO goes (the second olive cable), the other Facehugger (purple cable) and the step 7 gate from the main Facehugger. This all adds up to some great drones with transient melodies and rhythms.

It gets a little blah in the middle, but it picks back up again when a new drone is discovered later. I'm particularly pleased to have caught one of the Parasite Antifilter's coolest (and most frustrating) features: the charge-up effect. It begins around 11:18. These are where some new sound just builds up out of nowhere. This one was unusually persistent though. Often, they disappear if you change a setting and are very difficult to find again. It's not a filter you can just dial through quickly, you have to give each change a moment to see if it wants to build something else.

It's fun that I could say that this video is just me running a buzzy sound into a filter and sweeping the filter parameters with a stepped CV sequence and some LFOs."

Morphor ECHON 6 #2 | Winterdagen

video upload by Winterdagen

"This is one of the most beautiful synth sounds I've ever heard.

For this patch on the amazing ECHON 6 synthesizer by Morphor, I'm not using its exciter/synth section at all. The sound comes from its 6 BBD delay lines feedbacking indefinitely. The fact that the people at Morphor got to make BBD delay chips track pitch this well is already wild, but how they also managed to implement the super special glide you're hearing in this patch is beyond me. It sounds so alive!

I made use of ECHON 6's super intuitive and extensive mod section to give this patch some movement; with some LFOs I'm slowly opening and closing the filter in the feedback path and moving the voices in the stereo field. I applied keytracking to the LFO speeds making sure that each voice has different movements and a different place in the stereo field. I love that you can route keytracking to anything on ECHON 6.

I did use a fair bit of Valhalla Vintage Verb for this patch as the synth doesn't have an internal reverb. A gliding patch like this really benefits from some time based effects.

Every time I sit down with ECHON 6 for a bit, a new sound that I've never made on any other synth arises, it's so cool! I've made a lot more music with it and I'm super exited to show you.

I'm off to Superbooth now, I''ll be back with a new video next week! If you happen to be at Superbooth as well and want to say hi, feel free to shoot me a message on Instagram."

Buchla TTA 248T MARF | Quick Start 'Manual'.

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"I think it's the first time I made a tutorial without actually using the module. I made two 'Building a MARF' videos where I'd use regular modules like Metropolix, Rene and Stages to mimic the workflow and it already had great music. My channel is educational and I love to make videos like this to learn the module instead of showing it off.

The 248T 'MARF' is a Multiple Arbitrary Function Generator, which translates to a freeform modular composer for melody, expression, and extremely complex movement over time. It's hard to find all that in a single module, so maybe this explains why the 248 is a panel.

If you don't aspire to own a budget Buchla from TTA, your closest equivalent is a Maths with Rene V2. If you have those, try to patch it up like a MARF and be amazed. Simply use cycles as clocks and use any X, Y or C channel for time intervals (to change cycle speeds). In my humble opinion, you shouldn't buy a 5K modular for making 16 step sawtooth sequences. It's about happy accidents and they don't happen if you stay on the path like a responsible musician."

Twenties - Hybrid Setup Jam (Analog + Move)

video upload by 2-Minute Warning

"This one’s built around two main pieces of gear: the Vermona Perfourmer handling nearly all melodic duties (bass, plucks, lead), and the Ableton Move taking care of drums plus a few piano/strings layers.

You already know the Perfourmer is one of my all-time favorites, but the Move keeps surprising me: super versatile for a 4-track box, and I feel like it doesn’t get as much love as it deserves ❤️

Everything is sequenced from the Hapax, I skipped the Move’s internal sequencer this time as it's easier to control all the sequences only on one machine. The breaks come from the Hapax 'FILL' feature as usual.

I treated the Perfourmer like three separate instruments:
Voices 1 & 2 → plucks (through H90)
Voice 3 → bass (Apocalypse + Julianna)
Voice 4 → lead (Lofi Junky + BigSky + Pill for ducking)"

Cuckoo Introduces the SVENSSON 49 Looping Keyboard by AUXY

I gave the new SVENSSON 49 keyboard my sound signature! Dream collab with AUXY!
video upload by True Cuckoo

"Everything about the new SVENSSON 49 keyboard by AUXY, in this friendly Tutorial."

"Svensson 49 is a digital keyboard with expressive sounds, a playful looper, and a personality of its own.

No menus to dive through. No manual to read before you start. Just play, loop, and explore your musical ideas.

Svensson uses a mix of samples and wavetables to generate sounds that range from acoustic to synthetic, with a special focus on everything in between.

The sounds are designed by Cuckoo. We love how much care he puts into making his sounds feel colorful and expressive, and how naturally he blends synths with pianos and other acoustic instruments.

Loop and Layer
Svensson keeps track of the notes you play, so you don’t have to hit record before you start. If you like what you just played, hit Loop to capture it.

The four sound categories are also separate parts that can be looped individually. Loops can be as long as you want, and you can add as many layers as you want.

Build Quality
Svensson has a metal body with solid oak sides and is manufactured in Germany. It uses a Fatar keyboard with 49 semi-weighted, velocity-sensitive keys.

The built-in speaker is custom-made by Swedish speaker guru Ingvar Öhman. It's surprisingly loud and lets you play so other people can hear without additional gear. Perfect for living room jams.

Connections
Sustain pedal
Stereo line out
Headphones
USB-A for class-compliant audio and MIDI
USB-C for power and data

Availability
We're on the final stretch of getting Svensson ready for production. The price is not fully locked in, but expected to be around 899 EUR / 999 USD.

Preorders for the first limited batch will start soon. The first units will ship to customers in early fall 2026."

Befaco Introduces Iroi Stereo Effects Processor Eurorack Module

video upload by Befacosynth

"A Shortcut for Atmospheric Processing
Iroi is a compact, 18 HP stereo effects powerhouse designed to turn any external signal into a deep, evolving soundscape. It inherits the sophisticated processing chain of its predecessor, Oneiroi. Combines a unique signal chain composed of a multimode filter, a VCA, a unique character resonator, a versatile delay, and an experimental Reverb. The filter - VCA act like a block that can be placed at any point on the signal chain"

Atmospheric FX Processing in Eurorack // IROI from BEFACO

video upload by DivKid and Befacosynth

"Here's Iroi from Befaco, which is the right hand side of Oneiroi standing alone at 18HP as a stereo atmospheric sound FX processor for Eurorack. There's improvements made and more processing headroom with Iroi and it offers stereo multimode filter, 3 band resonator, 2 tape delay and ambience reverb and reverse FX. Lots of CV, on board modulation and randomisation."

Press release follows:

"BEFACO's NEW MODULE: IROI

The Oneiroi, in Greek mythology, were dark-winged spirits of the night who emerged to bring dreams and nightmares to mortals. Our ambient synthesizer, Oneiroi, takes its name from them, evoking that shifting, dreamlike realm of sound.

IROI is derived from 'Oneiroi' and carries that same essence forward, distilling it into something more compact and open to external signals, while preserving its cinematic feel that connects us to the world of dreams and the unknown.

What is IROI?

IROI is a stereo effects module based on the right half of the original Oneiroi. It applies Oneiroi’s sonic character to external sources in a more compact format, while incorporating subtle improvements developed throughout the Oneiroi project. Designed to shape, transform, and immerse sound, Iroi carries forward the dreamlike essence of its predecessor into a dedicated effects processor.

Audio Core: Powered by OWL mk3, featuring 24-bit 48 kHz stereo audio resolution (with 32-bit internal processing) and a full stereo signal path.

Filter: Multimode filter offering low-pass, band-pass, high-pass, and comb filtering, with flexible positioning within the effects chain.

Digital VCA.

Resonator: Three-band resonator with dedicated tune and feedback controls.

Delay: Two-tap echo (delay) with adjustable time and density.

Reverb: Comprehensive reverb effect with macro control over size, filtering, and direction.

Modulation: Various types of self-modulation, offering configurable routing and control over level and speed.

Control Voltage (CV): CV inputs for all primary parameters. Four of these inputs are dynamically assignable to secondary parameters.

Synchronization: External sync input supports clock speeds from 30 BPM to 300 BPM.

Randomization: Powerful randomizer with a flexible mapping system, including undo/redo functionality.

IROI is set to be released on April 30th, 2026 and the launching price will be 275€ (assembled version) and 210€ (DIY Kit).

Find us at Superbooth 2026, in BoothZ180 to see IROI live and take a peek at our upcoming products, we're pretty sure you'll love them."
