Me rehearsing with two Casiotones

YouTube via DX5
"Me tweaking and exploring the posibilites of two Casio VL-1 VL TONE for covering Depeche Mode "Everything Counts" with those small instruments.
Some problems due to the keyboard size. It sounds nice when you feel the VL TONE sounding "Duophonic".

A full cover with the casios coming soon"

"Today was a fairly hectic day at the studio. We had to sort out a new ending for Tengils March as well as record a new version in a new key for a song called frihetssången (the freedom song). This film shows Matti recording the classic 3 violins sound on Mellotron 400 #1517. This sound was recorded by Harry Chamberlin in his bedroom using the old ladies from the church orchestra. This is probably nxt to the flutes the most recognized Mellotron sound.

This film was shot at the Roth Händle studio in Stockholm. This is where I record and produce albums, artists and bands For more information, blogs and booking of the studio please visit www.roth-handle.nu It hasnt been updated for ages but you might find some stuff of interest there. The studio started in 1998 in my apartment in Stockholm with a akai DPS-12 ( a12 track hard disc recorder). I then moved to a very small room at a abandoned shipyard at Finnboda in Stockholm.

Best regards and thanks for watching.

Mattias"

The format encompasses composed classical music, improvised music, pop music, electronic dance music and performances in which music is combined with visual arts are all included.

This year STEIM was involved in two acts: the installation work PulseFF by Jan-Bas Bollen was developed by Byungjun Kwon at STEIM, and the Nono piece Post-prae-ludium No.1 “per Donau” was rehearsed at the STEIM studios. As always STEIM contributed also with providing equipment.
