Squidfanny - Circuit Bent - Speak & Write

YouTube via squidfanny — April 15, 2010 — "Hello SONODROME............ :-)

Glitched out Speak & Write, for a 'mate-of-a-mate'.

Speak & Write sounds very similar to Speak & Math; ie loud, grainy mechanical man's voice."

Update:

Squidfanny - Glitch-Bitch II

squidfanny — April 15, 2010 — Glitch-Bitch II...... Another Mad-Box similar to Glitch-Bitch I.

Made from the Hacked (Test Mode) & Circuit Bent remains of a vintage talking computer toy, some spare bits from my salvage box & Precision Oscillator.

Seriously extreme Glitch synth/Sound module

"Native Instruments Introduces PARANORMAL SPECTRUMS

Berlin, April 15th, 2010 – Native Instruments today introduced PARANORMAL SPECTRUMS, a new KORE-powered instrument that creates mysterious and unsettling sonic atmospheres. For use with KORE 2 and the free KORE PLAYER, PARANORMAL SPECTRUMS is a powerful resource for suspenseful film and game scores in the horror, thriller and mystery domain, and is also suitable for dark electronic music styles.

Based on atmospheric field recordings, unusual sampled sounds and intricate synthesizer programming, PARANORMAL SPECTRUMS offers a wide assortment of evocative pads and sinister soundscapes, as well as intense mallets, flutes, bells and synth sounds that are both original and highly playable. It takes advantage of the integrated engines of KORE 2 and KORE PLAYER, combining the advanced sampling features of KONTAKT with the versatile synthesis functions of MASSIVE and ABSYNTH and the sound processing capabilities of GUITAR RIG to create deep, complex and charismatic sounds that can be efficiently modulated and brought to life.

PARANORMAL SPECTRUMS provides 100 KoreSounds with eight morphable Sound Variations each, resulting in 800 individual sounds. Concise parameter assignments allow for immediate, intuitive sound tweaking in KORE 2 and KORE PLAYER. Full musical metadata for all presets also makes PARANORMAL SPECTRUMS integrate seamlessly with any individual collection of KORE instruments.

PARANORMAL SPECTRUMS is available for download in the NI Online Shop for $79 / 69 EUR."

Józef Skrzek plays great Minimoog solo

YouTube via rockowy — November 24, 2006 — "Great Minimoog solo played by Josef (Józef) Skrzek (SBB) on his solo gig in 2004. You can find whole concert on CD "Viator - Znak Pokoju" (Viator - Sign of Peace)."

Some only "play" their instrument...

"I share with it a small portion of myself with each session. This one has been with me for a long time, and has been tickled into singing beautiful harmonies whilst balancing a cocktail glass. I pity the youth who, rather than express themselves, are content with "beatz". Not only do I pity them, but I find them disgraceful."

Oli Rubow @ Uwe Schenk trifft... 2/2

"via e-beats.net:

Oli Rubow is probably the most famous drummer in electronic music in Germany.
In this YouTube video he presents his idea of an organic electronic live act,
a combination of live drums and real time audio deconstruction with vocoder, delay, reverb shots & filter plus some acid from a tb-303 clone...

YouTube Teaser

Here you watch the entire 20 minutes solo:
http://www.frootloop.de/USt-Archiv/oliundfola.mp4

Used electronics:
Snare drum is routed through a Line 6 DL-4 Delay + EHX Vocoder and a big reverb.
A Roland kick trigger goes into a Jomox Mbase followed by a Boss Space Echo and the Oto Biscuit.
A decent 16tel pulse comes from: Acidlab Bassline 2, Abelton Live controlled by a Launchpad.
