MEM - Magic Echo Music PALette Semi Modular Synth

via this auction
"PALettes have been played live by electronic and noise musicians around the world and are built to satisfy the sonic palettes of modular synth lovers and experimenters. If you are looking to get analog sounds, a unique filter that can also distort and get dirty, with a large option of CV controls on board, as well as external jacks to interface with other CV/Gate synths, this is for you.
The PALette synthesizer has two oscillators with individual and linked CV inputs, ramp, saw and square with pulse width modulation, a hard sync and a master tune control that is switchable on/off. Fine tuners make easier for playing octaves with both oscillators, and there are switches that route the LFO, two envelopes, and Sample and Hold to either oscillators. Both are callibrated to play 1V/octave with other CV, V/oct keyboards.

PINK noise and WHITE noise, Audio Input processed through the VCF.
The Sample and Hold takes external sample sources as well as on board LFO and Envelopes. The VCF is a state variable (Band Pass and Low Pass) filter based on the 13700 OTAs, designed to self oscillate at full resonance and is also callibrated to play 1V/Octave so you get your smooth bassy synth lines. There is a CV input on/off switch that routes the input to the filter from the CV input jack. This allows you to sync your CV input to the oscillators.

The Envelope Generators are routed to the oscillators, filter, and VCA by a switch and also take gate inputs. The two Gate inputs are synced so you can trigger them both, or use a dummy plug to disconnect the two. Attack and Release Envelopes will also re-trigger with the Loop switch (in trigger mode), and also can be triggered by the manual switch. Each Envelope Generator can also be triggered by the other, and will ping-pong after each Release cycle until you switch the function to "off".
More info on the PALette, samples, and photos are available at ---> www.magicechomusic.com

"An original song that I wrote myself.
Here's my latest shot at something close to progressive house music. I started out by trying to replicate a Shinichi Osawa song called IRIS, but then the song just evolved from there. Please enjoy! =)

PNW SynthFest 2011 - Steve Fisk and the ARP 2600

YouTube Uploaded by matrixsynth on Oct 31, 2011 - You can set this one to 1080p if you want.

Three parts. Steve Fisk at the PNW SynthFest going over his ARP 2600 in the "Explanatorium." a room dedicated for presentations during the event. You can find some info on Steve Fisk on Wikipedia and his website, http://www.stevefisk.com/ and Facebook page.

This is the first set of videos I took for the PNW SynthFest on my iPhone 4S of all things. I decided to use the 4S for video and the Canon Rebel T2i for stills. You can find the pis here. See the PNW SynthFest label for more coverage of the event.

You might wonder how I held the iPhone 4S so steadily. I didn't. I used the SnapMount Tripod Mount for iPhone 4/4S. You can find it on Amazon. It works really well.
