Sugar Bytes Cyclop Now Available

via Sugar Bytes

"Cyclop has landed. A powerful monster that has grown out of all the sounds in the universe. And with it comes bass — lots of it. Synthesis in its purest form. Spectral, digital, or fat analog. Use your own samples as a wavetable, throw effect sequencer orgies, drop on filters and make wobble basses never heard before. Cyclop is here to create new sound. Wrap your bass around your drums like melted sugar around a hot chili pepper. Cyclop is monophic and it will blow your mind. Wobble bass? Dubstep? Do something completely new!

New kinds of modulators like the Wobble Generator and the Sound Knob.

FX-Sequencer, also to be controlled by the FX-Knob.

6 Synthesis Engines: Saw Regiment, Analog Sync, FM, Transformer, Spectromat, Phase Stressor

10 state of the art Filter types, plus vowel mode.

Routing Module for Synth / Filter patching, including Overdrive.

Sub Oscillator, Bass Processor, one-view modulation-flow.

Recommended by BoysNoize, Skrillex, Peaches, Modeselektor, SiriusMo, Mouse on Mars, Biohazard.

Over 800 presets included, most of them from various artists.

Cyclop comes as standalone application and VST/AU/RTAS/AAX plugin."

MMTA Synth Meeting 2012 via Studio Wormbone

YouTube Published on Jun 2, 2012 by StudioWormbone01

"This is a glimpse of the 2012 MMTA (Mostly Modular Trade Association) meeting on June 2 at the Experience Music Project in Seattle. In previous years this annual event was referred to as the Pacific Northwest Synth Meeting. As usual, this year there were a lot of glorious synthesizers on display. There were many modular systems and some classic analogs, as well as some recently launched products by manufacturers like Moog, John Bowen, Casio, Dave Smith, and too many others to list."

See the event labels below for some of the crossover events.

"Session #5, Take #8. The final video with the Shout Out Mooger Fooger modular, featuring Willie Diemenzz and Jaycie. This one took a while to edit as I was trying out "stuff" for the latter half, in the patching section.

"Sorry for not posting any videos recently. I'm still progressing on my projects (like Soldier Of), which you can see for yourself by to following me on Twitter.

So, this is a song that I made in SunVox, just for fun (not for a game's OST). I tried to keep it 'old-school', with a 'traditional tracker flow', using a single pattern at a time. It's definitely interesting to try out.

Oh, and this vid was recorded with KRUT, which is pretty nice for an open-source cross-platform screen recorder. :)

Check it out if you need to record your screen!

Roland Jupiter 4 and TR-606 Experiment

YouTube Published on Jun 2, 2012 by zibbybone

"I was messing with my JP-4 today and noticed that not only can you sync the arpeggiator to external clock, but there is a sample and hold like feature labeled VCF MOD that can sync to external clock. So I've got a minimalist beat on the 606 running through the Korg Kaoss Pad Quad using its looper (for snare fills), decimator and reverb/delay and the Jupiter 4 running through the Dark Matter preset on the Eventide Space. I tried to come up with some other stuff to add with my FIZMO and JD-800, but decided to record this experiment before going to bed. Maybe I'll come back to it sometime."
