Berlin School style Electronic Music Event Gasometer Improvised Concert Oberhausen
Published on Feb 18, 2013
"Held on October 28th, 2006. This is the full movie and some preparations of the day before. The goal of this meeting was to do an improvised electronic music concert like those of the Tangerine Dream in the seventies by some fans.
The Gasometer in Oberhausen is an unique location. The Oberhausen gasometer, the largest disc-type gas holder in Europe, is an industrial monument located in Oberhausen, Germany. It was constructed between 1927 and 1929. It has a long reverb because of its height 117.5 m (385 ft) and its diameter of 67.6 m (222 ft).
The three guys who performed this unique concert are:
Hajo Liese
Till Kopper
René van der Wouden"

Emu VCO Range Switch Module

via Tony Wride on Emu Systems Modular Synthesizer Facebook
"VCO Range Switch Module! Here is the prototype (blank panel with acetate sheet) of the VCO Range Switches module. I produced the PCB for the Aviator and added the extra IC socket so that it would connect to the Emu Modular. It outputs 1 Volt increments meaning you can get instant Octave shifting. In my system I will pre-patch this rather than use the sockets. Question is would it be better not to have the sockets? If anyone is interested in getting one for their Emu Modular let me know. I already have the PCBs and about to get the front panels made."

"The Starkey Hearing Science was originally built in 1977 for hear and speech sciences experimentation, today some use this machine as synthesizer, gate, trig-processor or trig sequencer. This is very desirable and are rare. This one come from the Northern Illinois University.
It's a sort of modular synthesizer with a special look like an EMS VCS3, it can make very strange sounds thru the many combinations between 4 vco's, noise, 3 filters, inverter, phase control, clipper (for distortion), output limiting, attenuators, AR gates, gate sequencer, mixers, probability analog switches and external input where you can process any type of mic or line signal and more other particular modules... In this auction are included some 2mm Pomona connectors. Respect other Starkey models that I have seen around, this unit has a built in frequencymeter. There are some demos on the web, for example: [link]"
