80s Sci FI Film - Night Time Flying Taxi Music

Published on Jan 26, 2015 Mitch Wiseman

"I imagined a scene at night with a character sitting in the back of a flying taxi, rain hitting the window, and the neon city scape spreading below in every direction.

The Minibrute is going through an MXR Carbon Copy, and valhalla reverb, the Prophet 08, Tempest, and Little phatty were also used. I can't believe the mini brute only has one oscillator, it has such a huge sound!"

"Richard Devine interview Making Of "Modular UI" soundpack with SoundMorph.com

Modular UI is an advanced user interface library designed by world renowned sound designer and musician Richard Devine.

Designed and sourced entirely from Richard Devine’s personal and exclusive Eurorack modular synths and processors collection, the Modular UI soundpack combines the retro, clean sound of analog with the futuristic tech of the new wave of advanced analog and digital synthesis from modular synths, evoking flashbacks of iconic sound design heard in both classic and modern sci-fi films.

The Modular UI soundpack gives you access to sounds created by one of the masters of modular synths and sound design, and is sourced from equipment that would take a lifetime to purchase and assemble, giving an incredible value to this soundpack both artistically and financially.

Utilizing many Eurorack modules that have not yet been released to the public and containing samples equally suited to sound designers and electronic musicians alike, Modular UI is in a class by itself!

Modular UI features 1,000+ sounds and 5.99Gb of 24bit/96khz .WAV files, all meticulously embedded with Soundminer & Bashead metadata, including:
- Calculations and Text

"This week I present you with a soundpack that provides soulful flutes, rumbling bass, bongos, hand played percussion and some really awesome vocal shots. It’s another 16 pad pack, but let me assure you there are many layers and samples to each pad. I really enjoy hiding these numerous samples within one bank as it allows you to vary the sound without having to break your rhythm or switch banks. Enjoy!

Nova Musik - Pittsburg Modular Synthesizers Foundation 3.1+ with Richard Nicol at NAMM 2015

Published on Jan 26, 2015 Nova Musik

"Check out great deals on the Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers Foundation 3.1+ at Nova Musik: http://www.novamusik.com/modular/euro...

Richard Nicol from Pittsburgh Modular gives us an overview of the new Foundation 3.1+ expandable, complete voice analog modular synthesizer, which comes with an extra 104hp of expansion space for more modules.

The Foundation 3.1+ Synthesizer is the expandable version of a classic. A standalone, fully modular synthesizer styled after the great monosynths of the past, the Foundation 3.1+ has no hardwired signal path or fixed voice architecture to restrict creativity. An all analog signal path driving massive oscillators and multiple filters pushes the Foundation 3.1+ Synthesizer to new worlds of musical creativity. An unpatched Foundation 3.1+ offers a clean slate for sonic exploration and sound design, and the open format of a modular synthesizer allows for greater control and a deeper understanding of synthesis.

The Foundation 3.1+ Synthesizer is designed to function as a standalone instrument. However, the Foundation 3.1+ is a 100% eurorack compatible modular synthesizer. The system is made up of 13 individual eurorack format synthesizer modules which can be removed, reorganized, and replaced with Pittsburgh Modular or other eurorack compatible modules. The Foundation 3.1+ Synthesizer uses the Pittsburgh Modular Move [208] Black Case and Power Rail to house and power the modules."
