Synth Spotting in Step Up (2006)

Some Synths in TV and Film spotting, including in the credits, for the 2006 film Step Up, in via swissdoc: "I found these pictures in the Step Up movie from 2006, in the end credits Moog Music is listed, but I did not spot a single Moog in the movie. Clear hits are Korg Karma and Akai MPC 1000."

See the Synths in TV and Film post and channel label below for more. This was a site meme that started back in 2007.

via the seller: "This is a 1 of a Kind 'Theresynthesizer' or combination Theremin Synthesizer. It was built by a former National High Magnetic Field Laboratory Electronic Engineer Designer who was quite gifted. He created quite a few unique devices before his passing a few years ago. There are a lot of switches and connections associated with this piece of equipment and I'd be lying if I said I knew what everyone of them did. One thing is very neat that I noticed. When you enjoy the Theremin portion of this creation, the LED lights on top react to the signal and illuminate back and forth. Very cool. The power supply is separate from the main unit as is the sawtooth generator. The cabinet is constructed of metal and plexiglass and is a physical masterpiece. Please see images for more detail and rest assured that this is a unique one of a kind piece of electronic art that will bring you much joy trying to figure out everything about it."

"Amazing fat two-voice analog sound with mini-sequencer that plays 8 step sequences and features sample/hold. Includes power cord... Clean and in great shape. Working 100% with original parts. The key bushings are in good shape with little use. Has lid cover but latch has been repaired. It looks fine and holds cover on well - see photo. The bottom of the case has scuff marks-see photo."

MFB 522 drumcomputer demo

Published on May 12, 2015 Shimanski Beats

"demonstration of the fully analogue drum machine MFB 522. Sounds like a 'little brother' of the TR-808.
This is the pure sound of the machine, neither added FX nor post processing.

First the sounds, then some patterns to show the potential of the machine."
