4ms - Spectral Multiband Resonator (SMR)
Published on Sep 21, 2015
"Here's the full overview of the Spectral Multiband Resonator or 'SMR'. Had loads of fun with this, it's a massively powerful tool to have in the rack. For studio style sound design or live sound manipulation. It works great with live acoustic sources or just dropping modular based FX or basic waveforms in.
Here's a "First Patch" that I made when I first got the unit - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKJnS...[posted here] - some musical drones on offer there.
Feels like everytime I go play with this there's more that I could keep doing regarding a video but it had to stop somewhere! Fire away with any questions.

New Soviet Polivoks Desktop Synth from Alex Pleninger in the Works
Update: demo videos added below.
An approved clone of the Polivoks coming from Alex Pleninger.

Some new info from Alex Pleninger in via Soviet Space Child:

The osc are heavily reworked to provide stability, which is really excellent
Modulator made cv controlled, with additional waveforms
And all stuff is still 100% analogue
Excluding midi"
I asked him further about the VCO designs, i.e. if they're based on the originals, and he had this to say:
"Yes, the design is almost the same as in the old one
And one more point
The machine is approved by Kuzmin
We signed a deal
And it is built like a tank, believe me"
And via traffkin in the comments: "in close collaboration with Alexey Taber, great engineer and synth guru :)"

Novation Drum Station iPad editor

"Free download, no login or registration required: http://midi.theunfed.com/
To use this editor you have to have the TB MIDI stuff app on your iPad. It is available in the app store for under $5. All 808 and 909 parameters are accessible. Sorry about the mid-video template editing, but this was a final check to see if all parameters were working and at least you get to see how easy it is to change the MIDI messages being sent from TBMS."
