via iZotope

"Think outside the vox.

Ready for a transformative vocal experience? With VocalSynth, iconic vocal sounds from decades past and the wild vocal sounds you’ve only heard in your head are finally within reach.

Manipulate your voice to create electronic vocal textures, robot sounds, computerized harmonies, vocoder and talkbox effects, thick octaves or doubles, and everything in between.

Unique vocal effects have driven hit songs and launched careers. It’s time for your vocals to stand out, too.

Price: $199.00 $149.00 USD

Key Features

Four vocal engines: Get robotic vocals (Vocoder), organic harmonies (Polyvoice), glitchy digital speech (Compuvox), and singing synthesized sounds (Talkbox).

Specialized vocal effects: Add edgy or tasteful distortion, filters, speaker convolution modeling, beat-repeating madness, and wide stereo delays.

Pitch correction: Correct off-key notes in your vocals with real-time pitch correction with natural-sounding results.

Streamlined voice generation: Add harmonies, octaves, or unisons in Auto mode, or get the exact harmony voicings you want.

Presets: Quickly access classic sounds you’ve known and loved, plus distinctive new combinations of all four vocal engines."

Fluxpad intro by Andi Toma (Mouse on Mars)

Published on Feb 21, 2016 mouse on mars youtube official

"Fluxpad is a new app on MoMinstruments, that just entered beta test phase. It's developed by Mouse on Mars’ Andi Toma & Jan St. Werner and sqrt-developer Jan T V Falkenstein. In Fluxpad you 'paint' in your music, which leads to completely different results, when compared to traditional sequencer."

Broken Cat - Octave The Cat in partially working order still sounds awesome

Published on May 18, 2016 Earmonkey Music

"Just a few minutes with a partially functional Octave The Cat. The keyboard won't track. The filter works on and off (wasn't working in this video) and it does weird shit. But I got this thing for $100 yesterday and it sounds bloody awesome. Even broken. Can't wait to get it serviced and all working."

ADDAC503 Marble Physics

ADDAC503 Marble Physics - Part II

"Newtonian physics on a modular synth! The ADDAC503 Marble Physics is a CV generator based on the mechanics behavior of a marble on a tray.

Through this realtime physics simulator you'll be able to control several parameters that will affect the behavior of a model of a spherical object against a plane. You can tilt the plane or bump the marble with a certain strength, which will cause it to roll and bounce on elastic walls.

The model will output the object's XY position or velocity and you can control other physical parameters, like the walls' elasticity or the strength of a bump. When the marble hits walls the bounce output triggers and you can additionally lock the X axis for a one dimension simulation. Finally you can also set the overall speed of the simulation.

By controlling all of these properties you be able simulate several scenarios where the marble falls, gets gently pulled by gravity, orbits indefinitely or bounces on walls like a pinball. Truly engaging physics simulations!"

Live Jam #34 - Techno / Noise / Drone - Arturia Beatstep Pro and Eurorack modular synthesizer

Published on May 17, 2016 TRM

"The power supply for my portable case arrived. I will probably experiment with some jams that might work in a minimal live setup in the future. Just a modular case and the Beatstep Pro.

All sounds are from the modular. Two basic voices: 1 - Dixie II - uFold - MMG - Linix. 2 - a143-4 - Wasp - Linix. Kick and hihat are from Peaks in drum mode. Percussion is from noise and a tri at audio rate from the a143-4 through the Make noise LxD. All drums go through the Echo for random delays. There is a slow running Tri lfo going to both the filters. And some audio rate modulation is send through attenuators to the pitch from both oscillators. Final out is mixed with the output from Clouds.

Stuff used:
Arturia Beatstep Pro and a Eurorack modular synthesizer with:

Doepfer: a-118, a-119, a-124, a-143-4, a-148, a-156, a-160-2, a-199
Intellijel: Dixie II, uFold, Quadra, 2xTriat , Linux, mult
Make noise: MMG, Lxd
Mutable instruments: Clouds, Peaks
MFB: Dual LFO
Synthrotek: Echo, Deluxe power

Audio via the Behringer mixer to a Moto Ultralite MK3 hybrid.
External effects: T.C electronics M350 for reverb.

No post processing."
