Synth Snippets Modal 002

Published on Apr 12, 2017 Richard Lacy

"Working on a patch for the Modal 002 and thought I'd share! Bit of reverb and delay from Pro Tools, but nothing else. The Pre-amps are Rupert Neve Portico II channels, so it's very clean!
Sorry, my right arm gets in the way occasionally; I'm new to this video malarchy and this is my first bit of video. I'll do more if people like it! Thanks for watching."

"This popular self-playing patch is usually implemented on modular systems, but the 0-Coast is the rare standalone synthesizer with the necessary power and capability. Use this as a jumping off point for your own generative explorations.

Yamaha DX200 Return of the Funky FM Beats! 2017

"Yamaha DX200 Return of the Funky FM Beats! 2017
Synthesizer demo by Rik Marston 100% No Talking!
**Watch in HD!!** **Turn this UP!!!!**

The incredible Yamaha DX200 is back in full force,
adding a little ACID TB-303 love and some intense
Industrial beats & grooves in this video demo.
Audio was recorded a little bit lower than last time
to avoid any clipping but there is some slight
clipping @ 01:01 & 01:41. So be careful my friends!
Such a fun groovebox to tweak, just a BLAST
to shape the sounds on the fly & get everyone
excited on the dance floor!!!
Yamaha, we could use another groovebox
or Loopfactory like this again, especially with
the new FM-X technologies of the Montage.
It's now 2017. How about it??

Thank you for watching!
More Synthesizer Demos,
Ambient Chill Zen Music,
UFOs & strange stuff...
COMING SOON!

Throwing Shade - Against The Clock

Published on Apr 13, 2017 FACTmagazine

"Kaleidoscopic sounds from an NTS favorite.

Throwing Shade's regular show on NTS Radio is one of the London station's best, offering an eclectic selection of weird and wonderful music from around the world.

Her own music is just as colorful. Last year's House of Silk EP, released on UK institution Ninja Tune, was a kaleidoscopic trip through glittering melodies and neon synth moods.

We met up with Throwing Shade in her West London studio, where we set her the challenge of making one of her signature pop tracks in just 10 minutes.
