New York School of Synthesis - Synth Ts & Coffee Mugs

You can order them here.

"New York School of Synthesis T-Shirts in both black and white (sizes: S, M, L, XL) ready to ship all over the planet in plenty of time for the upcoming Holidays. And if you're looking for something different to get for your favorite synthesist (including yourself) we've got a hearty stock of New York School of Synthesis Coffee Mugs. They're the perfect solution for recovering from those late-night synth sessions, wrestling with wayward waveforms and fickle filters, with a steaming cuppa liquid caffein (or hot-chocolate or tea, if that's how your roll). You'll be the envy of all your friends, when out and about, sporting one of these fine NYSS T-Shirts (in black or white). Place your order's now and they'll ship in plenty of time for the upcoming holidays."

And don't miss the videos posted here back in 2012. The T was also featured in a couple of videos here and here.

Old Cool Echoes by Tony Rolando of Make Noise Music

"Imagine you wished away your surroundings and found yourself in a synthetic landscape where the simplest 3 color pattern animated an entire horizon. If you could suppress your memory enough to experience the new beauty of it, but not so much that you lost the pieces of yourself that make life worth living, this could be your soundtrack.

Translucent

video upload by Martin Peters

"Sometimes I get a melody or sequence line in my head and I record it humming in my iPhone. And sometimes I program that in the Cirklon. Most of the time it appears that it hasn't got the potential that I thought it would have. Then I start changing bits and then all of the sudden I think it is going somewhere. That's how this track was born and recorded in about 2 hours.

The track starts with sequences from the 4ms Ensemble Oscillator, the Tom Oberheim SEM and the Synthesizers.com Modular doing the bass-line with some randomness. After that a sequence on the DSI Mopho is added. An FM-like tone from the Waldorf Q Keyboard is used for the melody followed by the Roland JD-800 for some Fairlight-like chords. After that the Verbos Harmonic Oscillator doubles the sequence from the 4ms Ensemble Oscillator. The track is recorded live on the X-Live SD card of the Behringer X32 Compact and mixed afterwards in Studio One.

Triple Voltage Controlled Crossfader by Arcus Audio

video upload by Patchwerks Seattle

"In this video resident expert Matthew Piecora (aka EZBOT) shares a few useful patches with the incredibly powerful and fun to use Triple VC Xfader by Arcus Audio.

Open up a world of new sounds and interesting modulation sources with the triple VC XFader from Arcus Audio! Crossfade between oscillators to create new tones, or fade between control voltages for new, complex modulations. Use audio rate CV for amplitude modulation, or take the normalized outputs to create a stereo path sending each output to different effects. Even try inserting at the end of two patches to crossfade between them. Great for adding variation in a live setting or when just jamming. Of course you can always self-patch to push it even further, or use as a standard triple LIN/EXP VCA. The possibilities are endless with this module!

- Triple Voltage Controlled Crossfader (VC XFader) with selectable linear or exponential CV response. CV attenuverters. Bi-color LEDs for each CV signal as well as each channel output. LED indication of channel bias.
- Soft touch knobs for attenuverters, bias, and LIN/EXP controls.
- Each of 3 crossfaders is normalled (mixed) to the next channel. Normalization is broken when outputs are patched. This allows the unit to work as a 6 input crossfader, triple VCA, or any combination between.
