"This is my new song produced with my favorite setup !
I really enjoyed creating this new "pluck" sound on the Arturia Microfreak. The modulation matrice offers countless possibilities 🤩

My setup 🎹:
Microfreak : arpeggio, melody 1
Volca Bass: bass, melody 2
Novation Circuit Tracks: Chords, drums, bass
Korg NTS-1 / potarbox: reverb, ping pong delay, transition

This semi-improvised jam was performed and recorded live to a stereo output. As usual, I have edited the mix in Ableton to make sure I'm getting the best volume out of the track."

"One day while working, I passed this beautiful ruined 15th century chapel.
I knew immediately that I wanted to come back here to make music.

So I got up on this beautiful summer morning and drove to the chapel.

This is one of my very first live performances using the MPC Live 2 paired with the Elektron Digitakt and the amazing Microfreak by Arturia.

it’s a great example of very authentic and special step sequencer. very rare to find. it can be a straight forward control station, but also has unique experimental features as rotate, step delay, and so on.

so it is very well balanced for programming straight forward melodies/rhythms, or to do something completely unpredictable and polyrhythmical.
