"Here's a video about trying to find a cool case layout that helps to improvise with external instruments. In my case, the mellotron. I'll be using Arbhar for symphonic textures, and Morphagene and BitBox for the blips and atmospheres. Dutch Modular Fest 2025 was hosted by WORM Rotterdam, an amazing creative space for experimental electronic music. It's like a museum where you can book classic gear and record something really special. DMF footage was shot by ‪@SERUMMM‬ who made cool DMF impressions."

The track was produced on the M8 Tracker Model:02, then performed through the ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ MOOD MKII with added micro-loops, reverb, and pitch-shift effects.

Beats are mainly triggered using the M8’s Sampler. The main chords are also played by loading synth samples into the Sampler.

At times, the DJ Filter cutoff on the M8 is adjusted during performance."

Flanging & phasing feedback fun with Ubique from Manifold Research Centre

"In this video, Tom explores Ubique, a collaboration between Manifold Research Centre and Heretic Machines. It’s a 14HP Eurorack module that combines a BBD flanger and a transistor ladder 10-stage phaser. They have their own inputs and outputs, but the output of the flanger is also summed to the input of the phaser, and the output of the phaser can be fed back into the flanger via the feedback slider, so you can create an infinite loop of flanging and phasing.

Awesome flager/phaser combo from the mighty Manifold Research Centre. One of the coolest sound processors we've heard for a while!

Manufacturer's description Ubique is a feedback phase network contained within a module for the Euroack ecosystem. It is a lens into the micro time domain, consisting of two distinct but entangled cores.

The left core is a BBD flanger or short delay based on V3205D, with a range from 5ms to about 250ms. The right core is a transistor ladder 10-stage phaser.

Each one of the sections has its own audio input with attenuator (AUDIO IN), output (OUT), frequency (FREQ) and feedback controls (FDBK), CV inputs over frequency with attenuverters (CV) and CV inputs over resonance (Q CV). LEFT side features a DRY/WET control (only for the flanger out), and RIGHT side an INVERT switch (to change the color of your phasing)."
