"A rare opportunity to own a Rhodes Chroma + Enabler!!!

All voice cards recapped, new PSU, CC+, Original re-foamed road case for the Chroma and a Brand new Orange Calzone for the Enabler (will add photos of cases soon just need to pull them out) Programming manual, Performance manual, Interface Manual, Dual Foot switch, Volume Pedal, sequence Pedal, CC+ Midi break out box, Behringer BCR2000 with the special Chroma overlay plus other misc collectable stuff like the OG brochure, parameter chart and print ads as pictured.

Chroma is perfect working order, i spent a fortune having it refurbished, all voices pass tune on start up no issues sounds amazing not to mention the Enabler which is brand new, I waited for 5 years for my number to come up but selling a couple of big items to make my escape into the wilderness as easy as possible, things change. Physically it's in great shape for it's age not perfect but still lovely.

Pick up from LA is much preferred but can ship as they come in cases just wont be cheap, if you're serious it's an option we can discuss no problem."

Siel DK-80 with filter mod and knobbified with BCR-2000

YouTube Uploaded by taigkyo on Aug 17, 2011

"Simple goof-off demo of a knobby solution for the DK-80 using BCR2000 while playing back a MIDI file. There are no effects on the DK-80; this is recorded straight in one pass with a faint loop in the background from the CD (Fade to Grey) :-) The DK80 is an 80's splittable/stackable analog polysynth with patch memory and MIDI. It has a very unique sound due to two 4-pole (24dB/octave) SSM filters (like Emu Emulator II, early Prophet 5, Fairlight CMI II, Korg Poly-6/Monopoly, PPG Wave 2.2/2.3, Kawai K3/SC240, Simmons SDS5 etc), four LFO's, and two 6-point EG's (normal ADSR is 4-point. . . this adds a couple more points for more complex/evolving sounds). Perhaps the DK80 is deservedly underrated for being a PITA to program, but with knobs a whole new world opens up."

Rhodes Chroma CC+ Upgrade Turns Six

CC+ firmware release 215 offers Random Patch Generator, Support for Parameter feedback for ‘knob boxes’ and more.

via David Clarke on the Rhodes Chroma list. If you are interested in the Rhodes Chroma, be sure to check out the excellent http://rhodeschroma.com/

"Happy Birthday to the CC+.

The first CC+ orders were placed in June, 2006. Now five years later, these boards are still being produced and we’re still adding features suggested by CC+ users.

The newly released version of firmware (215) adds the following items:

* Support for transmission of Monophonic (Channel) Pressure via MIDI
* Program 0 SYSEX dump via [Set Split 20]
* Random Patch Generation with [Set Split 38]
* 'MIDI CC Data Request' SYSEX command

As well, operation has been updated such that a Program 0 SYSEX receive will automatically redefine the main and link instruments according to the new program.

Mono Pressure
-------------

[Set Split 36] + P16 (MIDI Pressure Mode) now gives users a choice as to whether they would like to transmit MIDI pressure as Polyphonic/Key pressure messages or Monophonic/Channel Pressure messages.

Setting P16 to "Pol" selects Polyphonic/Key pressure messages.
Setting P16 to "Chnl" selects Monophonic/Channel Pressure messages.

Program 0 SYSEX Dump/Receive
----------------------------

Pressing [Set Split 20] sends the current program over MIDI as a single program 0 SYSEX message.

Sending the 'program 0' SYSEX message back to the Chroma will make that patch the currently sounding one.

Together, these features can be used to allow a user to create a specific patch they like, send it to a sequencer for storage - and then to have the sequencer download just that the patch to the Chroma, so that you can always ensure that a sequence is playing exactly the patch of interest.

Random Patch Generator
----------------------

Pressing [Set Split 38] creates a random patch. A new random patch is created each time that key combination is pressed.

CC Parameter Dump Request
-------------------------

Sending the following SYSEX string to the Chroma will prompt the Chroma to dump all parameters of its current program via MIDI.

F0 08 00 4B 59 00 38 F7

This command is provided to allow parameter feedback for such editors as the BCR2000. Specifically - by programming this string into the 'Data Request' feature of the box, the current parameter state can be echoed back to the encoder rings.

Such a feature could also be used with other editors that support similar functionality.

Further information on these features is available on-line via the CC+ User's Manual (http://www.rhodeschroma.com/?id=cpuplusmanual) and in the CC+'s Firmware page (http://www.rhodeschroma.com/?id=cpuplusfirmware).

Please continue to raise new feature ideas here for discussion - and if there are items that users agree would be good to add, we'll certainly consider adding them.

Thank you for your continued interest.

(NOTE: CC+ units currently being built will ship with firmware version 215 pre-installed)."

How To Control Gotharman deMOON With BCR2000

"More info here:
http://mengqimusic.blogspot.com/2009/...

The deMOON synthesizer is a very unique digital polysynth made by Gotharman from denmark. I love its sound very much, the sound engine is also deep.

But as you can see, the 4 knobs are far from enough for a synth like this. IMO it's the biggest barrier between my mind and its sound engine. After I made this template, I am surprised at how much more possibilities I can get from the little box.

Sorry for bad english."

Daft Punk

Music Thing found this shot of the inside of Daft Punks pyramid. "It looks like: 4 x Moog Voyager racks, 2 x Behringer BCR2000 controllers, and possibly 2 x Lemur controllers in the middle (presumably there's also some computers involved). There don't seem to be any keyboards involved at all." There are some more links and info after the hop. Tom of Music Thing also put the following video together.

Cheetah MS6 Polyphonic Analog Synthesizer SN 16914

via this auction

Note auction links are affiliate links. See the site's privacy policy for more info.

"The Cheetah MS6 is six-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer in a 1u 19” rack. It was launched in 1988 by Welsh company Cheetah who blazed a brief but glorious trail through the world of music tech in the mid to late 80s before imploding in 1993. The MS6 is based around a fairly conventional two oscillator > low pass filter > dual ADSR envelope architecture implemented on six Curtis CEM3396 chips, one per voice, which were also used in the Oberheim Matrix 6, 6R and 1000.

The MS6 is often compared to the Matrix 1000 because of its similar form factor and circuitry. I can’t comment on how valid that is sonically because I’ve never used a Matrix 1000, but it should be noted that, unlike the Matrix 1000, sounds on the MS6 can be created and edited from the front panel without an external programmer. Although you may wish to add one, for reasons I’ll go into further down.

Roland MKS-70 + Vecoven OS 4.09 + PWM Upgrade

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

"Released in 1986, it was Roland's last analog synth and boy it is a monster with 12 voices and 24 oscillators! The MKS70 is the rack version of the JX10 and is essentially 2x JX8P engines in a box with a nice VFD display.

This is no vanilla MKS70, it comes loaded with the latest Vecoven OS version 4.09 which completely overhauls the synth to allow proper modern MIDI control along with A LOT of extra features. This unit also has the PWM upgrade which unlocks Roland's unimplemented PWM in the synth, further extending its power. I'm also including a Behringer BCR2000 with a template that is already mapped to the MKS70 which you will need to have knob per function control over all the new features added in the OS upgrade.

You can read about the upgrades here"
