1 Minute of Mononoke (preview)

Published on Dec 30, 2019 Bram Bos

"Mononoke is an expressive drone synthesizer designed for creating soundscapes and melodic textures that seamlessly morph from harmonic snowscapes to cold and agitated ice fields.

It has a 2-part multitimbral, 8-voice polyphonic synth engine. But the most interesting part is how all 8 voices feed back into each other, together creating a haunting, constantly evolving landscape.

Using 8 expressive performance pads you can play Mononoke interactively, and optionally record your performance as MPE MIDI in an MPE compatible host sequencer. MPE input controllers are also supported.

Coming soon.

The sound in this video is an unedited recording from the synthesizer."

Bram Bos are know for their iOS synth apps.

Arpticles (new Mozaic preset) - DIY for iOS Audio App

Published on Aug 2, 2019 Bram Bos

"In the upcoming Mozaic update I'll add the new Arpticles preset: a hybrid between an arpeggiator and a particle generator:

Arpticles will generate a (configurable) stream of particles based on the MIDI notes that are played/held.

Obviously you can use this preset as a starting point for making even more sophisticated scripts if you like!"

iTunes: Mozaic Plugin Engine - Bram Bos

DIY for iOS music app:

"Create your own MIDI plugins: MIDI filters, generative music tools, basic sequencers, MIDI control panels, chaos experiments... Let your imagination take you places.

Mozaic runs inside your favorite AU MIDI host, and gives you practical building blocks such as LFOs, pre-fab GUI layouts, musical scales, AUv3 support (with AU Parameters, transport events, tempo syncing, etc.), random generators and a super-simple yet powerful script language. Mozaic even offers quick access to your device’s Tilt Sensors for expressive interaction concepts!

The Mozaic Script language is designed from the ground up to be the easiest and most flexible MIDI language on iOS. A language by creatives, for creatives. You’ll only need to write a few lines of script to achieve impressive things - or to create that uber-specific thing that was missing from your MIDI setup.

Check out the Programming Manual on Ruismaker.com to learn about the script language and to get inspiration for awesome scripts of your own.

Mozaic comes with a sizable collection of tutorials and pre-made scripts which you can use out of the box, or which can be a starting point for your own plugin adventures.

Features in a nutshell:
- Easy to learn Mozaic Script language: easy to learn, easy to read
- Sample-accurate-everything: the tightest MIDI timing possible
- Built-in script editor with code-completion, syntax hints, etc.
- 5 immediately usable GUI layouts, with knobs, sliders, pads, etc.
- In-depth, helpful programming manual available on Ruismaker.com
- Easy access to LFOs, scales, MIDI I/O, AU parameters, timers
- AUv3; so you'll get multi-instance, state-saving, tempo sync and resource efficiency out of the box

Mozaic opens up the world of creative MIDI plugins to anyone willing to put in a few hours and a hot beverage or two.

Practical notes:
- Mozaic requires a plugin host with support for AUv3 MIDI plugins (AUM, ApeMatrix, Cubasis, Auria, Audiobus 3, etc.)
- The standalone mode of Mozaic lets you edit, test and export projects, but for MIDI connections you need to run it inside an AUv3 MIDI host
- MIDI is not sound; Mozaic on its own does not make noise... so bring your own synths, drum machines and other instruments!
- AUv3 MIDI requires iOS11 or higher"

Ruismaker NOIR │ Absolutely AWESOME Drum Synth App - haQ attaQ 305

Published on Nov 29, 2018 Jakob Haq

"Bram Bos Ruismaker Noir is simply Awesome! This powerful drum synthesizer app caught me of guard with it's great sound and intuitive sequencer. However it was the slope control that really got me hooked. Yes! Noir has a great envelope slope control that allows for some really intricate drum tweaking. In my opinion this is one of the best apps that Bram has made! This video isn't just a tutorial or a demo of Ruismaker Noir. Nope, this video is a tribute to one of the most inspiring apps I've used in 2018. Bring it!

Ruismaker Noir is a universal stand-alone app and Audio Unit Extension ( AUv3 ) plugin for both iPad and iPhone."

ambient_02 delay_repeat: rhodes, meeblip, nanoloop, count to five, H9

Published on Sep 23, 2018 Chris Randall

"Some Sunday afternoon vibes. The Rhodes is running through the Montreal Assembly Count To Five pedal, where I grab that initial chord that provides the bed of the song. From there, to an Eventide H9 Max for some reverse delay action, and then in to the iPad.

The Gameboy (running the nanoloop mono cartridge) goes in to the Field Kit, and the Field Kit's aux output is running to a Radio Shack Reverb, and back in to the Field Kit. From there, in to the iPad.

The synth sound is coming from an original MeeBlip, which is driven via MIDI from Bram Bos' Particle MIDI plugin (part of his Rosetta suite of MIDI plugs) running on AUM, which provides the mixing duties and also hosts Audio Damage Eos 2, Rough Rider 2, Dubstation 2, and Discord 4 plugins."

Bram Bothers Rozeta Scaler - Work in Progress Videos

Published on Jun 7, 2018 Bram Bos

Playlist:

1. Rozeta Scaler - Work in Progress
Automating the Input Transpose using Rozeta LFO. This will transpose the incoming MIDI up and down, but still keep all notes neatly in key.
2. Rozeta Scaler (scaling an incoming MIDI track) - Work in Progress
Plugin #10 in the Rozeta Sequencer Suite

This plugin will function as a Scale Quantizer / Transposer plugin. It can process any incoming MIDI and quantize it to a user-defined scale + root key. The MIDI stream can be transposed before and/or after being scaled.

Possible uses: making sure you're playing only notes in the right key of your music, transposing/quantizing a MIDI track from another app, experimenting your music sounds in another key etc.

Coming soon.
