The Completion

YouTube Published on May 2, 2012 by davidryle "A generative real-time recording of the modular synthesizer and Kontakt5. The synthesizers.com Q172 quantizer Aid module is sending midi pitch data back into my DAW (Steinberg's Cubase 6) and I'm routing it to Kontakt 5 with an instance of Sonic Couture's "Bowed Piano" sample sets. I also routed the midi through to the Yamaha TX816 with 8 modules playing a superb piano rendering. Days worth of patching on the modular for everything else. Some modules of note are the Ken Stone BiNTic filter/oscillator, J.Haible Tau "Pipe" phaser, Ian Fritz ChaQuO and 5 Pulser, two CGS01 sub oscillators and one CGS01 in Harmonic Sequencer mode. The HS mode is generating the pitch data for the formerly described piano patches and the high pitched sliding sounds in the background. The dotcom sequencers and STG sequencers are producing voltages for the BiNTic dark ambient industrial sounds in the background. A final white noise to the Q107 filter, Sputnik VCS, Cynthia QLPG, SSL digital delay and Oakley Deep Equinoxe phaser and STG signal amps round out the sound voices."

Rare Blue Utility LFO

via VICMOD where you will find one more shot [see update below].

snip via Elby Designs, The Panther Series CGS758 - Utility LFO where you will find the full description:
"This module is a dual utility LFO offering manually variable wave shapes. Standard waveshapes are falling ramp variable through triangle to rising ramp, and variable pulse width. A fixed square wave is also available, as is a combination waveshape that is variable between the TRI/SAW output and the SQUARE. This is a MIX not a morph. Two switches allow the variable outputs of the two LFOs to be intermixed.

The Utility LFO is based on the standard integrator/schmitt trigger oscillator core. Two pots in the integrator charge path allow for the adjustment of speed, and along with two diodes, for the adjustment of
charge versus discharge time. Changing this ratio will allow the TRI/SAW output to be adjusted from a falling ramp through triangle to a rising ramp. At the same time, the output of the schmitt trigger will reflect this in the length of its output pulse."

Update via reSEQUENCer in the comments:
"Hey Matrixsynth, that's my Christmas present in the VICMOD photo. The kit was under the tree, then in my rack a couple of days later. Plays well with the Steiner Filter, ChaQuo & Roland 100m. Cheers, reSEQUENCer"

Ian Fritz Bistromath and Livewire Audio Frequency Generator - Krautrock

Published on Sep 7, 2017 isvisible / isinvisible

"Audio:
Bass - PDO
Fuzzy tones etc - AFG (modulated by Bistromath)
Noise bursts - A-118
Bass drum - Orgone Accumulator
Snare drum - D-333

The Bistromath combines the Ian Fritz designed Threeler VCF, the ChaQuo and the Jerkster, and is an absolute beast.

Elby ChaQuO Eurorack Synth Module

via this auction
See the seller's other items for more.
"The main function of this module is a versatile chaotic signal generator (cg). chaotic signals are signals that have varying degrees of interesting irregularity without actually becoming random. this cg is an analog electronic simulation of the classical driven double potential-well problem, with the addition of extra gain in the circuit loop, and an extra cross-coupling path to extend the range of chaotic patterns available.

The double-well system is a "second-order" system and therefore requires an external driving signal. this is provided by the second part of the module, a sinusoidal quadrature oscillator (qo). the two parts of the module may be used together or separately. the cg may be driven by any output of the built-in qo or by any external oscillator. the qo may drive the cg or be used independently as a four phase oscillator for the usual spatial modulation and other applications. both parts of the module are manually controlled, to provide a compact, cost-effective unit. the qo has a frequency span of ~0.03 hz to ~3 khz in two overlapping ranges.

This module has a maximum current draw of 45ma. it requires 20 hp/te worth of space to fit in a eurorack frame."

Ben Tick

YouTube Published on Apr 28, 2012 by davidryle

"Ken Stone's superb Bi-N-Tic oscillator/filter from a kit build by the Bridechamber. Not just any old filter mind you. I used an SSL/Ian Fritz Double Dekka VCO and an Oakley vco with some sequencers and envelopes to play with this demo. The only filter is the BiNTic. Plenty of external excitations from the DDVCO "A channel" and some exponential FM from an EG modified "B channel" of the Double Dekka.
The Oakley vco is sending a triangle waveform through an Ian Fritz 5 Pulser which is modulated by an Ian Fritz ChaQuO chaos generator & quadrature oscillator. It then goes to the input of the BiNTic.
Octave switching on the Double Dekka is with an STG Soundlabs voltage mini store.
The sequencers (Q119 and Q960) are timed with the SSL Tap Tempo LFO. It's multiplier is modified with one channel of the Q960 for the staggered steps.
The Oakley vco has an LFO modulation (linear FM) from an Oakley VCADSR and MultiMix. The release timing of the envelope is voltage controlled by a row of the Q960."

Modular Synth - Patch in Progress 34

Published on Jul 11, 2016 isvisible / isinvisible

"My Ian Fritz panels (Serge) playing very nicely with my Eurorack set-up.

The AFG is clocking the Pithoprakta, which in turn is triggering everything else.
Elements - Bass
Rings - Processing audio from the Radio Music
AFG - low clicky audio processed by the ADDAC Fixed Filter Bank, which has each frequency being modulated by various Ian Fritz designed modules (Chaotica, ChaQuo and Jerkster)
Serge Modular (Ian Fritz - Chaos Theory and Timbre Tantrum panels) - Plinky plonky piano sounds, warbles and atmosphere.

Cheers"

This one make me think of what John Carpenter might sound like exploring modular. Very Carpenter-esque. Love it.
