"Module A-103 is a voltage controlled low pass filter with 18dB/octave slope. The circuit is based on a modified transistor ladder (Moog ladder) and is a reproduction of the legendary TB303 filter. As for the rest the A-103 is identical to the A-120 Moog low pass filter (same controls, inputs/outputs) only the filter sound is different."

Stoneroot Live @ Turku Synth Club Modular Meet 2016
Published on Jan 31, 2016 jarsamo
"Here's a piece I played/improvised with my mainly Doepfer-based modular synthesizer at Turku Synth Club Modular Meet in 30.1.2016.
I used the Roland Boutique JP-08 synth to add some extra spice. Roland's sequencer was only used for the JP-08. There isn't a proper sequencer running the modular - everything is based on a single square LFO wave as a "main" gate, which is run through clock divider/multiplier to get multiple different rythmical variations for controlling different elements. The "melody" line is actually a sample/hold random shit attenuated and run through a quantizer.
I also used Yamaha mixer's hall reverb to add some room. The performance was recorded with a Zoom H1 which also seems to have picked a beer can opening sound in the beginning quite nicely ;)
List of modules used is pretty much here: A-178, A-199, A-101-6, A-171-2, A-110-4, A-137-1, A-132-3, A-124, A-101-2, A-110-2, A-137-2, A-188-1, A-103, A-120, A-160-5, A-160-2, A-118, A-148, A-147-2, A143-3, A-140, A-138

Doepfer A-102 Diode Low Pass (VCF9) EMS Filter Module For Eurorack

"Module A-102 is a reproduction of the legendary low pass filter design that uses diodes in the filter stage as frequency controlling elements resulting in "strange" resonance behaviour and frequency response as resonance and frequency are not independent from another.
As for the rest the A-102 is identical to the A-120 Moog low pass filter resp. the A-103 (18dB TB303 Filter). I.e. the same controls, inputs and outputs. Only the filter sound is different:
manual control of filter frequency
3 CV inputs (CV1, CV2, CV3), 2 of them with attenuator (CV2, CV3)
input level control
resonance control up to self oscillation (depends upon the frequency setting for the A-102)"

simply "The Synthesizer".
The 4 bound volumes are:
"A Foundation For Electronic Music", 68 Pages
"Practical Synthesis For Electronic Music" Volume 1, 103 Pages
"Practical Synthesis for Electronic Music" Volume 2, 109 Pages
"Multichannel Recording For Electronic Music". 48 Pages
Here is a short description of each volumes:
* "A Foundation For Electronic Music" :
Containt a lot of theory about what make a sound(Timbre, Pitch, Resonnance, etc.), all related to the waves used on a synth
* "Practical Synthesis For Electronic Music" Volume 1, 103 Pages &
"Practical Synthesis for Electronic Music" Volume 2, 109 Pages
These books contain exhaustive patching examples using the Roland System 100m modules in the
illustrations. Perfect companion text for the owner of ANY modular synthesizer (Aries, Buchla, Doepfer, E-mu,
MOdCAN, Moog, MOTM, Nord, Roland, Serge, etc.). You still can adapt all the examples to any Analog Synth
once you get a basic understanding of how VCO, Filters, envelope etc, works.
* "Multichannel Recording For Electronic Music". 48 Pages
Basic examples of recording technics using multitracks recording devices and effects"
Don't forget the More section for more books, movies, synths in TV and film, CDs that feature only one or two synths, etc...

x0x-heart Demo - Eurorack Modular Experiment
Published on Feb 24, 2017 FatSynthDude
"Putting the x0x-heart through its paces with some ASSEEEED!!! The x0x-heart's signal chain is straight to the mixer with a bit of reverb from the FX-16. Sequenced by the Stillson Hammer mkII.
I haven't ever owned a real TB-303, but compared to other clones I've owned (FB-383, TBX-303, Rebirth) it's pretty good. I like the built-in overdrive circuit. It's like an all-in-one 303 acid machine.

Eurorack acid - TB 303 style modules
video upload by John Schussler
"If you listen to techno, you listen to the Roland TB-303. It's the sound of acid, and is such a unique sound that everybody wants and uses it.
Although several makers are selling clones in the original 303 design (with the sequencer and original layout), you may just want to get one in Eurorack without all the fuss of learning the 303 sequencer interface (it's not intuitive).
Here are a bunch of 303 modules that either include all the parts (VCF, VCA, envelope, accent, glide...the works) or just one part (the VCF, which is the most critical bit).
There are others as well, these are just the ones I happen to have...."
