Electronic Jams by lostsystems1

Published on Oct 2, 2017 lostsystems1

Spotted this one on discchord.

Playlist:
1. Channel Intro

2. "Diper lord" - Novation Peak, Elektron Digitakt, Rytm, A4, Op-1, Monologue, KaossPad, Mother 32
I've swapped the DSI Pro2 for the Novation Peak. Really loving the sound of it, but barely scratching the surface so far. Also added the push to the mix, to be able to play the peak. The idea is to jam the peak on the push, and then later let the digitakt control it, but i've yet to reconnect everything with the midi thru box i recently got. Maybe for the next one ! Just wanted to get this out the door, enjoy !

3. "Purse Whisperer" - Dsi Pro2, Elektron Digitakt, Rytm, A4, Op-1, Korg Monologue, KaossPad, Mother 32
Not really sure what is going on here, but i like it.

4. "Crude Mint" - Dsi Pro2, Elektron Digitakt, Rytm, A4, Op-1, Korg Monologue, KaossPad, Mother 32
I always feel like a straight kick is an easy way out, sometimes though it just works.

5. "Kids on Bikes" - Dsi Pro2, Elektron Digitakt, Rytm, A4, Op-1, Korg Monologue, KaossPad, Mother 32
Finally got around to making the Digitakt control both the monologue and the DSI Pro2, the monlogue also controls the mother-32. Enjoy !

6. "New friends" - Dsi Pro2, Elektron Digitakt, Rytm, A4, Op-1, Korg Monologue, KaossPad, Mother 32
Getting a bit of BOC vibe on this one :)

7. "Scrap Overhead" Dsi Pro2, Elektron Digitakt, Rytm, A4, Op-1, Korg Monologue, KaossPad, Mother 32

8. "Our peril" Dsi Pro2, Elektron Digitakt, Rytm, A4, Op-1, Korg Monologue, KaossPad, Mother 32
Trying out the DSI Pro2 and Kaosspad KP3+ in my setup.

9. "Empty Yesterdays" Elektron Digitakt, Rytm, A4, Op-1, Mother 32, KORG monologue
Trying out the DIGITAKT in my setup, clock is sent via USB from my main imac (Ableton) to analog4, which then controls the rytm through midi out. The rytm midi thru, goes to mother32. The op-1 gets the clock from my second mac via usb, which in its turn gets the clock via Abeton Link, and so does the ipad with the elastic drums ipad app. Digitakt also gets the clock from the USB of the macbook, and is controlling the monologue program changes and CC messages through midi out, as well as playing a few samples. Everything goes through the soundcraft spririt studio 24ch mixer, SPL Dynamaxx & Charsima. with TLA Ivory2 EQ on the master, and Line6 POD XT pro as an aux send for the mixer. Recorded with gopro session. (Yes i need to get a better camera and lighting conditions)

10. "Unpredictible nest", KORG monologue, Elektron Analog Rytm, Analog 4, Mother 32, Op-1
Trying out the KORG monologue in my setup, clock is sent via USB from my main imac (Ableton) to analog4, which then controls the rytm through midi out. The rytm midi thru, goes to mother32, the op-1and monologue get their clock from my second mac via usb, which in its turn gets the clock via Abeton Link, and so does the ipad with the elastic drums app. Everything goes through the soundcraft spririt studio 24ch mixer, SPL Dynamaxx & Charsima. with TLA Ivory2 EQ on the master, and Line6 POD XT pro as an aux send for the mixer. New Elektron Digitakt II: Unboxing and First Play with the Stereo Sampler and Drum Machine

video upload by Group Technologies Australasia

"Elektron's new Digitakt II is here! One of Elektron's most successful drum machine samplers has grown up with a plethora of new features beat makers are going to love. Most notably the Digitakt II is a 16 track, stereo sampler with 16 MIDI tracks, 128 step sequencer, 20GB of storage, 400MB RAM with access to 1024 samples per projects. In this video we unbox the new Digitakt II and have our first play with this sampling powerhouse. All the sounds on this video are purely from the Digitakt II, no additional processing or external sound sources were used.

The Digitakt has gained almost cult like following since its release in 2017. Beat makers across the spectrum of electronic dance music have loved how immediate the original Digitakt was at sampling and performing especially with that legendary parameter locking Elektron sequencer, all in a neat little package. The original Digitakt truly fulfilled its potential to the max.

Elektron have listened and designed the new Digitakt II in a familiar shape, with all the same recognizable playfulness, but now offering so much more than before. Original Digitakt users will salivate over the new Digitakt II features with more machines, more LFOs, more filters, more effects, more everything! The new features on the Digitakt II makes it more of a groovebox; a potent addition to your studio and for performing live with.

Here's what Elektron are saying:
Send yourself to another sampling dimension. With Digitakt II, you can weave splinters of sound in stereo, ripped from the moment and brought to your fingertips for marvelous audio manipulation and beat arraying. Preserve or distort reality as you so desire with 16 tracks ready for stereo or mono samples, or MIDI. Choose from several swappable filters for each track and utilize a wide assortment of effects and modulation, pull on enhanced processing power, and enough memory for a lifetime of samples. Further tasty features like a Euclidean sequence generator, an extended 128 step sequencer, kits, trig modes, an extensive sample library, and a modular workflow to play with ensure your sonic-montage sculpting potential will know no beat-making bounds."

Elektron Digitakt II: 3 New Features We're Loving - Comb Filter, Stretch Machine and Performance Kit

video upload by Group Technologies Australasia

"Elektron Digitakt II is here and its only been a hot minute since we received this powerful little groovebox sampler. Elektron have managed to pack a stack of great new features that we are making our way through and having too much fun with. In this video we go through 3 new features that have piqued our interest in the short time we've had it.

1. Comb Filter — Elektron have added more filters in the way of FLTR Machines, where one chooses the type of filter they want per track. There are 5 to choose from with the Comb filter sounding amazing and a first for an Elektron box. Comb filter can twist the timbre and transform any sound into something totally new, foreign, or alien like. Throw any sound through the Comb filter and you'll have fun seeing and hearing how far you can take it. Great for sound designers wanting metallic type sounds with rich resonant overtones.

FLTR Machines have 5 different filter types to choose from; Multi-Mode, where you can morph from Lowpass to Bandpass to Highpass filter. EQ, is a parametric equalizer for some precision filtering. Lowpass 4 is a 4-pole lowpass filter with a 24 dB slope for that extra bite. Legacy is the filter from the original Digitakt switchable between lowpass and highpass. The Comb filter has that metallic sound, pitch tuned and crazy resonant overtones as demonstrated in this video.

Similarly on other Elektron boxes, one chooses a 'machine' that relates to the type of synth engine you assign per track. Although here Elektron have adopted that method for different filters. This is a smart way to manage a number of new filters and parameters specific to those filters.

2. Stretch Machine — Elektron have added a new sample playback engine, Stretch machine that allows samples and loops to automatically stretch to the tempo of your pattern/project. It's a granular engine that works extremely well and a feature many Digitakt users have been craving!

3. Performance Kit Mode — here you can make changes to the parameters of a saved kit over several patterns and then smoothly recall the kit and continue jamming. Think of it as an 'undo' function for your sounds and kits. The Digitakt II can also save 1024 kits, so there plenty of flexibility to tweak your kits whilst performing and not be worried about losing the great kits you've created.

There's way more to explore on the new Digitakt II such as 3x LFOs, 128 steps per pattern, the assignable Control All Config, 4x Trig Modes, Euclidean Sequencer and much more. And did someone mention the audio fidelity, outstanding! We'll have more on the Digitakt II real soon.

Mini Systems 002: SSF ZPO, Rossum Linnaeus, and the Digitakt!

Patchwerks Seattle

"In this video resident expert Jesse Humes takes us on a shuffle trip with his Intellijel Palette case full of excellent modules and the Elektron Digitakt. Featuring the SSF Zero Point Oscillator, Rossum Linnaeus, and the Intellijel Multi-FX 1U.

Rossum LINNAEUS is a stereo state variable filter that provides the unique ability to linearly modulate its resonant frequency through zero into negative frequency, while maintaining stability. With extensive voltage control of nearly every parameter, Linnaeus lets you manipulate the filter’s natural response curve in new ways, to create both subtle and dramatic timbral effects. And with a “one-knob-per-parameter” interface, LINNAEUS inspires sonic creativity that invites (and rewards) real-time interaction.

Order a Rossum LINAEUS here: http://bit.ly/Rossum_Linnaeus

The Zero Point Oscillator is not your typical analog VCO or even your standard Thru-Zero FM VCO for that matter. The core of the ZPO was developed through countless hours of experimentation involving Through-Zero modulation techniques. Through-Zero FM is a form of frequency modulation that produces much deeper and useful FM tones than a typical VCO can accomplish. New techniques have been discovered that not only improve the performance of TZFM, but also grant additional benefits as will be explained.

Order a SSF Zero Point Oscillator here: http://bit.ly/SSF_ZPO

The Intellijel Multi-FX 1U provides three carefully crafted and highly musical sounding delay based FX in a compact 1U package. Powerful on its own but even more fun as part of a bigger effects chain.

Three FX modes:
DELAY – tap/clock syncable, controls for rate/division, tone (feedback low pass filtering), and feedback amount.
CHORUS – controls for modulation rate, tone (brightness) and modulation depth.
PLATE REVERB – controls for pre-delay, tone (brightness), and decay time.
Stereo Wet/Dry balance for all three FX modes.

Introducing Song Mode on Digitakt, Syntakt, Digitone & Digitone Keys

video uploads by Elektron

Update: user videos added below.

"Check your radar, Song Mode has splashed down on planets Digitakt, Syntakt, and Digitone. It’s been a… somewhat generously requested addition to the Digis, and we’re delighted to bring this powerful feature on to those machines. Song Mode lets you create, edit, and play compositions made up of dozens of your patterns. This makes it a hugely useful feature for all kinds of scenarios and for all kinds of artists.

Customize your backing track, leaving your hands free for other awesome gear. Extend beyond the limits of the 64-step sequencer. Create entire set-lists in a single song. And that’s only scratching the surface of Song Mode’s possibilities.

There are plenty of creative tricks to explore in Song Mode as well, ensuring that hitting play is only the beginning of its potential, plus a bunch more features and improvements such as Portamento and global FX/mix on the Syntakt and Keyboard Fold on the Digis. Song Mode for Digitakt Digitone Syntakt is here!

video upload by Dave Mech

"So they finally did it. They added song mode to the digitakt, digitone and syntakt! I think a lot of people will be very pleased with this. Really cool to see that Elektron keeps updating their line-up with really major updates that keep the instruments alive and relevant yet again for years to come.

In this video I show you how the song mode works and how you can also use it in a creative way. There was also a major update to the firmware of Syntakt adding a lot of great functionality like Portamento, global fx settings, midi mod matrixes and a few other very useful features. Beyond the scope of this video, and the video I did record to showcase those functions was unfortunately ruined. So maybe next time :)

Anyway, enjoy!

Sequential Pro 3 Explorations

video uploads by David Falcon

Playlist:

1. Generator v1 // Generative Ambient // Sequential Pro 3
"Some say that it is a modular system within itself and well, it is amazing all the modulation options with the Mod matrix. I started with a generative patch and progressively added modulators to the modulators, on an Eurorack kind of way to (hopefully) make a more interesting pattern. The sequencer is on paraphonic mode with 3 independent lines on random mode, over G minor and D minor chords."
2. Opening // Sequential Pro 3, Elektron Digitakt, Guitar
This track to me sounds like the opening of a horror show or a thriller. Nearly a year since the last of these videos. Many proyects and a kid after I can sit and play again, make little pieces with no objective in particular.
3. Android Dreams // Digitakt, Pro3, Push, Minilogue xd
Pro 3 is mostly holding a chord with its sequencer moving the filter cutoff around as well as other parameters. On the Digitakt I have loaded a bass line and sparse notes from Pro 3, as well as the usual stuff. Small improvisation on a Minilogue xd off camera, and towards the end I activate the Arp Latch to continue playing. The push is controlling the Arturia Pigments on a preset that reminds me pretty much to the Binding of Isaac's soundtrack.
4. Dark Drones for darker times // Sequential Pro 3
We will never learn from the mistakes of the past, there is always a minority who will jeopardize everything we fight for every day...
5. Ambient Glitches // Digitakt + Sequential PRO 3
Love making these glitch beats to build pieces on top. The Sequential Pro 3 is so good for these genre! Also, shining lights.
6. NEW SYNTH DAY // Sequential Pro 3 + Digitakt + Pigments
"I finally took the plunge and got one of my dream synths, the Sequential Pro 3. A mono/paraphonic beast that makes every other synth I've owned look like a toy. The only complaint is that I didn't go for it much sooner.
Of course one of the first things that I had to do was to put it to work in conjunction with the Elektron Digitakt. Of course they get along great.
There are several sounds like the pluck and the sub bass that come from Arturia Pigments, the first improvised with the Digitakt chromatic keyboard, and the second sequenced. There is also a choir sound from Ableton Live sequenced from Digitakt.
The beat in Digitakt has a "hidden layer" with conditional triggers assigned to the fill button, which triggers a sub kick, as well as several extra percussive sounds.
The first of many videos with this keyboard.
Enjoy."

Chase Bliss CXM1978 for SYNTH // 0-9 Presets with Sequential PRO3 + Elektron DIGITONE & DIGITAKT

video upload by Dexba

"In this video, I wanted to show you the Chase Bliss and Meris lovechild, the CXM1978, a pedal that pays homage to the legendary Lexicon 224.
There are many videos here on YouTube discussing the price, the usefulness, or even how it compares to the real one or the UAD plugins, but I haven't found any video about how this thing sounds in many different situations, settings, (electronic) instruments.
So here we go, I did one myself, with what I think is a bit of a representative sound palette you could find in your music productions, but more will come in the future since I think this one's a keeper.

Chapters:
0:00 - Quick intro
2:04 - [Sequential PRO3] Pluck
3:49 - [Sequential PRO3] 'Prophet like' Pad
11:51 - [Elektron Digitone] 'Vangelis like' Pad
15:32 - [Elektron Digitone] FM Pluck
20:21 - [Elektron Digitakt] Drums
22:03 - [Elektron Digitakt] Vocal sample
23:53 - [Elektron Digitakt] Ambient house (?) Jam"

CXM1978 for SYNTH // 0-9 Presets with Sequential PRO3 + Elektron DIGITONE & DIGITAKT

video upload by Dexba

'Hello everyone! Feels like this is my first video, like, the first PROPER video, mostly because I am showing myself on camera and also because I want to get step by step closer to more complex or even "useful" videos :)
In this video, I wanted to show you the Chase Bliss and Meris lovechild, the CXM1978, a pedal that pays homage to the legendary Lexicon 224.

Thank you a lot for all your support, never thought I would get to 1.000 subs, and that's also a great encouragement to keep doing stuff and get better at it!

Dataline presenting the Elektron Digitakt at SUPERBOOTH17

Dataline presenting the Elektron Digitakt at SUPERBOOTH17 from HerrSchneider on Vimeo.

"The Gesprächskonzert by Elektron features the Digitakt and Analog Heat. The more affordable and most hands on Elektron sound source - the Digitakt - was announced at Superbooth in 2017. Here you can see Dataline playing with it on the first day of the release of this versatile sampler and sound design machine. Sound design (and destruction) can also be achieved with the second product in this video - the Analog Heat. Here you can here both machines in action.

Elektron will also be at SUPERBOOTH18, where you can also see their latest product - the Digitone! You can find the Elektron Booth in the new West Wing at SUPERBOOTH18 -> Booth W110

Elektron will do another Gesprächskonzert at SUPERBOOTH18 -> Thursday 3rd of May, 5pm"
