Nord Lead A1, KORG SQ-1, Zoom MS-70CDR (BURG - Red planet)
Published on Oct 10, 2015 ollilaboratories
"Well.. here is the thing, this purchase was not really planned. I stumbled upon a Nord Lead A1 in a music store yesterday, played about 40 mins with it (my wife was SO bored).. i just loved the feel and sound of synth.. went home and slept on it and got it today. I have been really hunting for a poly for sometime, and the A1 not being on my shortlist really amazed me as it sounds so damn good. Strange, everyone should have one.. its awsome.
Whatever, this is red beauty is now part of my setup. on this track heavily drowned in the MS-70CDR FX, i started it up, connected the SQ1 .. driving two sounds, one pad and one arp/set sound. Im just playing the first simple sawtooth-pad part, 24db filter, and sequencing another with the SQ-1 w TB style filter and giving it a go.
No planning, a couple of beers... and just going with the flow. I have no idea, but the melody seems familiar, who gives damn right, its about the music :)
And yeah, sorry about the blinking blue lights.. i totally forgot to shut that one off. I blame the beer...
gear used: Nord Lead A1, Zoom MS-70CDR, KORG SQ-1 - straight into 2-track on my Zoom Q4, no multi-tracking and/or computers involved.
BoOoM! :D"

Published on May 16, 2017 RemixSample
"I'm just trying out the particle reverb on the Zoom MS-70CDR http://amzn.to/2rbAPAe on the Mother 32. Maybe not the most exciting thing to listen to unless you are interested in this guitar / synth effect pedal. No post processing of the audio was done, this is all the MS-70CDR."

Exploring Black Holes 19122016 No.05 [2x SpaceHole] // Korg Monotribe & Zoom MS-70CDR
Published on Jan 30, 2017 Computing.Sound
🛰🕳🔊
Exploring the MS-70's SpaceHole algorithm.
This time two in series.
The manual states that it's based on the Eventide SPACE BlackHole algorithm, which according to Eventide's website originated their 4000 series Ultra-Harmonizers rack-mount units.
There's also a plugin from Eventide called Blackhole.
But here I stick to the Zoom pedal. Although the plugin might also get me in the future...
Korg monotribe ➡ Zoom MS-70CDR [2x SpaceHole] ➡ audio interface
I love the combination of the two units.
Both small.
Both relatively affordable.
And as much the monotribe's (insert basic synthesizer or sound source of your choice) limitations can frustate for some uses, in this case they make it quite fantastic and a lot of fun, at least for me.

Aquifex - Microfreak Only Jam (all parts) + Zoom MS-70CDR FX
"As part of a new series of one synth/all parts demos, this one is all MicroFreak.
The last one [posted here] was almost all one synth - a Fizmo plus a single layer of sampled choir, but this one is all MicroFreak… even the drums/perc.
I added some basic Zoom FX to certain patches for needed ambiance.
All recorded, assembled, and performed in LoopyHD on an iPad Pro (DAWless) - mixed live to a stereo recorder."

Teisco Teischord G -JAM- + monologue + Volca Beats + Zoom MS 70CDR
Published on May 8, 2017 Arrayzable
"Teisco Teischord model G through Zoom MS-70CDR
Korg monologue for bass
Volca Beats for drums :)
I've had this Teisco stage-organ in my possesion for a while now and wanted to do a little jamming.
I'm sorry about the camera angle - You can hardly see me playing the high notes on the keybed.
It's very easy to play and the keys feel great! Not to mention that it also looks so awesome!
The Teischord G is japanese company Teisco's top-model of the early to middle 1960's.

Modulated sine wave 30082016 // Doepfer A108, A-118 & Zoom MS-70CDR
Published on Aug 31, 2016 Computing.Sound
So good. Would make for a great soundtrack.
"Basic three module modular synthesizer patch plus effects.
- Doepfer A-108 VCF8 (self-resonating filter)used as a sine wave generator
- Doepfer A-118 Noise + Random Voltage used for modulating the A-108's frequency
- Doepfer A-135-1 QVCA/VCMIX just used for basic attenuation
- Zoom MS-70CDR provides the effects
On the pedal I chose the PitchDelay and SpaceHole algorithms.
Thanks for watching!"

Volca Keys Ambient Jam with Specular Reverb V2
Published on Dec 1, 2017 Slenterende Beer
"I just got my GFI System Specular Reverb V2 and this was the first sounds that came out when I hooked it up to my Volca Keys. I loved the sound so much that I just uploaded it here.
I used the Zoom MS-70CDR just to add the delay, which you can clearly hear at the start. The Volca Keys' delay is so noisy, which can be cool, but doesn't sound great when combined with a high-quality reverb like this.
Please use headphones to listen to this clip - the stereo reverb is great.

One Morning with a Moog Mother-32
Published on Feb 17, 2018 Anodyne Institute
"Here is a comfy session of sound design with the Moog Mother-32 from my bed in the Geodesic Dorm. Recording commenced at 6:38am and ceased at 7:57am. The footage is presented chronologically. We try to 'show our work' whenever possible in this compilation, so you can see how one patch or sequence mutates into the next strange set of sounds. A Zoom MS-70CDR multi-effect pedal provides analog-style delay and lo-fi reverb.

The Anodyne Institute is a fictional place. We would like to make all of the sounds."
Pseudo-generative Sunrise with the Moog Mother-32
Published on Jan 31, 2018
Here is a pleasant little nothing, captured during #jamuary2018. This is the Moog Mother-32 semi-modular synthesizer and a Zoom MS-70CDR effects pedal providing delay.
The things that make it nice: A wandering sequence recorded into the Mother via keyboard. The stepped random voltage from the Assign output controls Tempo, so that each step in the sequence is a random length. These two combined feel like a hand-cranked music box.
Envelope and Keyboard voltages are blended together in the Voltage Controlled Mixer and then sent to the filter. This provides a blend between soft and hard, bright shapes.
Pulse waveform with slow pulse-width modulation suggests a future that did not happen.
The delay has a high feedback amount, creating a bed of prairie grass for the sounds to rest upon."

Audio recorded from an old Mackie ProFX12 mixer onto a Zoom H4N. Video recorded on an iPhone 11 Pro."
