"testing a Max/MSP patch/standalone interfacing with TouchOSC on an iPad and Andromeda A6.

Its inspired by the Suzuki Omnichord, but i can add my own scales over the positions."

EMW-200 SN 1001

via Atomic Shadow

"The unit is 16 inches wide, 8 1/2 inches tall, 6 1/2 inches deep. Two ring mods, three oscillators, two burst generators, sample and hold, noise, delay, LFO, HPF, LPF, and a 6 channel mixer. All analog except the delay unit which was modeled to sound like an analog delay. The original had a spring reverb where the delay unit is located. The electro Comp 200 also had a microphone amp that has been replaced on the EMW model with a useful LFO. MSRP is slated to be in the $1,299.00 range"

Arturia Minibrute Improvs

[ Arturia Minibrute ] First Improv jam with TR-909 + Frostwave Fat Controller #1

"Attack of "DJ FINGERS" ! WOOoooOO *laughs* OK... If you can't watch this with a sense of humor then just stop the video now. This is a work of fiction, it never happened in real life so no hating on how bad it is. Just messing around within the first 30minutes of me opening up the new Arturia Minibrute. Gotta say it's lots of fun. Looking forward to exploring it a LOT more. Expect some better videos soon. There are some fun parts though in here. Youtube tells me there's sync issues, sorry for that. Not going to fix, just going to upload more videos. This is also my first jam with the fat controller. Still learning it's ins and outs.

I'll tell you that off the bat it has arpeggiator issues. Be warned."

"Continuing to mess around. Sorry for the over compression. My video setup is a little messed up right now. Just got the Minibrute today, Just shooting some quick videos of it. Here's to onboard compression on the camera and not being able to turn it off!! *explodes*"

Modular Tracks 1

YouTube Published on Jul 6, 2012 by pjoris2

"The first real "track" here. I wanted to do something summery like Roedelius or so. Not sure if it is the Belgium weather but it didn't end up that summery.

No full explanation of the patches this time, but some info:
- main sequence is from the oberkorn: 2 16 note sequences, each played twice, using a clock divider and sequential switch
- these sequences are played by the Livewire AFG through the AMSyths JP6 filter
- then through my Korg PME4: 3 analoge delays+flanger
- baseline is from the 3rd channel of the oberkorn, played by a doepfer VCO through the AS multimode filter
- the "strings" are the could generator controlled by an SQ8 sequencer through the AMSynths JP8 filter (clocked at 1 step for each 16 steps on the oberkorn), through a Boss DD20 delay
- everything is transposed by a second SQ8
- all notes are quantized using 2 doepfer quantizers
This is recorded in one run. Then I added two tracks whit some random noises from a noise source through an AS "EMS" filter, an AS echo module and the korg PME40X pedal board.

Hollow Sun ADVANCED NOISE GENERATOR

via Hollow Sun

"Sometimes, you just can't have enough noise. For special effects, sound design, atmos, drum and percussion sounds, sweeps, etc., noise is such an invaluable tool.

Sadly, these days, noise is something of an afterthought on many synths with just one paltry selection and with today's software based synths generating it digitally, it's just not the same as true analogue noise, it's pseudo-random noise based on mathematical algorithms.

True analogue noise is created using a zener diode which is biased into breakdown to produce truly random noise. Another method is to use a transistor wired so that its emitter-base junction is reverse biased which does much the same as a zener diode.

It seems daft but analogue noise does have an appreciably 'weightier' quality to it than virtual analogue noise, even though they may 'look' essentially the same on a 'scope or in a wave editor.

The Advanced Noise Generator provides all this and more..."

Analog Craftsman ARP & EDP Filters

"Just got a couple of new filters from my friend Tony at Analog Craftsman on the left, Arp2600 clone with vintage parts even. I modded it to make the sliders glow orange. On the right, Dual Wasp filter that is normalized together! They sound so good demos to come soon!"
