Moffenzeef Stargazer & MSG II Drone Synthesizers

"Moffenzeef has two standalone drone synthesizers, the full featured and gritty Stargazer which has a dual wavetable oscillator, sample rate reducer, dual resonant filters, three LFOs and distortion. We also used the smaller MSG II with Dwarfcraft Devices Hax 2 ring modulator pedal.

The Stargazer has 90 different waveforms letting you get a ton of different textures from the oscillators, it also has an expression pedal input to control the speed of the LFOs, in this video we used some Moffenzeef modules in a 4MS Pod case to control the LFOs.

The MSG II is smaller than the Stargazer, but has 8 different synthesis modes, so it can also produce many different sounds."

The samples mentioned are from Brutal Kicks and Brutal Snare sample packs available on itijik.com. For lofi and hip hop I recommend the Snares for sure. Lots of layered Snares/Rim/Claps to choose from. Thin, thick, snappy, sloppy flams...some really great stuff in there
