Korg NTS-1, Monologue, Squirrel Jam
Published on Mar 15, 2020 Waveformer
"This is the first jam on my brand new Korg NTS-1 synthesizer, sequenced by the Korg Monologue, which also does bass.
My music on Bandcamp: http://waveformer42.bandcamp.com/
The patch for the Monologue is included below.
The NTS-1 is a fun little box, with a decent synth engine and a solid effects section. It goes very well with the Korg Monologue. In this jam, I use the Variable Phase Modulation oscillator, the arpeggiator and the ping-pong delay and plate reverb effect. The arpeggiator is set to play octaves, type random, and I play around with the range parameter during the jam.
The Monologue patch is named "SquirlBassWF", and can be downloaded from the files section of the Korg Monologue facebook group.
The audio is recorded on a Korg KP2S and normalized in Audacity. Video is recorded on iPhoneX. Audio and video is synchronized in DaVinci Resolve 15.
Gear:
- Korg NTS-1
- Korg Monologue
- Korg Mini Kaoss Pad 2S (for recording)
Connections:
- Monologue - NTS-1 - KP2S
- Midi from Monologue to NTS-1
Misc:
- NTS-1 effects: Delay: Ping-Pong with delay time approximately 3 16th notes, Reverb: Plate
- Tempo: 120 BPM
- Key: Em"

Hanging out in Mr. Tuna's Studio
Published on Mar 14, 2020 Machiwoomiapoo
Three videos in the playlist. The first has left channel audio only. The 2nd and 3rd are both L & R.
"I went to Mr. Tuna's studio today to check out his layout. It was really nice to get to know him and his set up and how he uses it. I am simply amazed at all the gear that he was able to hook up and use at the same time. I always enjoy his live jam sessions."
