Cherry Audio Introduces the PS-20 - Hot-Rodded Tribute to Korg's Renowned MS-20

"The PS-20 is an ultra-realistic, polyphonic, hot-rodded tribute to Korg's renowned MS-20. The dual highpass/lowpass filters super accurately recreate the MS-20's famous raunchy sound in all of its squelchy, screaming glory. We’ve reconfigured the patch panel from the original instrument, adding many desired in and out patch points for all oscillators, filters, and VCAs, correcting the confusing terminology of the original, and throwing in a few extras that greatly expand its usability!

Every part of the instrument has been "souped up" with killer features, including 16-note polyphony, a unique three-layer, eight-step sequencer with flexible CV outs, and integrated effects, including a beastly distortion, modulation echo with stereo spread, and a lush digital reverb with fantastic spring and plate emulations.

The PS-20 truly is one of the most quirky and unique instruments we’ve released. Between its sometimes unpredictable filter behavior, and the tremendous flexibility of its patch panel and sequencer, the possibilities are endless, and the creative "happy accident" quotient of PS-20 is simply off the charts!"

"In this video I'm giving a try to the new plugin by Unfiltered Audio/Plugin Alliance: SILO. I'm passing Arturia Microfreak through this beautiful effect. That really interesting how a sequence or arpeggio transform into an entirely different thing. I've mapped some parameters to Ableton Push 2 to make changes in real time. I'd call SILO a true ambient machine thanks to its granular engine and reverb. It sounds fantastic, audio quality is great, and the features will satisfy many sound designers. Great work, SILO!

"Introducing 'NOISE': A custom white noise user oscillator for the KORG Nu:Tekt NTS-1 Digital Synth Kit!

NOISE is a basic white noise generator based on the sine_test code in KORG's logue-sdk. Parameter A has no effect on the sound, while parameter B adds soft clipping to the white noise core signal, slightly boosting the level, reducing the dynamic range, and adding some extra overall presence.

Note that shape or pitch modulation will have no audible effect on NOISE, and same sound will be produced regardless of keyboard pitch information.

Use NOISE along with the NTS-1's filters, envelopes, and effects to create a variety of timbres including percussion, sweeps, and much more!

Or use NOISE to turn your NTS-1 into a white noise generator to use with external synths such as the KORG Volca Modular!
