Marble Jam //Marbles/Subharmonicon/Mother 32/STO/Rings/Tides/Magneto/Maestro/Voltage Block//

video upload by Aleatoric Machine

"I’ve wanted to try this for a while. The two channels from Mutable Instruments Marbles are playing the two channels of Moog Subharmonicon, with a sound that reminds me of a Fender Rhodes, through Strymon Magneto. A couple different clocked LFOs from Acid Rain Maestro cause the pitches from Marbles to keep gravitating back to the tonic, with some jamming in between. Mutable Instruments Rings repeats a single note in a Euclidean rhythm coming from ALM Pamela’s New Workout, but modulating the structure causes the ringing to drift up and down from a fifth to an octave. Moog Mother 32 and Make Noise STO double on the bass line. When the melody finally comes it, it is Mutable Instruments Tides through Chase Bliss Warped Vinyl, Mood, and Dark World. Malekko Voltage Block handles the mix scenes, with Mutable Instruments Stages providing slew in between."

Stylophone Gen X-1 Stylus Hack: How to sequence the Stylophone Gen X-1 using the Korg SQ-1

video upload by Stylophone

"How to sequence the Stylophone Gen X-1 using the Korg SQ-1

1) Connect the Stylophone Gen X-1 stylus pen to a lead going to one of the CV outputs on the Korg SQ-1.

2) Make sure they are earthed together through an input or output.

In this video some Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator rhythm is added to the mix. Here the PO is connected at the aux input, which is all processed by the filter and delay on the Stylophone Gen X-1"

Making a Prophet Type Synth Pad Sound with Analog in Ableton Live (Sound Design Tutorial)

video upload by Jannis Le Wolff

"In this Ableton Live Sound Design tutorial I'm going to show you you can create a large, open and rich synth pad sound that is inspired by the sound of the legendary Prophet 5 synthesizer by using the synth "Analog".

Of course it is not possible to copy the sound of such a great piece of hardware, but I think it's a great exercise to try getting as close as possible with your own gear, since it really makes you learn the synth and its functionality. From there, you can easily make your own unique sound out of it.

You can also apply the changes to other synthesizers, but the sound can always differ due to the difference in filter and oscillator sound.

Roland JX-08 Boutique Sonic LAB Review

video upload by sonicstate

"The latest Roland Boutique is inspired by the 1985 JX-8P - we say inspired because:
a) It has controls (the original didn't) based on the optional PG800 programmer
b) It has up to 20 voices of polyphony and a two part multi-timbral engine"

PLAYING A NEW AMBIENT PATCH [ UDO SUPER 6 ]

video upload by leonardoworx

"The UDO Super 6 is definitely one of my favourite synths for creating patches ambient (and melancholic) oriented. So i'm making a lot of ambient patches with it!

Here a live jam only with the Super 6 (and his beautiful delay).
Hope you enjoy!"

Sound Explorers Mexico | Shaping The Sound Of Mexico

video upload by Arturia

"Sometimes inspiration can be found in unexpected places. One such example is the curious convergence of nature and architecture in the designs of Javier Senosiain. We asked 2 artists to share their inspirations in 2 of his most famous locations: La Casa Orgánica, and El Parque Quetzalcoatl."
