Dancin9 💃 (Perfourmer + H9 + Julianna // Streichfett // TR6S + KP3+ + Analog Heat // Keystep Pro)

video upload by 2-Minute Warning

"All the sequences/patterns/drums were recorded live in one shot. The main sequencer is the Arturia Keystep Pro (its 4 tracks were used to sequence the Vermona Perfourmer and Waldorf Streichfett).

As for the drums, they were recorded on the Roland TR-6S, where I used some of the latest cool features added on the latest update (v1.50), as the new reverb (HA-DOU) and delay (PITCH SHIFTER) and on its master effect, the new gripping VINYL SIMULATOR (I love the compressor in it which really adds some nice punch 👊🤩).
I mainly used the Analog Circuit Behavior sounds for the drums.

* Hardware used *
- Vermona Perfourmer MKII :
* Voice 1 + Julianna : Drone
* Voice 2 : Bass
* Voice 3+4 + Eventide H9 (Delay) : Pluck

- Waldorf Streichfett + Pill Pedal (triggered by the drums) : Strings + Pluck

- Roland TR-6S + Korg Kaoss Pad KP3+ + Elektron Analog Drive : Drums + Riser"

Make Noise XPO - All 11 Outputs At Once

video upload by MATTHS

"I set myself a task! Use only the @makenoisemusic #XPO and the Make Noise XPO for a track. The XPO has 11 simultaneous outputs with stereo Timbre Modulations (including Pulse Width Modulation and Wavefolding), Oscillator SYNC, Linear FM and more in the analog domain!

Tonight I will be patching from scratch to create a track using only this module as my #Oscillator!"

Oberheim OB-X8 vs OB-Xa - all original factory presets

video upload by synthlegends

"In this video I played all factory presets of the OB-Xa, which are in the OB-X8 as well. I don't know, if they were accurately reprogrammed or just took as wav file into the cassette interface of the OB-X8. Most were really spot on. Here an there they are not, so it is mandatory to tweak a bit, like modulation rate, filter and envelopes. Some sounds were not equal in volume, I had to adjust.
I recorded all in Mono using the Mono out of the OB-Xa and Stereo out pair (but with mono setting) from the OB-X8. The mono out has in my unit some hum. I will check it out with the distributor or I don't know what happened here. It's not much, but it's there. My unit is only borrowed for a review I have to do for a german music magazine. I am really impressed by the OB-X8 and it's a great substitute for the very rare and expensive vintage units. The sound is around 90 to 95 percent perfect. Some minimal variances you can hear in the original, maybe due to perfect circuit of the smd-chips instead of old through hole technology with lots of calibration pots (the OB-Xa hat around 150 of them!).
Also here no FX or processing used."

Zenith Vol 3 - Patches 96 to 128 - Novation PEAK/Summit.

video upload by GEOSynths

"Out Now - https://www.geosynths.com/novation-peak

That's it, Zenith Vol 3 for the Novation PEAK and Summit is now available. All 128 Patches have been demonstrated over 4 Videos. The PEAK and Summit are incredible Synths and are capable of so much variety...Love it!

It's been a while since I sat down with the Novation PEAK and decided to make Zenith Vol 3, which also works for the Novation Summit. Again, another 128 Patches, however with Vol 2 I concentrated on using the additional Wavetables for the Patches, so had a more "Digital" edge, however with Vol 3, I've just made Patches that I want to hear, play and put into Music.

There's Analog Pads, Poly's, lots of Motion Pads and Stringers. Plenty of Bass & Lead and some beautiful Digital Soundscapes. All 128 Patches have Animate Buttons assigned, often to multiple parameters, as well as Aftertouch and Mod Wheel.

They are compatible with the latest Firmware from Novation (V2.1)

Not Exactly Crochet: Needlepoint + Buchla Easel Synthesizer. Generative Sounds.

video upload by nbor

"I have been playing with the Unfiltered Audio Needlepoint plugin on a free trial, which emulates the effects of distressed vinyl LPs. You can use this as an audio source, or use to process incoming audio to make it sound like it's on a messed up record.
In this clip, I'm using one instance of Needlepoint to generate pops and clicks, which I use as an envelop for the incoming audio from a Buchla Music Easel. The other instance is processing the incoming audio from the Easel. Some semi-random modulations on the loop for the envelope follower ("Broken" parameter) and the Spindown for the other give this a generative, never-ending feeling.
I fucking love this.

Electronic Musical Projects Sood BPB 1998

This one is in via Loscha. Click the right and left arrows on the bottom right of the player to flip through.

You can download a scan of the publication via the links on right here.

"Today we have a scan from my paper book archives.; Electronic Musical Projects by P K Sood, published by the Business Promotion Bureau of India - a company still producing educational material for IT.

These books were reasonably common in Australian Electronics Parts stores in the early 2000s. They were cheap, and there were several in the series.

Today I present Electronic Musical Projects, but I also have Practical Timer Projects, 555 Timer and its Applications and 41 Projects Using 741 I.C.

These books, particularly the musical one, has an almost Zine feeling to them. They're crooked, the schematics are lovingly hand drawn.

I have never built any of these musical instrument projects,

A previous scan of this books exists, but, it is unusable"

Knobcon 22: STG Soundlabs muSonics and MooSonics and 902 VCA

video upload by sonicstate

"STG Soundlabs make 5U modular amongst other things, they are also behind the Knobcon event itself.
We spoke to Moot Booxle about the the muSonics modules - starting with a VCA based on the Moog 902, and also the MooSonics - which is a budget more DIY range with PCB panels available as DIY kits first, then prebuilt later."
