Some tweak time with the Yamaha CS30

video upload by Hanz Volt

"If you love to spend time understanding exactly how your synthesizer reacts to all parameter combinations so you can synthesize exactly what sound you want… then this synth will keep you exploring for a very long time. 2 VCO, 2 VCF, 3 ENV, 8 step sequencer. Inverted envelopes.. serious cross modulation, an LFO… the filters can be assigned to an envelope and that envelope modulated by the sequencer! LP BP HP stereo filters😮 and more🤯"

1010music Nanobox Lemondrop Synth and Linnstrument

video upload by riotbell

"This is a short video exploring the Nanobox Lemondrop granular synthesizer for the first time with the Linnstrument.

It's been several years since I last purchased a digital synth, and the Lemondrop is incredibly impressive. Amazingly tiny with a wonderfully intuitive interface. Hope to have a lot of fun with this in the future.

Oto Bam supplying reverb though the onboard effects are surprisingly good.

Thanks for listening."

New Toy - Yamaha PSS-380

video upload by ollilaboratories

"If you like my music you can find it here and also please consider supporting me at patreon for as little as 1 USD

Hey everyone, sorry for the very long silence... life has happened and I have had to prioritize family and other projects for some time. Here is a little video for you all to show some signs of life from the BURG HQ.

I bought this cheap little Yamaha Porta sound synth to have in the den, writing songs and capturing ideas... this is one of the first ideas/melodies that came out (prly something i have done before), and i thought, why not just play the melody with the PSS-380 and make a video? It actually sounds pretty good, albeit a bit noisy... but still pretty enjoyable. Since it runs on batteries i can play everywhere in the house so whenever i have an idea i can just turn it on and work on the melodies. Also, it is actually pretty powerful, the FM section has some direct controls to adjust SPECTRUM/MODULATION, which give access to what sounds like the operator order and modulation of the same, pretty cool stuff.

What you hear is the PSS-380 through the ms70 CDR zoom FX pedal ( carbon delay, particle reverb ) and the EHX 720 stereo looper for the bass melody. All is recorded live onto my Zoom H5 recorder.

Take care everyone, and thanks for sticking around ! you rock!"

Waldorf M vs Microwave 1 PPG 2.3 Presets

video upload by synthlegends

"In my last video [posted here] I compared some PPG 2.3 factory sounds reprogrammed from Wolfram Franke for the Waldorf Microwave 1. In this video I demonstrate those Microwave 1 PPG 2.3 presets in comparison to the Waldorf M. The Team from Waldorf reprogrammed all those sounds from the PPG 2.3 card, which was originally made by Wolfram Franke. I think they did a great job. Some sounds I skipped, because they did not match at all. I think it is not due to the synth, it is just a programming matter, like different modulation, envelopes and wavetable envelope. So finally here are the results of the sounds in comparison. No musical video at all, but just to demonstrate, how close can the Waldorf M sound to the Microwave 1. I this video I used the version B, with a bit of a different filter type to version A. The M uses SSM filter clones, like in the PPG. I tweaked a bit around and I recognized, that the resonance from the M Filter thins a bit out but screams more like on the Microwave. It has much more in common to the PPG Filter. So the M shall come closer to the PPG than the Microwave 1. I think that the M is a bit more comfortably sounding, the Microwave sounds a bit more aggressive and "vintage" also. But the differences are very subtle and I think that Waldorf did a great job with the M to recreate the classic Microwave. Thanks for watching and listening as allways."

"Accretion Disk is a collection of 56 custom patches for the UDO Super 6 with a particular emphasis on musical sound design and crafted for a wide variety of playing styles. Most of the patches utilize a combination of the bender wheel, aftertouch and expression pedal for dynamic shaping of the sound, so be sure to experiment with these controls to get the most out of them. All patches have been tested for firmware v0.52 and utilize some of the new features. Enjoy!"

"Zeitalter - Age - my latest track of 2022.
It was originally intended as another Prophet-10 sound demo. The patch was so cool i had to evolve it into a full track. So all synthsound are done with the Prophet-10 , drums with the Machinedrum and Tr-8.
All graphics created in Midjourney and edited into a video that goes well with the music."

Welcome to the Norns 🎛 | Monome Eurorack Jam

video upload by Andrea Marzilli

"Finally, I own the most inspiring machine I ever met since the past three years. Monome did an awesome work with the Norns, can't wait to explore it in depth!
Let's dive into this first soundscape
Here you can hear "Fall", an incredibly sounding script from @Ambalek _: pink noises and triangle waves meet the magical flavor of @Noise Engineering Desmodus Versio, creating the main atmosphere of the jam.
@mutableinstruments Plaits is going into Beads, both modulated by Monsoon Looping Dealy for some juicy little distant grooves on the stereo field.
I just love this combo.

Wear your headphones, please. 🎧"
