Playing with the Realistic Concertmate Moog MG-1

video upload by Ben Cameron

"Never did a lady have so many names. I had to let go of my first MG-1 years ago when she died on me. I've regretted it ever since. the MG-1 was my first synth, and is a quirky, very useful machine. I just got this new one, and this video is of me sitting on the floor having a good time. I'm not at the studio, so pardon the handheld phone audio. Enjoy her clicky key bed. #moog #analogsynthesizer #synth #synthesizer #vintagesynths"

Behringer WASP Deluxe - "Cinematica" Soundset (40 Patches)

video upload by LFOstore

"Dear Behringer Lovers! It's time to get the most out of your synth and get ready for the massive cinematic sounds!

These 40 handcrafted patches are created by two talented sound designers, Nick and Otto, with great pleasure and attentive professional approach. Each patch is prepared with several modulation options and external effects description.

Despite the fact that the theme of the sound bank is cinematography, these sounds are suitable for all modern genres of electronic music: ambient, electronica, downtempo, house, retrowave, drum’n’bass, techno, trance, etc. We put our effort & inspiration to make these patches suited for many genres & styles of music.

Back in history of original WASP: Electronic Dream Plant (EDP) was a small British synthesizer manufacturer, active during the late 1970s and early 1980s. At the time their products were not particularly successful commercially. In later years products like "WASP" became prized by collectors for their unique sound, and later synthesizer companies have successfully copied some of their design elements.

SPECIFICATIONS
This pack contains:
+ The booklet in .pdf format with high quality pictures of every single patch created by professional sound designers. The book is fully illustrated, fixing the positions of the knobs and describing the modulation techniques;
+ Examples of each patch in .mp3 format both dry and wet (with reverb and effects) versions;
+ Free Valhalla Supermassive VST installation pack for Win & Mac + our custom reverb presets, to get a maximum result out of these synthesizer patches.
+ Detailed instruction of how chain all mentioned together for a great sound!

In the booklet you will find the illustrations of 40 patches: 5 Basses, 6 Drones, 9 Leads, 5 Plucks, 9 Sequences, 6 Strings."

"Unit was inspected and serviced. The following was done:

1. The latest firmware flashed (v14)

2. Scratchy master volume pot was repaired.

Note: the unit has a few small scratches on several backs and some small blemishing on the bottom case, what is apparently a result of moving the item in the storage / in the box.

Comes in the original box. Sounds amazing, no issues with tuning."

brain zaps synthesizer

video upload by errorinstruments paul tas

via Error Instruments

Brain zaps

can be a strange sensation,

like a sudden jolt of electricity in the brain.

For those who experience this, it can feel like a glitch in their system.

Fortunately,

there is a rehab process that can help remind

them to take their medication and keep them grounded

in reality.

An experimental, micro, sound synthesizer

can be used to make combinations on different

spots and create different sounds through capacitive touch.

A demonstration of this process can be seen to better understand the concept. https://psychonautwiki.org/wiki/Brain_zaps

Brain zaps are sensory disturbances that feel like electrical shock sensations in the brain. A person may also notice a brief buzzing sound and feel faint or black out momentarily. Brain zaps can happen when a person decreases or stops using certain medications, particularly antidepressants.

Digitakt Machines // OS 1.50 Upgrade

video upload by Elektron

"Machines. The Digitakt way.

As found in Octatrack, Model:Cycles or Syntakt, the concept of Machines has now also reached Digitakt.

There are now several new ways to play back your sweet samples. This new OS 1.50 Upgrade brings four different Machines, all with their own different flavor. Repitch for automatic classic beat-matching, Werp for a little quirky old-school way of time warping, and Slice - to chop up your audio and placing the pieces back in any order you like. And finally Oneshot, your default Machine for playing your sample forward, backward or looped. Again, again, and again.

To top things up we also added a new way to record your samples. You can now set a fixed number of steps for your recording. And, Sample Rate Reduction that can be inserted before or after the filter. Just as gritty as you like it to be.

Go find out more and download this new tasty OS 1.50 Upgrade here: https://bit.ly/3IFttuq"

Digitakt OS 1.50 Upgrade Overview

"As found in Octatrack, Model:Cycles or Syntakt, the concept of Machines has now also reached Digitakt. In this tutorial, we explore the four Machines - Oneshot, Werp, Repitch, and Slice - that come with the OS 1.50 Upgrade.

We also cover some creative tools that allow you to push Digitakt’s sequencer and samples further. For example, using Trigless Trigs to parameter lock values without re-triggering samples, using random locks in Slice to get new rhythmic ideas, or using Werp to really pull apart samples and turn them into completely new elements."

NEW MACHINES! Digitakt Ginormous update OS 1.50

video upload by Dave Mech

"Another massive update for Digitakt. This time we get 3 new machine types, sample rate reduction, recording length setting and a couple of small yet useful improvements! In this video I go over the major new functions in detail. Enjoy!

PS: After I created this video a small change was made to the OS. On the sampling page the recording length setting is now situated on the right and the AUTO setting shown in this video is renamed to MAX."

ST Modular - INFLUENCER (Multiple Random CV Generator)

14HP Multiple Random CV Generator

RA INFLUENCER provides a general source of useful CV tools and musical unpredictability. The module is divided into five sections, each of which performs a unique function.

The TOP SECTION is the VC INTERNAL CLOCK and TRIANGLE LFO. The rate of the clock and LFO can be controlled by the RATE knob or CV. The clock signal is normalised to the trigger input of the FALL section. The TRIANGLE wave at the WAVE socket is also routed to the WAVE/RNDM SWITCH of the FALL section. When the switch is in the upper position and the attenuator is turned to the left, the
wave will affect the FALL length. In the lower position, the FALL CV is slowly randomised.

The SECOND SECTION is a FALL ENVELOPE GENERATOR. It can be triggered internally or externally and its fall time can be controlled by the FALL TIME knob or by CV. An inverted version of the fall output is also available.

The THIRD SECTION is the SAMPLE & HOLD section. In one mode, it can sample and store a voltage from the FALL CV socket and output it at the SP OUT socket when the gate at GATE is high (Sample & Hold). In another mode, it can pass through the incoming voltage when GATE is high. It then samples and stores the last voltage applied when GATE is low (Sample & Track). The modes are selected by the MODE switch. The STEPPED potentiometer controls the level of the incoming CV signal. Internally the CLOCK is normalised to the GATE input. The CV input can be fed b an external signal, an internal SMOOTH RANDOM CV or b internal NOISE. Please note that this section may produce noise bursts in Sample & Track mode.

The FOURTH SECTION is an AND / OR COMPARATOR that compares two mixable inputs and outputs the MAXIMUM CV and MINIMUM CV of both. It also generates a GATE at B-GATE if IN B is greater than IN A. Note that MIN LED barley flashes with low CV levels. The LAST SECTION is a DUAL SMOOTH RANDOM CV GENERATOR. It provides a constantly changing CV at SMOOTH I and SMOOTH II, slowly meandering in about 60 second cycles. The SMOOTH CV input will affect the SMOOTH outputs in unpredictable ways, sometimes not at all. Internallv there is another SMOOTH RANDOM GENERATOR which is normalised to the RNDM switch position of the FALL section, the CLOCK CV and the SOURCE switch of the SAMPLE & HOLD section. Like the others, this SMOOTH GENERATOR may or mav not be influenced bv the INFLUENCE input.

NOISE OUT allows access to the internal NOISE GENERATOR You could also use the module as an OSCILLATOR

INFLUENCER is vour CV powerhouse that offers a wide range of MODULATION SOURCES and an extended source of uncertaintv.
