PVP Wall Meets Serge VCFQ

video upload by SetonixSynth

"Had lots of fun making this generative patch. 5 SetonixSynth/Tidbit Audio Psychedelic Voltage Processors are chained together and controlling one of my favorite modules, the Serge VCFQ. Much of the variation comes from the precise feedback control provided by the SetonixSynth Laka, which is also mixing in a self-oscillating Marsupial filter and also controlling the VCFQ cutoff via its Sequential output.

Osmose Pressure Response - Unbelievable Sensitivity and Control

video upload by EaganMatrix Programming

"Here's a short little EaganMatrix test experiment that drives home the point that we all should be tweaking the Osmose Sensitivity parameters to best suit our playing style(s) which may change depending on the type of music we are playing. In particular, I show how you can modify Pressure and Aftertouch Sensitivity to allow you to impose a vibrato with (at least to me) reasonable and comfortable pressure without triggering Aftertouch effects that you may not want to incorporate with your vibrato. The range of sensitivity control over pressure on the Osmose is truly amazing (and bend too but did not go into that here)."

Behold the power of the DB-01 triangle

video upload by Richard DeHove

"Saw is everyone's friend, square is famous, so where does that leave triangle? The quiet one of three three, but beautifully formed and hides many talents. This is sort of a jam video, a tribute to the triangle but also a way to demonstrate a few different techniques to use when playing live.

First, the triangle is the only primary waveform used here to generate all the sounds. That varies from the cute little plinky sounds of a pure high triangle to the almost brassy sound when the sub-oscillator is layered in. The pattern consists of just three notes spanning three octaves so it's incredibly basic. But the contrast between the low hits and high plinky-plonks going through the Nemesis delay rhythmic setting creates the illusion of a much richer - even layered - pattern with drums. But of course it's all just one layer on the monophonic DB-01.

I'm playing the DB-01 arpeggiator over the top of the pattern and this causes the pattern notes to sometimes be "overwritten" and drop out which appears like a pattern variation. Then by varying the length of the arpeggiator gate you can get apparent note length differences between the pattern and the arp. The LFO synced to a 6-beat loop on a saw shape adds to the variations.

As usual there are no other effects used or DAW processing. But I did do some chopping up of the piece to trim it back from its magnificent 18-minute original :)

Images are all original creations on the theme of triangles using the Stable Diffusion AI platform.

"Moffenzeef Stargazer, a monster of a self contained synth that… well if you’re reading this you get it. Scare the hell out of your neighbors or destroy the sound system at a local club,. This thing is not for the faint of heart, a sci-fi soundtrack in a box! This is from the limited run of 75 In red a few years ago but as you can see in extremely good condition with all original packing and swag."

Yamaha DD-14 w/ 25 Point Patch Bay Mod

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

"Rare 1993 MIDI drum machine with a custom 25 point patch bay. This modification generates an array of original sounds, effects and rhythmic variations. Making a single connection on the patch matrix can dramatically alter the output but applying multiple connections produces an increasingly complex, sometimes aleatoric range of fractured, reversed, tonal, bit crushed, flanged, distorted, aliasing and delayed effects, 16-bit arcade sounds and digital noise, alternative rhythmic patterns and additional accents. The five included patch cables can also be stacked for further sonic manipulation.

The patch bay affects the 100 tempo adjustable onboard rhythms and tracks in addition to the pads and scraper which produce some great degraded digital effects and percussion hits.

Features:
8 velocity sensitive drum pads.
A 'scraper' ribbon controller for the performance of preset instruments, scratching and rolls.
100 preset rhythms with instrumental accompaniment options.
75 PCM percussion and effects sounds.
30 percussion sets.
Selectable roll, flam and echo effects.
Auto bass/ chord function.
Three user song memory.
608 mm x 281 mm x 105 mm."

Two channel CV Gate Attenuator for 3.3V/5V logic with an arrow indicator or voltmeter

video upload by DeftAudio

"An overview of the CV/Gate attenuator with various options. Available here: https://www.tindie.com/products/defta..."

"Deftaudio Two Channel CV Gate Attenuator for Eurorack
Two channel gain and max voltage passive attenuator with three options available:

Basic version, two channel with 3.3V, 5V limits, precise adjustment and LED control
Indicator version, two channel with 3.3V, 5V limits, precise adjustment with a vintage arrow indicator per channel
Voltmeter version, two channel with 3.3V, 5V limits, precise adjustment with a single digital LED voltmeter
Description:

This is simple and efficient board to adjust voltage level when interfacing between Eurorack gear and to the outside world. It's specifically important for Gate levels, which exceed typical voltage level of 3.3V or 5V and go all the way up to 12V. While modular gear typically designed to handle those voltages, other instruments such as sync or arp inputs on vintage synths may not have a protection at all.

This board designed in mind with three modes of operation which are not available in other products:

3.3V logic limit. This mode is protected by a Zener diode and meant for interfacing to 3.3 logic gear, such as microcontrollers, Arduino, Teensy, etc.
5V logic limit. This mode similarly has a Zener diode circuit for 5V logic of the majority synthesizers sync, arpeggiator and other various trigger inputs.
Attenuation. In this mode multi-turn potentiometer sets the attenuation ratio. While two other modes set the max voltage limit, in this mode the output voltage is linearly scaled down to the attenuation ratio set.
Purchasing options:

PCB only: Only PCB board is included, other parts, such as connectors, diodes, resistors and LEDs are sourced by a buyer.
DIY Kit: Comes with all parts including arrow indicators or digital voltmeter per selected option. Soldering is required.
Assembled board: this option is NOT planned at the moment."

Hollasynth Scanner - Low-Gain Electronics experiments

video upload by LowGainElectronics

"Just playing around confirming functionality of this Hollasynth Scanner pcb behind the Low-Gain Electronics panel. :)"

Details on the Hollasynth

"The Hollasynth four-channel scanning VCA is a version of Jurgen Haible’s Interpolating Scanner idea, in 4U Serge-compatible format, complete with a beautiful front panel by Loudest Warning

It is a four-channel voltage controlled crossfader. As the scan CV is swept from 0V to 5V, the mix output fades from channel 1, through a mix of channel 1 and 2, to channel 2, then fades to channel 3 and finally channel 4. In addition to the main mix output, there is an individual output for each channel. Front panel knobs provide an offset and attenuversion on the scan CV.

The gain of each channel is also individually controllable, so the module can be used as a four channel VCA as well. A switch allows the scanning control to be disabled so that only the VCA CV affects channel gain. Finally there are attenuator for the gain CV and initial gain knobs on the front panel.

What can I do with it?
Probably more than I can! But try some of these:

Crossfade between the wave shapes of a VCO for voltage-controlled morphing, e.g. from sine to saw to triangle to square and back. Like this.
Crossfade between up to four audio sources under voltage control. Like this.
Voltage controlled CV mixing. The inputs and outputs are DC coupled so you can use the module to mix and morph between CV sources
Voltage controlled signal switching. By appying stepped CV to the scan input, e.g. from a sequencer, you can switch between signals rather than fading… if you get the CV set up just right! Like this
Audio Waveshaping. Patch fixed voltages or LFOs or whatever you like into the signal inputs. Send an audio rate 0-5V sawtooth into the scan CV. Use the mix output as am audio signal. Like this. Or like this. (Thanks, Loudest Warning!)
How does it work?
The scanner contains four linear VCAs, one per channel, based on the LM13700 IC. Each VCA is controlled by the sum of two CVs: the direct VCA CV and the scanning CV. The scan CV is provided by a version Don Tillman’s beautiful scanner implementation, used with his kind permission. (But please don’t bug him if you have issues with the module!)"
