Dr. Endo explores LIVEN Ambient Ø - #4

Chris Lody (@ChrisLodyMusic) , a sound wizard I genuinely trust, created an amazing sound of the Indian instrument, Tanpura. It was so beautiful that I had to jam with it today. I thought the tanpura sound would also fit perfectly with the world of LIVEN Ambient Ø.

In the second half, I got creative by grouping every 4 steps and making the sequences trigger randomly.

サウンド魔術師のChris Lody (@ChrisLodyMusic) がインドの楽器タンプーラのサウンドを作ってくれて、それがとても素敵で、ChrisのタンプーラサウンドとLIVEN Ambient Øの世界観が良い感じにマリアージュするんじゃないかとジャムってみました。

後半では、4ステップ毎にグルーピングして、そのグループのシーケンスがランダムに発動するよう工夫しています。

3D t-rex drawn on an analogue oscilloscope 🦖

Curious if what we are hearing is the drawing or modulating the drawing per the video description:

"A 3D animated t-rex drawn on an analogue oscilloscope from 1982, with its redraw frequency modulated by MIDI from ‪@Ableton‬ Live. The amplitude of the audio left & right signals move the X/Y position of the beam which cycles through the vertices of the 3D mesh hundreds/thousands of times a second."

Update via Hexial: "The audio is creating the entire drawing you're seeing, moving the beam across the screen very quickly. The audio frequency is the number of times it's redrawing it per second."

"I'm using 2 synths (Serum) routed into the X and Y axis of the beam, changing pitch/effects with sine waves and saw waves.

Beware, if you listen to it on headphones it might make your brain go weird because it's panned hard left & right 🫠👌"

"After a little over a week, I finally completely repaired this DW-8000 I bought. I replaced all of the tact switches, replaced the battery, and replaced 5 keys that were either broken or chipped. It now has new life.

Eventide blackhole VST used for reverb.
