"5 x COTK modules 1 x COTK to Synthesizers.com busboard (rare and hard to find)

A solid foundation for a Moog-style modular setup—just add a filter and an envelope generator.

Club Of The Knobs COTK C901ABC Oscillator MU/.com Dotcom / 5U /Moog 901 Clone

This is a Moog 901 clone from COTK The Moog 901 came out in the late 1960's .. possibly 1965 to 68 ?? It's what is called a first generation VCO. You can use this as a VCO & VCLFO (voltage controlled LFO) It's a classic, and arguably this oscillator has influenced all VCO designs..... not just of Moog, but of synth manufacturers from around the world.

901a is the controller 901b is the oscillator 901c is the output module basically moog 901s (and clones) have a lower amplitude sound that you can amplify/ slightly distort (usually with a CP3 transistor style mixer) before running them into a moog filter but with 901c output module you also get outputs in modern modular format audio level. (and you can use them as the worlds most expensive LFO i suppose)

Condition: Used, some rack rash (previous owner), small scratch on the 901A module—see photos for details.

Club of the Knobs COTK C902 VCA This is a Moog 902 VCA clone from Club of the Knobs. Its on MU/5u/Dotcom format. It does what it is supposed to do. This module is a simple transistor based voltage controlled amplifier with either linear or exponential response. But simple doesn't mean boring sounding. This is one the workhorse VCAs of SynthLand. If you are looking at this you probably know how nice it sounds. Condition: Fully functional, but the (LIN/EXP) switch has a soft feel. Given its age (10+ years), this is reflected in the price.

COTK C938 Reversible Mixer The C 938 is a reversible mixer with attenuated inputs and a master gain multiple output. It can combine both AC and DC voltages. very useful attenucerter & mixer modular utility module Module in pristine condition Power & Compatibility:

All modules have COTK power connectors. You can power them if you:
- Have a COTK busboard (included in this sale) to connect to an MU/Dotcom case
- Use a COTK system
- Have a Moon Modular case that supports COTK power connections - all COTK cables to connect to busboard are included and a dotcom cable to connecto to you dotcom case.

A solid foundation for a Moog-style modular setup—(just add a filter and an envelope generator or two)"

Buchla & Tiptop Audio Introduce the Quad Sample & Hold and Polyphonic Adapter Model 264t

TipTop Buchla 264t – What is a quantizer anyway? video upload by Dexba

"We finally have a quantizer in Buchla form, but that poses some questions: what even is a quantizer?
Why is not called that? And how did they handle polyphony in modular 50 years ago?"

"Today we are going to check out the new module from the Tiptop & Buchla 200t serie: the Quad Sample & Hold & Polyphonic Adapter Model 264t!

So we will talk about ART a lot, and even play around with TWO 259t to create four voice polyphonic patches."

Message from the Mothership to all 200t users on Planet Earth!

We are thrilled to bring you the Quad Sample & Hold and Polyphonic Adapter Model 264t. The module is now shipping, and pre-orders are open at our dealers. Price: $265. [check with dealers on the right for availability]

Don Buchla designed the original 264 in 1970, but only a few were ever mad,e. This module features high-speed sample & hold circuits that can also switch to track & hold, delivering the exceptional performance you’d expect from a Don Buchla design. To push the boundaries further, Don added a groundbreaking feature: the Polyphonic Adapter. This was a bold vision at a time when polyphony was virtually unheard of, synth pioneer Tom Oberheim wouldn’t introduce the world’s first polyphonic synthesizer, the SEM, until 1975. With the 264t, we’ve taken Don’s polyphonic concept one step closer to full realization. We’ve added ART outputs that can drive multiple oscillators equipped with ART, such as the 259t Complex waveform generator. Plus, we’ve incorporated built-in scales, adding a complete ART quantizer working seamlessly alongside Don’s original analog circuits.

muSonics Continuo - Chord Mode Demo

video upload by suitandtieguy

"I decided to record a short demo of chord mode on the Continuo development hardware. Controller is a Roland A-49 and the synthesiser is a Waldorf Iridium Core with one of my presets.

This is still in development but it's working well enough I can totally make music with it. I've never used an arpeggiator as fun as this and we don't even have external time control (stage advance from gate input and such) working yet.

If you wish to participate in the public beta program, check it out at musonics.com. If you've already bought in, I will be finishing your modules the first week of April."

Moog Voyager Signature Edition No. 416 / 600 Rarely available these days, one of the initial batches of 600 Voyagers, as autographed by Bob Moog. Includes all original documentation and the sturdy box, as well as the Moog-branded Voyager softcase, which I have never opened, let alone used as the synth has always been used at home. Also included is an after-market black Moog cloth cover (there’s even a Voyager-sized polythene bag that Moog sent me in 2005.) The Certificate Of Authenticity is of course included, declaring that Bob personally inspected this particular Voyager. Software version 3.5, 02/02/2010 but otherwise unmodified from the original issue (128 presets as opposed to 896)"

"What is it? MiniDexed is a high-performance FM synthesizer that replicates the sound of eight DX7 instances, delivering the iconic tones of the TX816 and TX802. Designed to run 'bare metal' on the Raspberry Pi, MiniDexed operates without the need for a Linux kernel or operating system, ensuring efficient and seamless performance. It is assembled into a custom made case, 3D printed. It’s ready for immediate use and compatible with any MIDI keyboard or sequencer featuring MIDI out. By default, its eight modules are assigned to MIDI channels 1-8, but these settings—and more—can be easily customized using the intuitive menu. Used just 3 hours: I had bought it just to compare it to my vintage TX816. I loaded the same sounds in either synth (yes, it loads by MIDI the DX / TX sounds!) and compared A/B. Simply UNBELIEVABLE. For a deep dive into MiniDexed's software and features, please visit this page."

I'd recommend looking at the online specs to get a full run down of this but it has two multimode filters, 3x gorgeous sounding VCOs with 1 and 2 having sub VCOs, A unique 16 step sequencer, two LFOs, a sample and hold module, and the list goes on."

Missing | Fender Rhodes Electric Piano and Kawai SX-240 improvisation

video upload by MIDERA

"The other night - I learned about the Yamaha CP-70. Now I want one. They sound so good. I can't usually play acoustic piano on my main floor because my kids are around and I'll be distracted. I can't play at night because they're sleeping - so I kind of wanted an acoustic piano in my studio... Of course, from what I hear, the CP-70 is very big. It seems like it's about the same size as my rhodes, but deeper. I would probably have to part with my Rhodes to get the CP-70. I'm not sure what to do....

On another note, yesterday I started to realize that I'm embarrassing my daughter. I was dancing with my younger daughter, and my older daughter wanted nothing to do with it or me. It was a realization that those fun days making her laugh, dancing with her, playing with her, are coming to an end. It made me really sad.

MotorSynth MK2 | By Gamechanger Audio

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"When the first Motor Synth was introduced back in 2019, the synth community unanimously agreed to disagree. For some the MOTOR Synth appeared to be a completely ridiculous, overengineered and limited instrument - at one point the phrase “pure embodiment of evil hipster trash” was used, while others called it one of the most innovative and exciting instrument designs the industry had seen in years. The truth lies somewhere in the middle and I feel it's MUCH better and cooler than people think it is.

However, spending 3K on it doesn't make it yours. It's packed with so many features you'll need to find your own gemstones buried in the trash. After spending four days with this unit (on loan, not mine) I realized theirs true magic when it's limitations are starting to work against it. It excels when it fails. Please note, this unit makes a LOT of noise even when it's not connected to any amp or audio interface. Still, the mechanical noise is an essential part of the final experience and you should always record it, even when you decide not to use it later. Most of my recordings in this video has the camera audio, attenuated at -10 dB. It's really loud, but it's not a motor synth without it.

The synth is simply too expensive to make this a review, and I don't do reviews anyway. I try to focus on production value. If you're a pro composer for films and games, this thing is a highly recommended no brainer. The same applies for evil hipsters. If not, try to borrow one from an evil hipster and sample the hell out of it.

Big thanks to Gamechanger Audio for letting me borrow it. This video is sponsored by me, no money changed hands and I can't keep it.
