Former MODE MACHINES CEO Michael Thorpe Joins Behringer

Former MODE MACHINES CEO Michael Thorpe joins Behringer to lead its German synthesizer team

Michael Thorpe — former CEO of MODE MACHINES — has joined Behringer to lead its German synthesizer, lighting, and accessory divisions in his newly-appointed role as Customer Solutions Leader (CSL).

Michael has been in the audio industry since 1996 and successfully ran his own company, MODE MACHINES, which designed and manufactured products for the music industry. During more than 20 years Michael gained tremendous experience in product design, manufacturing, and also marketing, which he will now bring to Behringer.

Michael commented: “I am so excited to join the Behringer team and be part of the synthesizer revolution. For decades my passion has been with synthesizers, as well as the music industry in general, and in February 2018 I had the chance to personally meet Uli Behringer. ADX-1 -Mode Machines and Fusebox - Analogue Solutions together

"Hi everyone.
This time I have a video with ADX-1 from Mode Machines and Fusebox from Analogue Solutions .
For Beat, ADX-1 is an ADX-1 Mode Machines that was sequenced by Akai MPC 1000 by Midi.
Fusebox is synth sound with raised transposition using a built-in '' interval generator '' which allows you to set 6 different pitch levels for fun in sequence.
It has a strong analog sound of -3 oscillators but here they play only two.
in other films there will be more modulation.
some fun with -Hi hat from ADX mainly by getting a longer release and some fun filter in Fusebox and later slightly elevated atack in EG1.(envelope generator)
Both synths give a lot of fun, analogue modeling of drums and synthesizer is pure fun on ADX-1 and Fusebox.😁"

"Hi everyone.

ADX-1 is an analog drum machine from Mode Machines.

in this movie I showed a little real-time audio process when creating a patern connected by midi from Akai MPC1000.
ADX offers a rich sound game so I decided to show some possible sounds on this paterns.

of course, it depends on us how we will modify the sound as much as we want to get the crazy sounds of drums. in the same kick in ADX or Synth sound we have modulations, tune, deph FM, Bend, attack relase and distortion, in Hi-hat or metal sound while modulation goes to cutoff or resonace with envelope mod 1 to 2 and mix 1 with 2 cross sounds.
it gives you many possibilities to hear different sounds of drums."

Acid Techno Session - Moog DFAM, Elektron Digitakt, Mode Machines ADX1...

"For this acid jam i recorded a sequence from my X0XB0X onto the Digitakt. Actually i wanted to use the X0XB0X in the setup but unfortunately it lacks a bit when midi synced.

The Moog DFAM provides the 2nd synth line and gets synced by the Korg Volca Sample.

The drums are coming from the ADX1 which is an analog drum machine. It's similar to the Vermona DRM1 but definitely has a character of its own.
It gets sequenced by the Digitakt.
Each channel of the ADX1 is connected to the Soundcraft EPM12 mixer.

On the AUX sends of the mixer i used the TC Electronic Flashback Triple Delay and the Lexicon LXP-1

The Analog Heat from Elektron is subtly crunching up the master with a little help from the Radioman GSSL compressor.

The Akai Midimix is used to control selected parameters of the Digitakt."
