As with many "firsts" there's a few things I'd change but hopefully you like our first eurorack module overview video. This one has been "in the making" for ages, moving between files, and computers exports etc. New ones should be more streamlined.

"In this video you'll find useful information about how the frequency bands of the Baxandall EQ behave and what the channel offsets of this Eurorack module do.

Distresañ has three main frequency knobs (in the center of the module) which alter both audio channels evenly. For more complex use cases Distresañ offers an offset knob per band per channel (left and right of the module).

The two fuzzes share the same controls. The Fuzzes and EQ are slightly differents (great for strereo). You can output the Stereo signal by plugin a stereo cable or you can output a mono signal : Fuzz1 - clock wise or Fuzz2 - counterclock wise, or a mix of the 2 fuzzes by turning the morphing pot.

"TouellSkouarn are a French Modular manufacturer based in Brittany and name their products in the Bretan language. The Blokañ is a tube based ring mod with an analog VCO capable of some pretty extreme audio FX. With a modulation inputs for the VCO pitch as well as a dedicated output for the VCO. This was a prototype so no news on availability or price just yet, but stay tuned."

Beyond the obvious nostalgia hit of the Gameboy cartridges I’ve long been a fan of swappable FX platforms that allow a module to be used in a wider range of patches. FX BOY comes with 7 ‘founders pack’ cartridges with the Making Sound Machines Analog Wavefolder, FEEDBACK modules Flanger, XOR Electronics Delay & Granular FX, Instruo microPhaser, Befaco TRASH distortion, TouellSkouarn Noise & Feedback Fuzz and Tesseract Modular AVMA downsampled & ring modulator. It’s a wide range of FX all with two CV controlled parameters, plus CV over dry wet for parallel blends and modulation.

In this video I chose to give each cartridge it’s own patch, letting them shine on different patches with different use cases, as that’s how I’ll end up using the module going forward. However each cartridge easily warrants it’s own demo video going through a range of patches as these circuits have proven to be great on a range of sources. So I’m already thinking about future videos … leave a comment about what you’d like to see more of.

FX BOY is an open source platform for people to develop their own cartridge circuit FX, so who knows where this will go, whether Befaco release more cards, companies sell them on their own or whether it spawns some interest DIY ideas along the way."

Modor Formant Filter

"Sound design experiment separating and processing a sound divided into hi/mid/low bands. Will make a good base to build around with heavy drums. I have Noise Engineering - Basimilus Iteritas Alter sequenced and modulated by Malekko - Voltage Block and Xaoc - Batumi.

A copy of BIM is running into Future Sound Systems - Spectral Devastator FIL3 highpassed with resonance and overdrive to create the highs.

Another copy running into TouellSkouarn - Sonveskañ adding distortion, then into Modor Music - Formant Filter filling out the mids. This turned out to be a pretty interesting combination. Sonveskañ is removing most of the high frequency content. 2 minutes in I use feedback on Sonveskañto create some accents. Formant Filter is stereo with different modulation to the left and right channels creating a nice dynamic stereo effect.

Then a third copy of BIM EQed down to just the lows running through overdrive to fill out the bottom end.

Recorded as 4 tracks into Ableton. EQ, compression, reverb, pan added in post."
