NINA SESSIONS featuring THE NIGHT TERRORS
video upload by Melbourne Instruments
The Night Terrors are a Melbourne-based electronic music duo consisting of Miles Brown and Sarah Lim. Often billed as 'Australian Electro Goth Legends', The Night Terrors recently released their fourth album titled 'Hypnotica - Composition for Theremin and Electronic Music Synthesizer' featuring Miles on Theremin, Synthesizer and Programming, and Sarah on Synthesizer. For this recording we asked Miles and Sarah to choose two compositions from the new album to perform using two NINAs, and of course Miles' Moog Theremin.
In the two songs featured here Miles uses NINA's 12 voice 4-part Multi-timbral ability to control three layers via DAW and one layer via Keyboard controller (Novation SL61). Throughout the performance Miles is using DAW automation to Morph the A/B patches of each layer. Sarah controls the second NINA with her trusted Korg Krome EX 73, using multi-timbral splits and layers. The Theremin is doing it's own thing - not connected to NINA or any other devices. To get that 'hypnotic vintage horror synth' feel, Miles and Sarah created their own NINA presets as well as using original factory presets. With the exception of the Theremin and some percussion, all sounds are generated by the two NINAs used during the recording. Watch the full performance now"

Jacking Circuit Tracks into Google Gemini AI—DAWless Chaos in Real-Time!
video upload by LucaTronico
"So… what happens when you hot-wire a Novation Circuit Tracks into Google Gemini Music AI (Lyria) over Web MIDI and tell them to play nice?
Answer: they don’t.
Instead you get a live, DAW-free roller-coaster of broken genres, AI hallucinations, surprise crashes, and the occasional moment of pure synth bliss. 🤖🎛️💥
This isn’t a 'click-and-generate' demo—the AI is running in real time, riding (and sometimes derailing) every knob twist I throw at it.
Is it techno? Vaporwave? Polka-drum-&-bass? Nobody knows. But it’s weird, it’s raw, and it’s 100 % unrepeatable."

Lofi beats w/ Novation Circuit, OP-1 field, MOOD MK II | Priority 2025-05-26 by atnr
video upload by atnr
"A track produced with the @NovationTV Novation Circuit, @teenageengineering OP-1 field, and OP-1—a lo-fi beat where modulated synth and e-piano tones ride over abstract rhythms.
Novation Circuit: The beat is built in the DAW and triggered via MIDI. Two synth parts and four drum parts generate both abstract textures and grooves; the output is passed through a @ChaseBlissAudio GENERATION LOSS MK II for tape coloration.
OP-1 field: Plays a modulated sampler patch.
OP-1: Supplies a modulated electric-piano sound, further pitch-shifted and looped with the @ChaseBlissAudio MOOD MK II.
Bass line: Performed on a @MoogSynthesizers Grandmother.
Additional synth stabs: Provided by a @NordKeyboards Nord Lead."

Enjoy The Silence/Depeche Mode (Novation Circuit Tracks Version)
video upload by Guinan
"‘Enjoy The Silence’ from 1990 is my favourite track from Depeche Mode. Not strictly 'dance music', it crossed over into most of the clubs I went to in the day. I have certainly danced to it! Many house and techno musicians cite a softspot for Depeche Mode and in turn the album this came from, ‘Violator’ reflected club dance music trends.
Sooner, or later, every synth player has a go at playing this song....
Everything on this track is coming from the Circuit Tracks. All synth sounds were either played or programmed/sampled and played back. The only exception is the bass part (see below). No extra synths or effects but in order to fit it all in this is a simplified arrangement."

NEW from NOVATION at Superbooth 2025: Launch Control XL MK3 and more
video upload by Hispasonic
"In this video from Superbooth 2025, Chris Calcutt from Novation presents the latest news from the brand. He highlights the launch of the new Launch Control XL MK3, a MIDI controller with 24 encoders, 8 faders and 16 programmable buttons. This new version includes a display that allows easy visualization of what is being controlled, as well as MIDI output for use with external hardware.
Launch Control XL v3 offers advanced integration with DAWs such as Ableton Live, Logic and Cubase, allowing script-level control. The ability to save up to 15 different configurations makes it extremely versatile. It can be connected to devices such as Circuit Tracks for full access to deep synth parameters directly from the hardware.
Novation Components software allows full customization of all Launch Control XL controls, including high-resolution (14-bit) configurability and hotkey assignment.
The Launch Control XL v3 is expected to hit stores during the summer of 2025.
Also shown is the Launch Key 37, now available in white, unchanged in features but with new aesthetics. In addition, they present the special Swifty edition of the Bass Station 2, with artwork designed by the artist Swifty, who appears in the video making a work for the booth.

Redshift 6 - Superbooth 2025 Sound Demo
video upload by Supercritical Synthesizers
"Hear all our multitimbral Redshift 6 presets for the Superbooth 2025 — no talking, just pure playing.
These presets showcase a wide variety of sounds, from classic analog poly-synth layer splits to rich single-layer textures and one-key wonders.
The Redshift 6 is a 6-voice analog poly, but with 16 oscillators per voice, it goes far beyond the capabilities of a traditional 6-voice synth. Each voice can be played paraphonically, significantly extending the overall polyphony.
Thanks to its flexible voice allocation, voices can be used in splits, layers, or as fully independent parts — each with its own MIDI channel and controls. In essence, every voice is its own synthesizer. And with paraphony, even a single voice can become a polyphonic synth.
All the sounds in this demo are played live using a single Redshift 6, with no external FX.
Huge thanks to Novation for the Launchkey 61 MK4!
The multitimbral beta firmware is available now on the Supercritical Discord for all Redshift 6 users."

12 synths, drum machines, FX & innovations you need to know from Superbooth 2025
video upload by MusicRadar Tech
"For a few years now, Berlin’s Superbooth show has been a focal point for music technology gear announcements, but the 2025 iteration took this to another level. The sheer volume and variety of new music making gear on display in and around the FEZ event space was beyond anything we’ve seen in previous years.
MusicRadar was on the ground to test everything we could get our hands on. As the show drew to a close Managing Editor Si Truss, Reviews Editor Simon Arblaster and Tech Channel Editor Matt Mullen found a quiet corner in the woods to sit down for a roundtable (sans table) discussion about their highlights from the 2025 Superbooth show floor."

Novation Unveils Bass Station II Swifty Edition at Superbooth 2025 | A Fusion of Sound and Design
video upload by Jonathan Knightsnare
"At Superbooth 2025 in Berlin, I had the pleasure of meeting the Novation team and exploring their latest creation: the Bass Station II Swifty Edition. This limited-edition synthesizer is a collaboration between Novation and renowned British graphic designer Ian 'Swifty' Swift, known for his iconic work with labels like Mo’ Wax and Talkin’ Loud .
The Swifty Edition features a striking blue, grey, and orange color scheme, adorned with Swifty's signature typography and graphic motifs inspired by rave flyers, dubplate culture, and DIY zines . While the aesthetics are refreshed, the synth retains its powerful analog sound engine, including:
Dual oscillators with PWM and a sub-oscillator
Two analog filter modes: Classic and Acid
Flexible modulation with two envelopes and two LFOs
Pattern-based arpeggiator with step sequencer
AFX Mode for assigning a different patch to each key
Micro-tuning support for exploring alternative scales
Additionally, the Swifty Edition comes preloaded with over 60 new patches from artists like Legowelt, Pecq, and Maria Chiara Argirò, offering a diverse palette of sounds ranging from techno to jazz fusion .
This collaboration between Novation and Swifty not only celebrates the legacy of the Bass Station II but also bridges the worlds of music technology and graphic design, making it a standout release at this year's Superbooth."

Demo - Analog Techno - Novation Circuit Tracks Pack by A Force Truly Evil
video upload by Isotonik Studios
"This pack for Novation Circuit Tracks dives into the raw world of Analog Techno — driven by hands-on synth work and deep hardware. Built around patches inspired by classic analog machines and sequences created with hardware sequencers, the sounds are gritty, unstable and alive — full of saturation, modulation, and subtle imperfections that give them a true analog hardware feel.
To reinforce that analog soul, all drum samples were crafted using the Elektron Analog Rytm — a powerful analog drum machine known for its aggressive and analog sound. Its presence adds an unmistakable edge to the rhythm section, perfectly complementing the warmth and depth of the synth patches.
Includes 128 velocity-sensitive patches (64 original + 64 variations), 64 Analog Rytm drum samples and 18 sessions — ideal for Raw Techno, Minimal, IDM, Industrial, Acid and related genres.
