Modal Electronics ELEMENT One - Nice to meet you!
video upload by Modal Electronics
"It's finally here! Today, we are diving headfirst into the Modal ELEMENT One.
In this session, we will do two things: first, walk you through the physical setup and signal flow to get the ELEMENT One up and running in your studio; and second, conduct a detailed first-look tour of the front-panel controls. Our goal is to move beyond mere "button-pushing" and instead understand the philosophy behind the interface—why we placed certain controls where they are, and how that layout influences your creative workflow."
Element One - Advanced Editing with MODALapp
video upload by Modal Electronics
"Unlock the full potential of your Modal ELEMENT One! In this video, we move beyond the front panel to dive deep into patch editing with Modalapp.
While the ELEMENT One is designed as a hands-on performance synth, the app unlocks advanced parameters, modulation routing, and preset management that take sound design to the next level. The ELEMENT One is fully compatible with Modalapp, giving you a powerful software interface to complement the hardware controls.
Whether you're a beginner looking to understand synthesis or a pro wanting to streamline your workflow, this guide will help you get the most out of your ELEMENT One."

WORNG Glowing Orb Stereo SVF
raw filter sweeps video upload by WORNG Electronics
"To demonstrate the character of the Glowing Orb stereo state variable filter a series of filter sweeps were recorded. The audio passed from the Glowing Orb, through a SideCar VCA, Instruo Cuir output module and then to a Sound Devices MixPre 6 field recorder. No additional audio processing has been carried out apart from level adjustment."
"Glowing Orb is a new vintage-voiced, Stereo State Variable Filter from WORNG Electronics. It takes the SSI2140 filter core (based on the SSM2040 filter which gives the Prophet 5 Rev 2 its big and beefy sound) and configures it in a -12dB/oct SVF circuit based on the Oberheim SEM design, combining characteristics of two of the best loved, best sounding vintage filters in a unique combination. Of course a module from WORNG Electronics has to include 21st century features like stereo operation, volt per octave tracking and a gain compensated drive circuit which enables an extraordinarily wide tonal palette.
At 10hp, Glowing Orb is perfect for any sized system large or small, and packs in just the controls you need to keep things compact while still being incredibly usable, with space around the controls designed for human fingers.
The module features stereo input, with normalling for mono to stereo operation if only the left input is patched. The stereo output switches between sweepable Low Pass/Notch/High Pass, and Band Pass filter slopes, on a single output pair to simplify patching.

New Order, BBC2/Radio 1 simulcast ('Rock Around The Clock', August 28, 1984)
video upload by MrMartinPipe
Two Sequential Circuits Prophet-5s and two Octave Electronics Voyetra 8s. Emu Emulator there as well as custom trigger pads.
This one is in via Ivan Trajkovic aka deejayiwan.
Video description:
"Here we have - except for the three songs that YouTube has 'flagged up' for removal - the notoriously bad-tempered 'Saturday Live' set that was the legendary New Order's contribution to the BBC's 'Rock Around The Clock' music-marathon of pop videos, live performances and documentaries.
Some of the day's programming - notably, this New Order performance from the bowels of Broadcasting House - was simulcasted on the BBC's Radio 1/2 network, as there was no stereo TV in the UK back then.
This historic programme (New Order's "live radio debut on the telly", according to BBC presenter Richard Skinner) surfaced on an old V2000 tape that was being chucked out (together with the video recorder it was in). V2000 was an unusual (but at the time, technically-advanced) European home-video format, intended to compete with VHS and Betamax. Developed by Philips and Grundig, the now-forgotten V2000 had some cool features - like 'flip over' recording, and noise-free 'trick' playback. Don't laugh - this was a big deal in the early-mid 1980s!
The recording was alas in a very poor state - machine (which needed to be repaired) and tape alike had evidently not been stored carefully. I have cleaned up the visuals as best I can - and the result is not bad, considering that the source material is over 40 years old! Better still, I had the cassette recording of the stereo FM broadcast I made at the time - which I have managed to synchronise to the video.
I have it on good authority that the result is superior to what the BBC holds in its archives (allegedly a ropey off-air VHS copy, with hissy mono sound).

Korg Wavestate - "Glitch Textures" Soundset (44 Performances)
video upload by LFOstore
"Inspired by the golden era of intelligent electronic music (IDM), including projects as Autechre, early Aphex Twin, The Orb, Plaid, Telefon Tel Aviv and others, Glitch Textures is a meticulously crafted collection of 44 performances for Korg Wavestate. This soundset captures the very essence of classic IDM: the warmth of analog imperfections, the hypnotic beauty of broken beats, and the deep emotional resonance of glitched melodies. Every preset is a portal into a world where digital errors become musical virtues.
Harnessing the Wavestate‘s wave sequencing, we have harmonized glitches, clicks, stutters, and data degradation with lush and evolving soundscapes. You won‘t find random noise here — instead, you’ll discover intelligent imperfections: polyrhythmic sequences that breathe, pads that drift organically out of tune, and leads that sound like cherished childhood toys struggling to remember a melody.
As a sound designer for Access Music, Native Instruments, and Modal Electronics, OttO K. Schwarz poured his passion for experimental electronics into every preset. Many performances feature multi-layered setups, rhythmic textures and melodic phrases — perfect for live performance and deep studio exploration.
All presets are finely tuned for real-time expression: modulation wheel and velocity give you intuitive control over several parametres. Whether you‘re scoring the film, producing IDM, ambient, or experimental electronica, “Glitch Textures” offers a unique palette of sounds that are both beautifully broken and surprisingly musical.

It appears to have an original red Surrey Electronics case, compared to this racked one. You'll find a spec sheet there as well.
"Surrey Electronics Spectrum Shifter
Uses the same principle as Bode frequency shifter. Ostensibly for 'Howl Reduction' but capable of some very interesting effects. Essentially, unlike a pitch shifter, a frequency shifter does not preserve the harmonic relationships in the input signal. In practice this means the output quickly starts to deviate from what is going in and extra tones are added which then interact and interfere with the source producing new harmonics and drones. Very good with other fx. Great studio addition as you can plug allsorts in not just for vocals.
31cm x 27cm x 24cm
240v unit
Mono input and output via 1/4" jacks on the rear. (standard 'guitar' Jacks)
some scuffs and slider plastic is missing, did not replace as does not affect use. See photos."

Dark Ambient Synthesizer Performance / Post Apocalyptic Vibes
video upload by Matzumi
Primarily featuring the Korg Z1 and Modal Electronics Argon and Cobalt synths. KORG MULTI/POLY comes in at the end.
"🌌 'The Last Echo of Dystopia' is not merely a performance; it is a sonic excavation of a world left in silence.
From the heart of the studio to the vast, decaying expanse of a forgotten wasteland, these frequencies bridge the gap between what was and what will never be again.
🎹 The Sound of Decay:
Through the electric veins of my synthesizers, we trace the contours of ruins and the whispers of the wind across the dunes. Deep, resonant pulses serve as the heartbeat of a dying era, while ethereal leads shimmer like heat haze on a scorched horizon....

Eliane Radigue Has Passed Away
Eliane Radigue - IMA Portrait documentary video upload by straypixel
Pictured: 1st image of Eliane Radigue on Discogs
Video description:
"Eliane Radigue
Her life journey has been remarkable. At the end of the fifties, she studied in Paris with musique concrète pioneers Pierre Schaeffer and Pierre Henry, whom she also assisted, notably for the premiere of L'Apocalypse de Jean. During the sixties she began composing with primitive electronics (feedback and asynchronous tape loops), but found little recognition for her research in France.
In New York in the early seventies, she found understanding and emulation, exploring emerging minimalism with James Tenney, Charlemagne Palestine, Phillip Glass, John Gibson, and Steve Reich. Her absolute allegiance to electronic sounds began during this period. Since then she has composed on the best synthesizers of the time: Buchla, Moog, Serge, and then ARP, which would become her fetish instrument. She collaborated with Robert Ashley, who sang on Les Chants de Milarepa. She has composed about two dozen works, which she has presented and continues to present at numerous prestigious venues and festivals in the United States and Europe.
In 2004, upon Kasper Toeplitz´s request, she started instrumental compositions for one or more performers, with whom she works in a close collaboration during the compositional process. This work gets quickly focused on pure acoustic sounds, in an incredibly delicate timbral way, which extends, without aesthetic rupture, her electronic work. Notably between 2004 and 2009, she completed a cycle in three parts 'Naldjorlak', for Charles Curtis on cello, Carol Robinson and Bruno Martinez on basset horns. She has now stopped her electronic work."
Emmanuel Holterbach (Translation Leslie Stuck)"

8. ELIANE RADIGUE : "Jetsun Mila" - 1986 [Tibetan Buddhist influence]
9. OCCAM DELTA XIII - Eliane Radigue
"In Buddhism, the number 9 signifies spiritual completion, ultimate enlightenment, and the highest level of consciousness (the ninth consciousness, or Buddha nature). It represents the culmination of the path to Nirvana, the 9 virtues of the Buddha, and is often associated with auspiciousness, progress, and the 9 states of delusion (nine worlds)."
Some history on Eliane Radigue via Wikipidia:
"Radigue was born in a modest family of merchants and raised in Paris at Les Halles.[5] She later married the French-born American artist Arman with whom she lived in Nice while raising their three children, before returning to Paris in 1967. She had studied piano and was already composing before hearing a broadcast by the founder of musique concrète Pierre Schaeffer. She soon met him, and in the early '50s became his student, working periodically at the Studio d'Essai during visits to Paris. In the early 1960s, she was assistant to Pierre Henry, creating some of the sounds which appeared in his works.[6] As her own work matured, Schaeffer and Henry felt that her use of microphone feedback and long tape loops (as heard in Vice-Versa and Feedback Works 1969-1970) was moving away from their ideals, though her practice was still related to their methods.
Radigue's death was announced on February 24, 2026. Her cause of death was not stated.[7][8]

Touché: Don Buchla’s Rare Polyphonic Keyboard Instrument
video upload by Sarah Belle Reid
Follow-up to Sarah Belle Reid plays the Buchla Touché
"In this video, I explore an extremely rare electronic instrument called the Touché, created by Buchla and Associates in 1980. Filmed at the Buchla Archives in Vancouver, this is a rare opportunity to hear and see an instrument that very few people have ever encountered firsthand. Only around five Touchés are known to have been built, and very few remain functional today. Because of this, the instrument has remained largely absent from public performance and documentation. This video helps bridge that gap by sharing the Touché’s sound, design, and historical context.
While Don Buchla is best known for his modular synthesizers such as the 100 and 200 Series, he also created a number of non-modular, computer-based instruments that explored new relationships between performance, software, and sound. The Touché is one such instrument. Conceived by Don Buchla in collaboration with composer David Rosenboom, it is a bi-timbral, eight-voice polyphonic keyboard instrument that combines digital sound generation, analog processing, and computer-mediated control.
The video begins with a historical overview of how the Touché grew out of Buchla’s computer-controlled instruments of the 1970s, including the 300 Series systems. From there, the video moves into a detailed walkthrough of Touché’s sound architecture, including many musical demos.
This video was created in collaboration with the Buchla Archives, an organization dedicated to the thorough and thoughtful documentation and preservation of Donald Buchla’s work.
Special thank you to Ryan Gaston and David Rosenboom for research assistance."

Nova Wind (1983)
video upload by David Rosenboom
"This video, shot informally in the Ensemble Room at Mills College in 1983, contains the only footage known of David Rosenboom playing his 1981 composition Nova Wind from Future Travel. In it, he plays the legendary Touché—digital/analog keyboard instrument produced in collaboration with Donald Buchla in 1979-1980—, violin, piano, and ancillary electronics. A complete studio recording of Future Travel was released first on a vinyl LP by Street Records in 1981 and later on a double-CD from New World Records in 2007."
