Energy Field by Reductionist

via Nick Wilson of Clan Analogue: "I'm touching base about a new release from Australian electronic music collective Clan Analogue by the Melbourne artist Reductionist. I thought it might be of interest to you as a release made entirely with cheap Korg gear, specifically the Monotron, Monotron Duo and Volca Modular.

The release is a two-track single called 'Energy Field'."

From BandCamp:

[before the Big Bang and the beginning of time…]

"There was no matter. All that existed was space/time and energy. An ocean of energy, almost still but gently rippling. A near still ocean of energy filling the void." Brian Cox, Universe (BBC, 2021)

Reductionist explores the wavefolding of time and space using battery-powered technologies and microvirtuosic technique with the debut release Energy Field.

Reductionist utilises the humblest of ephemeral technologies, including battery-powered micro-instruments, forgotten music tech products, and cheap effect pedals, to express through sound the vastest concepts that we, as humans, can attempt to comprehend.

The title track is inspired by the idea of an immeasurable energy field, theorised to have existed before the Big Bang, with the entire Universe lying dormant, waiting to emerge into existence…

The new single also includes the extended companion piece “Energy Field Refolding”. Could the Universe refold into itself as an energy field once again? Humans are attracted to the idea of rebirth - perhaps we need to imagine that existence will always continue in some form.

Reductionist is the solo project for electronic music artist Nick Wilson, whose previous work has included Random Acts of Elevator Music, Darrow, Tiatto, City Frequencies and Continuum. Nick has also been the Label Manager for Australia’s longest-running electronic music collective Clan Analogue over the last twenty years. In 2025 Reductionist and multimedia artist Aday collaborated on the MacroVerse collaborative performances at the Abbotsford Convent, which were nominated for the Best In Music category at the 2025 Melbourne Fringe Awards.

“Energy Field” is the first track to be released from the forthcoming Reductionist album MacroVerse. Prepare for existence and experience Energy Field.

released June 9, 2026

You can find addtional details on the release at Clan Analogue.

Moog Muse: 64 Vintage Arp Presets. Sound Demo. Live Jam

video upload by Anton Anru

πŸ“Ό 'Cassette Motion' is a collection of 64 arpeggio presets for Moog Muse.
The collection embraces a retro character—highlighting detuning, subtle noise, and analog warmth to evoke the sonic aesthetics of the 70s and 80s.
The patches are infused with nostalgic charm and are perfect for adding that vintage soul to your tracks.

πŸ“¦ The download link: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/muse...

πŸ“» The timbral range is wide and diverse, covering dark, noisy, lo-fi, warm, deep, soft, retro/vintage, melancholic, atmospheric, detuned, FM, distorted, metallic, evolving, and sweeping.

πŸŽ› All patches are Velocity-sensitive. The ModWheel enhances expressiveness by adding motion and tonal variation—brightening the sound, introducing vibrato, shifting timbre, or adding extra movement for dynamic and engaging performance.
Aftertouch introduces distortion, detune, or resonance.
The Macro Knob introduces additional changes—it adds bright overtones, or adds modulation to the filter or oscillators.

🧿 These presets are versatile and can be used in any genre of electronic music, such as techno, ambient, IDM, industrial, drum and bass, and others. This collection is also an invaluable resource for soundtrack composers, game developers, audiobook producers, video creators, advertisers, and social media content creators.

DRONE MUSIC / Make Noise STREGA / Universe Zen TESSERACT / Pro-Ject Elemental / perform by GIPNOZER

video upload by G I P N O Z E R

"In the beginning, there was only the Void, and within it were born the Shapers—beings of pure energy whose thoughts shaped the universe. They wove galaxies like webs, breathed life into stars, and created countless worlds inhabited by wondrous creatures. But in the very act of creation, a flaw was born, a disharmony the Shapers failed to foresee. Their creations, imbued with a spark of self-awareness, began to deviate from the intended plan, evolving in unpredictable directions. At first, these deviations were minor, but over time they gained momentum, giving rise to chaos and destruction. The Shapers tried to intervene, to direct, to correct, but their control weakened with each passing moment. The universe, once their perfect creation, became a rebellious force, devouring itself. Stars faded, planets disintegrated, and life, once so vibrant and diverse, died in agony. In the end, the Creators, exhausted and broken, watched as their universe collapsed into a point, returning to the very Void from which they had once emerged. And with it, they themselves vanished, leaving behind only a silent nothingness, an eternal testimony to the futility of even the most powerful plans.

OKTAVISION - Discovering the Void

video upload by OktaVision

New video from supporting member OktaVision.

"Here's our new single Discovering the void, It's made with a DFAM and an Alpha Juno 2"

"Discovering the Void, a new track with a lyric video from Oktavision. In an era of immense activity but weakened meaning, the void should exist as a field of creation, not as a space that must be filled with stimuli."

What the h_ll is a PLL? Digging in to the Doepfer A-196

video upload by Sound + Voltage

"This time we're diving deep - perhaps too deep - into the mysteries of the Phase-Locked Loop, which Doepfer improbably made a Eurorack module for. So if you want to learn what that loop is and why you'd want to lock it, this is for you. All four of you.

No AI content, though I do use it for research.

Timeline:

03:05 - How they do it
08:47 - How the 'over the radio' effect works

Patch notes: Make your audio sound like an FM broadcast with a PLL

video upload by Sound + Voltage

"Apologies for the long absence, but I'm back - this time with a patch I've been trying to make work for years: the effect of audio coming over the radio.

It was a complete surprise that this worked, I was just playing around with a phase-locked loop module. I didn't think this would end up being a video about FM at all, but when I stumbled on it, I had to share.

Modules in use: Antumbra Fade, Radio Music, Cap'n Big-O VCO, Doepfer A-196 PLL, Steady State Fate's Quantum Rainbow 2, and Void Modular Hexagram.

If you'd like to hear more of the background music, I released in in 2025 on the NEUS-318 label, and you can find it here: https://neus318.bandcamp.com/album/he..."

video upload by Anton Anru

"Gravitation Noise is a bank of 50 sequence presets for U-He Bazille.
Inspired by the dark techno patterns from previous patch collections on the website for Moog and Make Noise synthesizers, this bank of presets was conceived as an attempt to transfer that experience from analog modular synths into a VST plugin.

πŸ‘€ The author of the soundset is skendi (Arseniy Pushkov).

🌘 The soundset spans a wide range of tones, from warm, noisy, aggressive, lo-fi and detuned textures to soft, punchy, dreamy, bright, deep, timbres. The sequences can be either slow or fast, in mono or poly mode.
Perfect for a variety of genres such as IDM, industrial, experimental, techno and more.

πŸŽ› All sequences are performance-ready, with Velocity sensitivity and ModWheel assignments mapped for expressive control. Dieter Doepfer explains the 3D Joystick

video upload by Doepfer Musikelektronik GmbH

"Dieter Doepfer explains the 3D Joystick"

The A-174-4 made its first appearance on the site back in 2020. The following are some pics and details via https://doepfer.de/a1744.htm.

"Module A-174-4 generates several control voltages and a gate signal controlled by a spring-loaded X/Y cross potentiometer (so-called joy stick). The control voltages for X and Y are controlled by the X and Y position of the joystick in the usual way. The third control voltage Z is controlled by the rotation of the spring-loaded joystick knob. The gate signal is generated by a button at the center/top of the joystick knob. As an additional feature four control voltages are generated that are assigned to the quadrants of the Cartesian coordinate system. These quadrant voltages are derived from the X and Y voltages by means of a special algorithm.

For each joystick function the non-inverted signal (X, Y, Z) as well as the inverted signal (-X, -Y, -Z) is available. The generic joystick control voltages are bipolar and range from typ. -5V (lowest position) via 0V (center position) to typ. +5V (highest position). By means of the Offset controls OX, OY and OZ a variable voltage of up to 5V can be added to the generic voltages. That way it's possible that the X, Y and Z outputs become pure positive (0...+10V instead of -5V...+5V). That's necessary if e.g. VCAs have to be controlled, because VCAs require a pure positive control voltage. The offset voltages can be adjusted by means of three small potentiometers. When the control in question is fully CCW no offset is added and the "pure" control voltages X, -X, Y, -Y, Z and -Z without offset are generated. As soon as the offset control in question is moved clockwise up to +5V are added to the voltage in question. The offset voltages are also added to the inverting outputs. With max. offset the range of an inverted output becomes also pure positive (+10V...0V instead of +5V...-5V). These six voltages are output at the sockets "X+OX", "-X+OX", "Y+OY", "-Y+OY", "Z+OZ" and "-Z+OZ". Each of these outputs is equipped with a dual color LED (red/yellow) that displays the present voltage and allows to distinguish between positive (red) and negative (yellow) voltages.

U-He Hive: 25 Free Presets + Patterns. Dark Atmospheric Demo

video upload by Anton Anru

πŸ™ Lost Traffic is a collection of 25 tempo-synced presets+sequences for U-He Hive 2, designed for dark, urban and cinematic electronic music.
The soundset is inspired by neon megacities, late-night drives, underground clubs, dystopian skylines and graphic-novel noir — somewhere between cyberpunk futures and crime-ridden streets, without going fully into grit and dirt.

πŸ“¦ Get these patches: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/hive...
πŸ›Ž The pack is free, but any donation is appreciated.
πŸ‘€ The author of the soundset is Daytona Carter.

🧿 Each sequence has a distinct personality: some feel like restless traffic lanes, some like narrow alleys pulsing with tension, others like cold, mechanical grids of light.
The overall tone is dark, urban, synthetic and dystopian, with only a few rare moments of calm and space.

πŸŽ› All presets are velocity-sensitive and performance-ready.
The ModWheel is essential: it doesn’t just make small tweaks — it opens up each sequence:
πŸ”Ή adding extra notes and counter-rhythms.
πŸ”Ή introducing delays, distortion and tonal shifts.
πŸ”Ή morphing between more minimal patterns and denser, more aggressive versions.

The Analog Eclipse | KORG minilogue xd | Dark to Rock One-Synth-Jam

video upload by Lo-fi Pask

"Even though I’ve got dozens of unfinished projects on my trusty Teenage Engineering OP-XY (some of them almost ready) I felt the need to break the cycle. I had the sense I was starting to repeat myself. So I turned to one of my favorite analog synths, the KORG minilogue xd, looking for a patch that could spark something new. And from that came this track… though I’m still not sure what exactly it is.

As usual, the atmosphere is dark, but halfway through it unexpectedly takes on a rock-inspired twist before returning to its original mood. I even tried reworking the idea on the OP-XY to make it more polished (and complex), but in the end I decided to record it raw—exactly as it came to me.

Hope you enjoy it. I plan to explore this same process on other synths as well. Let me know in the comments if this journey through analog synth sound design intrigues you.
