Landscape Noon - Dual

video upload by Bata

"Using a Make Noise 0-CTRL to sequence/modulate channel 2 (Dual) on the Landscape Noon.

This is a patch for 1 voice on the Landscape Noon. Some other voices might be influencing the sound due to how the Noon works but no CV/Gates are going to the other channels except through the mod inputs (which go to all channels)."

The Bleep Labs Sensory Coupler

video upload by Bleep Labs

"The Sensory Coupler allows you to easily convert touch, proximity, light, magnetic fields, motion, and more into CV and gate."

Preorders open now at the following shops and others:
US: ctrl-mod.com
US: perfectcircuit.com
Scotland: signalsounds.com

The Sensory Coupler allows you to easily convert touch, proximity, light, magnetic fields, motion, and more into CV and gate.

Built-in touch contact and 1/8″ TRS jack sensor interface. Other sensors and devices like expression pedals can be easily added. DIY info coming soon.

Calibration mode. Sensors produce different readings in different environments, the Sensory Coupler calibrates them to utilize the entire 0-10V CV output range.
CV output based on calibrated or raw sensor data. 0-10V.
Two gate outputs. Work based on an adjustable threshold level. When the sensor reading is above or inside the threshold, GATE will output 12V while !GATE will be 0V and vice versa.
Smoothing modes. Sensor readings can be chaotic when you might not want them to be so there are two smoothing modes. One simply averages readings to create slow rises and falls while the other acts like an envelope follower with adjustable decay.
Large LED strip display. Visualizes the sensor reading, threshold, smoothing mode and more.

Introducing Metropolix!

video by Intellijel

"The Intellijel Metropolix is a unique and powerful Eurorack format musical sequencer. With an abundance of hands-on, tactile controls and a wealth of modulation possibilities (both internal and external) you can quickly and easily create infectiously musical sequences that are never boring. Even the simplest riff can be brought to life with seemingly endless options to create variations or real-time manipulations. Equally at home in the studio or a live improvised performance, the Metropolix is sure to become a staple source of fresh ideas and killer riffs in your creative process.

On first blush, it appears to be a simple 8-stage sequencer — but there is far more functionality than first meets the eye:

● There are two tracks (TRK 1 and TRK 2) that are variants of the single master pitch/gate sequencer, which is programmed via the PITCH sliders, PULSE COUNT and GATE TYPE switches. Each track interprets the master sequence in a variety of ways — creating complementary sequence variations that enable you to generate counterpoint, polyrhythms, and all manner of sonic movement (both subtle and extreme). Each of these tracks has its own playback ORDER, sequence LENgth, clock DIVision, SWING amount, SLIDE time, and track GATE lengths. Other track-based sequence variables are accessible from the TRACK MENU, and include Pitch Slider inversion; sequence note range; track transposition; and more. In addition, Tracks 1 & 2 both have multiple lanes of per-stage playback parameters, including: GATE override; PITCH override; RATCHet count; PROBability of playback; ACCUMulating transposition, and a dedicated CV lane. Each stage also has a SKIP feature, and a pitch SLIDE option.

● 8 separate and individual MODulation lanes are accessed via the MOD button. Each MOD lane has 8-stages of modulation values and its own playback ORDER, LENgth, and clock DIVision; and each lane is routable to one of Metropolix’ two assignable outputs or to dozens of internal destinations, allowing for some sophisticated and powerful self-modulation.

● A trio of AUX inputs allows for external modulation of user-assignable sequencer parameters for even greater variation, while two assignable CTRL knobs give you direct access to the parameters you want to adjust most frequently during a performance. With dedicated Pitch/Gate outputs for both Track 1 and Track 2; two totally user-assignable outputs (A and B); and internal MOD routing, Metropolix features a wealth of patching opportunities.

● Metropolix also features a Loopy mode, allowing you to instantly play back short sub-sequences, or even “play” the stage buttons directly (like a ‘keyboard’).

● Metropolix stores up to 64 preset configurations (in 8 banks of 8 presets), and all live settings are stored in EPROM, ensuring that your Metropolix will always power up exactly as you left it — even if you haven’t saved them to a preset. By default presets can change all the structural (menu-based) elements of your sequencer without overwriting the front panel controls, but full recall is also available.

● The operation of the Metropolix is optimized for live performance and jamming, with quick access to all the most important performance parameters, and the ability to greatly affect your sequences with a single slider or switch."

AUREX DIVA CTRL for the Novation Launch Control XL

via Kickstarter

"FINALLY MAKING THE CONNECTION

I like hardware synths. I love turning knobs, pushing buttons, and flicking faders when creating sounds. However, I also love all the software synths that are available now, especially because of very convincing analog sounding softsynths such as U-He Diva.

I've always felt the connection between software plugins and hardware controllers was missing something. When controlling hardware synthesizers, you get a great user interface, with clear labelling and tactile control over every parameter. MIDI controllers however, often present you with an uninspiring interface with mismatching colours, incorrect text or inaccurate labels. More importantly, they often can't handle more advanced functions like modulation assignment, interactive LED feedback or multi-button control over one single function. I also forget which knob I midi mapped to which function and so on ... I didn't connect with them like I do with hardware - until now.

This is exactly why I developed the aurex DIVA CTRL bundle. This bundle makes the Novation LaunchControl XL function as the ultimate MIDI controller for for U-He's Diva software synthesizer. I built a custom MIDI template (using advanced programming with BOME) that translates every Launch Control XL's MIDI message into all kinds of relevant MIDI data for Diva, offering much more possibilities than the original Launch Control XL's functions. In addition, I designed a hardware cover that fits on top of the Launch Control XL and has all these new features printed. This bundle comes with everything included (midi software, presets and a hard cover) to get you started right away.

Black Corporation KIJIMI Gets a Software Update

See the demo with Ricky Tinez posted here.

"Some great news from Black Corporation, we have just released a firmware update for KIJIMI to REV1.1.0. This update expands the overall filter range of Kijimi and takes modulation capabilities even further to allow for even more exciting directions to control modulation destinations.

Release Notes:

Individual attenuation of modulation amount in the mod matrix option selectable in the menu. (AMOUNT MODE -> INDIVIDUAL). To use, press lit mod matrix selector button and turn AMOUNT knob to attenuate to each individual destination. This allows the user to control modulations with increased detail.

LFO can now be synced to MIDI. (MENU -> LFO -> LFO1/2 -> SYNC)

Dividers and multiplayers are set by the LFO RATE knobs rate pots which range: 1/32, 1/24, 1/16, 1/12, 1/8, 1/6, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8. This is only in MONO LFO mode and when AD Destinations are set to amplitude.
