"πŸŽ† Obscure Atmos is a collection of 50 presets for the U-He Hive 2 virtual synthesizer.
It features 5 drones, 17 pads, 11 strings, and 17 textures. The soundset is inspired by dark sci-fi soundtracks, dystopian films, thrillers, games, and dystopian novels.

πŸ“¦ Get these patches: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/hive...

🧿 Each sound in this collection has a cohesive style, blending noise, distortion, and vintage tape emulation, striking a balance between experimental elements and playable, accessible sounds. The pack includes atonal sounds, drones, and textures perfect for creating tension and suspense. The core of the collection consists of atmospheric sounds, ranging from soft, expansive, and lush to bright, shimmering, distorted, orchestral, vintage, and more.

The ModWheel introduces additional modulations — such as brightness, tonal shifts, or dynamic movement — offering creative flexibility for both studio production and live performance.

πŸŽ† The bank covers a wide range of timbral colors: dark, noisy, lo-fi, retro, romantic, melancholic, nostalgic, soundscapes, atmospheric, detuned, cold, distant, dull, massive, epic, bright, orchestral, distorted, metallic, tense, atonal, non-harmonic, FX-like, evolving, and sweeping.

🧬 These presets are versatile and can be used in any genre where a dark atmosphere is essential, such as techno, ambient, IDM, industrial, drum and bass, and others. Behringer UB-Xa: 64 Vintage Atmospheric Presets. Sound Demo

video upload by Anton Anru

πŸŒ… Retro Tides is a collection of 64 atmospheric presets for the Behringer UB-Xa analog synthesizer. It includes: 13 Pads, 13 Synths, 17 Keys, 8 Strings, and 13 Textures.
Since the UB-Xa is a recreation of a vintage classic, this collection embraces its retro character—highlighting detuning, subtle noise, and analog warmth to evoke the sonic aesthetics of the 70s and 80s.

πŸ“¦ Get these patches: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/ub-x...

The presets are infused with nostalgic charm and are perfect for adding that vintage soul to your tracks.

πŸ“Ό One of the unique features of the UB-Xa is its Atrophy profiles—emulations of various stages of vintage wear and drift. All presets and audio demos were created using the default Profile 1, but you're encouraged to explore them with other profiles to discover variations in brightness, tuning, and stereo width. This adds another layer of expression and depth to the sounds.

πŸ’Ž Retro Tides offers a wide sonic palette, from dreamy pads and mellow keys to lush strings and expressive textures. Whether you're producing synthwave, ambient, cinematic, downtempo, or retro-inspired electronic music, these presets will help you capture a timeless analog feel.

πŸŽ› Each preset is performance-ready, with velocity sensitivity and ModWheel assignments mapped for expressive control. The ModWheel introduces additional modulations — such as brightness or movement — offering creative flexibility for both studio production and live performance.

The Behringer BM-13 PHASER is your new go-to box of swirling, sweeping, analog goodness. Whether you’re chasing subtle vintage shimmer or deep resonant sweeps, BM-13 delivers timeless phaser tones with powerful controls for shaping the waveform the way you want.

A Control Freak’s Dream
With hands-on control over sweep, resonance, LFO rate and amount, BM-13 is as tweakable as it is musical. Want to slow things down to a hypnotic pulse? Crank that LFO down to a lazy 0.01 Hz. Feeling spicy? Flip it into high gear for warbly, out-there textures at up to 250 Hz. Add a little grit with the Drive knob, fine-tune your output level and explore either 6-stage or 12-stage phasing – each delivering its own flavor dimension and character.

Plug In and Lose Yourself
From funked-out guitar riffs to synth pads that melt into space, BM-13 is built for exploration. Guitarists and bassists will love how it adds motion without washing out your tone, while keyboardists and synth wizards can drench their patches in analog swirl. Even in the studio, it’s a secret weapon – run vocals, drums, or entire mixes through it for instant vibe and warmth. And with stereo output capability, your sound can stretch wide across the stage or mix.

Built to Play Modulation doesn’t stop at the stomp switch. BM-13 comes equipped with expression pedal inputs, giving you full control over key parameters from modular gear or performance pedals. Whether you’re a traditional player or an experimental sound-shaper, the Behringer BM-13 PHASER invites you to dive in and make it your own.

U-He Diva Dark Ambient Cinematic Presets. No Talk Sound Demo

video upload by Anton Anru

"🌌 Bleak Matter is a collection of 60 presets for the U-He Diva virtual synthesizer.
It features 7 drones, 18 pads, 17 strings, and 18 textures.
The soundset is built around the idea of imperfection—gritty, lo-fi textures shaped by evolving modulation, resulting in timbres that are expressive, alive, and full of character. These sounds bring a strong atmospheric identity to any track, performance, or visual project.

πŸ“¦ Get these sounds: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/diva...

πŸ“» A major focus of this collection was to explore Diva’s ability to emulate vintage tone. To achieve this, extensive use was made of the Trimmers section in each preset, introducing subtle randomness and instability. Combined with modulation techniques that evoke analog circuitry and retro coloration, the result is a soundset with warmth, depth, and an organic, nostalgic feel.

πŸŽ› Each preset is performance-ready, with velocity sensitivity and ModWheel assignments mapped for expressive control. The ModWheel introduces additional modulations — such as brightness, tonal shifts, or dynamic movement — offering creative flexibility for both studio production and live performance.

πŸŽ† The bank covers a wide range of timbral colors: dark, noisy, lo-fi, retro, romantic, melancholic, nostalgic, soundscapes, atmospheric, detuned, cold, distant, dull, massive, epic, bright, orchestral, distorted, metallic, tense, atonal, non-harmonic, FX-like, evolving, and sweeping.

Hurray... Take 5 and TEO 5 Desktop Units

video upload by Starsky Carr

TEO 5 announced here

"The Take 5 and Teo-5 from Sequential and Oberheim make fantastic desktop units. They feel like they were made for this form factor - no compromises, simply great sounding synths in a high quality enclosure. The keyboard versions may have felt lacking in keys (even though they have a great keybed) - just a bit too short for some. I found it was quite handy having one that could fit on my rack! But with these the only decision you have to make is which one is best for you.

Luckily I'm here to confuse you further (they both sound great)! The decision will be whether you prefer the Oberheim or Sequential style of VCO programming, the filters, and the X-Mod/FM. And these just so happen to be the bits I look at in this :)"

The Roland SH-4d Desktop Synthesizer expands its creative potential with Version 2.0. The free upgrade gives electronic music producers new sonic capabilities with two expressive new OSC Models, pattern chaining for streamlined performances, and serious workflow refinements.

Two new OSC Models

STEP for step-based LFO modulation to produce dynamic movement within tones. From rigid, classic analog step sequencer-inspired phrases locked into the groove, to experimental soundscapes with curves, swells, bleeps and bloops.

HARMONIC for rich, layered sounds with a classic drawbar organ layout. Prime for creating essential house bass tones, bell-like chimes, deep pads, and powerful organ sounds with hands-on control of four harmonically tuned drawbars.

Workflow refinements

PATTERN CHAIN for streamlined hands-free performances and song construction.

SYSTEM-LEVEL FX options for consistent Reverb, Delay, and Chorus settings across all patterns for cohesive mixes in the studio as well as uninterrupted pattern switching while playing live.

QUICK OVERWRITE for saving tone and pattern data with less steps, never breaking creative momentum.

UNDO/REDO function now supported up to 10 times for worry-free experimentation when creating sequences.

New SUB-STEP options for off-grid note entry, shifting synth and drum hits behind-the-beat for looser grooves and greater variations when paired with Probability.

Extended MIDI control with improved program change implementation and new options for which MIDI data is transmitted to external devices.

Of cyclotrons and sequencers: recreating a 1974 “probability controller” in Eurorack

video upload by Electrum Modular

"This is the first video in a new series exploring the University of Iowa’s Electronic Music Studio. In addition to presenting its historic instruments (including a 1968 Moog IIIP with custom-made modules), and the famous musicians who have used them, these videos will extrapolate ideas to use in your own modular systems. This episode examines a unique random sequencer that was developed in 1974 by Paul Dingman, an electrical engineering student at Iowa. It then shows how it might be recreated using the third lane ('time') on Make Noise’s 0-Ctrl. NOTE: several other Eurorack sequencers also have this feature, as indeed does the Moog’s own 960 sequential controller; alternatively, use an LFO to clock any sequencer and patch the sequencer’s second lane/channel (if it has one) back into that LFO’s frequency input.

And the Moog Sonic Six via this listing

"Beautiful 50 year old Moog that can do things no other Moog can do. It's the only Duophonic Moog! You can set one osc as low note and one to high note for duophonic playing, set it as a mono synth, or even change the scaling of the high osc for microtonal playing. This Moog has the same oscillators and filter as the Minimoog Model D but instead of the Mini's third osc that doubles as it's only lfo, the S6 has TWO dedicated LFOs that can have separate wave shapes and rates and can be modulated by the eg! Modulation craziness. This Moog also has TWO amps! One signal goes through the filter, as usual, but there is a second amp that bipasses the filter. This means you can have a high resonance sweeping filter sound going (which kills all low end on every Moog) but you can beef it back up with the dry out amp. I've had most Moogs and think this is by far the best and most powerful Moog. I passed on a Minimoog for only 3k years ago and sold my Multimoog when I got my first S6. Everything works. Tuning and scaling was just adjusted and it's working great. I barely play it and have some studio changes in mind so it's on the chopping block. Sold as-is. No returns and I am not responsible for any guts getting shaken during shipping. It's 50 years old and it's in excellent shape for that age. Tuning and calibration info can be found online if you need it after shipping. Also considering selling the Polymoog 203a seen in the photos which is also fully functional and includes the rare Polypedals. A little demo video of the two can be seen in the link. The S6 tune drift in the video is actually a slow LFO and not just drifting. Also the video was done before I tweaked the scaling pots inside."

The story of CRIC with Future Sound Systems

video upload by DivKid

"It was a pleasure to first see CRIC with Future Sound Systems back in October 2023 around a trip to Bristol that was extended around the event Machina Bristronica. Fast forward a year, past Spinal Tap mini stone henge vibe portrait prototypes to the final Renault Twingo coloured thing ... we have CRIC in its final form. It's signal path is based around the unique features and control of the Recombination Engine and Timbral Sculpture eurorack designs heavily extended around a large pin matrix and powerful modulation section, lots of routing, lots of integration. I'm really excited for CRIC, as a mega synthesiser or centre piece for a whole electronic music studio."
