Introducing The Mutable Challenge
video upload by Gaz Williams
"The Mutable Challenge is a tribute to the late, great Mutable Instruments, the most innovative of all Eurorack makers, who ended their journey in 2022. In this challenge, participants start with a rack entirely filled with Mutable Instruments modules and have one hour to create anything they like—be it a tune, a riff, a sound effect, or even pure noise—to showcase the unique and creative potential of these iconic modules. With official Mutable patch cables and just two other pieces of gear allowed—an Arturia KeyStep 37 and a Cre8audio Assembler mixer—participants are free to let the Mutable magic unfold.

The Gaz Williams' Mutable Challenge/Tribute - Row 01
video upload by Cinematic Laboratory
"Let's just all celebrate Mutable Instruments. I met Gaz Williams @GazWilliams on Dutch Modular Fest (2025) a week ago. I couldn't do the test myself, but I was really inspired by his inititative. Mutable is probably the most influential brand in Eurorack and beyond. You can easily find clones that suit your budget, and nearly all modules are available in VCV. If you feel like patching along, I will share a few tips and tricks (trips) and hopefully help you find a few new happy accidents.

4MS Meta Module: Demo & Explorations
video upload by Sarah Belle Reid
"In this video I share a walkthrough and demo of Meta Module made by 4MS. MetaModule is a Eurorack module that can act as a virtual modular synth, letting you swap out different modules and build virtual patches that you can interact with using the front panel knobs.
I'll start with an overview of what Meta Module is and how it works, then I'll walk through two different ways of building patches using Meta Module (directly on the module itself and using VCV Rack on your computer), and I'll share multiple different use cases for which Meta Module can be especially helpful. I'll also share lots of demos, patches, and sounds along the way!"

Hügelton Instruments Introduces K102E Digital Compound Oscillator
video upload by Hügelton Instruments
"The K102E is a digital compound oscillator rooted in our original “Island Synthesis” philosophy. 2 independent digital cores are blended via Phase-Modulation, Cross-Fade, or Additive Mix to create dense, animated harmonics—all in a compact Eurorack module.
Website: https://hugelton.com/k102e
VCV Rack version: https://library.vcvrack.com/Hugelton/..."

The K102E is a digital compound oscillator module developed based on the unique "Island Synthesis" philosophy.
Features
3 independent oscillators for rich sound generation
Stable oscillation and diverse wavetable synthesis achieved through DSP processing by microcomputer
Two main oscillators (A/B) function similar to typical complex oscillators
Selection from 3 synthesis methods (phase modulation, multiplication, crossfade)
Hard sync and detune functions
8 types of waveforms following 80's wavetable synthesizers
Reading position controlled by harmonic specification index
Third oscillator (C) functions as an auxiliary oscillator
Selection of any frequency from low to high
Can be used as an LFO or cross-modulator
External control interfaces include standard CV inputs with octave/volt control, CV control for harmonics (wavetable read position), and CV input for alpha parameter of waveform synthesis

Ebb and flood: a modular bio-modeling of the tide
video upload by Electrum Modular
"Tides and music have a lot in common. Hydrographers decompose tides into their “harmonic” constituents and investigate how ocean basins 'resonate' with certain oscillations, while anthropologists and historians explore how tides have shaped the “rhythms” of social existence (Ancient Hawaiians, for instance, synchronized their daily lives to the tides by singing chants to the moon).
In this video, I recreate some of the complex forces behind the tides, by using precisely-calibrated oscillators, adders, and other modules. I then use this 'bio-model' to drive two musical patches – the first in VCV Rack, the second in Eurorack.
0:00 Patch 1: Harmony of the Tides (VCV Rack)
4:10 Patch 2: Lunisolar voices (VCV Rack + Eurorack)
A few books were useful (and inspiring) for this project:
Jonathan White, Tides: The Science and Spirit of the Ocean (2017); Rachel Carson’s classics, The Sea Around Us (1951) and The Edge of the Sea (1955); and Paul Schureman, Manual of Harmonic Analysis and Prediction of Tides (1958)

ALM MUM M8 Now Available in VCV Rack
video upload by ALM TV
"The VCV MUM M8 brings our unique MUM M8 low pass filter into VCV. The MUM M8 is based on the 'switched capacitor' filter design used in the classic Akai S950 12 bit sampler with the addition of resonance, voltage control, clipped saturation and a dedicated VCA. Here we take a look at some patches showcasing the unique sound and features of the module.
The VCV version provides a realistic sounding emulation of the hardware module’s features with the addition of an optional clock noise setting producing increased bleed like a poorly calibrated hardware MUM M8.
The original motivation for the MUM M8 came from discussing filters in classic samplers with the artist Jack Adams – aka Mumdance. Jack suggested investigating the S950’s filter well known for its use in classic early jungle and hardcore. From that point onward Jack provided inspiration, help and feedback in the development of the filter. Big up Mumdance."

Hainbach & Bram Bos Skulptur: Now Sends Midi CC!
video upload by Gavinski’s Tutorials
"Skulptur, the performance-focused filterbank plugin by Bram Bos and Hainbach (iPad, iPhone, Mac) just got an update allowing you to use it as a midi CC controller for other iOS apps, or for hardware or desktop software etc that are able to receive midi CC messages from your iPad. In this video I look at:
How to set this up
What you can do with it
One change I would like to see to make it more useful
This is a very nice update, great to have this added functionality. If you haven’t watched it yet, and are into apps that can be used as CC midi controllers, watch my video on the new sqsl Strips app for iPad linked below. Not AUv3, but has some very nice features that are not covered by what Skulptur can do, plus a lot more faders:"

Silent demo: sqsl Tactile by Michal Macura (iPad Midi Controller) modulating Fundamental2 Synth
video upload by Gavinski’s Tutorials
"sqsl Tactile is a gorgeous-looking and satisfying-to-use multitouch midi controller for iPad that was designed to control VCV Rack but can also be used to control anything that accepts CC messages on Channels 1 and 2. Sqsl is the dev of other apps I’ve reviewed on this channel like sqsl Latch and sqsl Lottery. Note: normally I would post a short, silent video like this as a YouTube Short, but in this case I didn’t, as this app only uses landscape mode, not portrait mode, but Shorts must be in portrait mode. Fundamental 2, the synth I’m using it to control, also does not resize properly in portrait mode.
Here I’m using Tactile to control the gain levels of the oscillators in Fundamental2 synth loaded inside AUM on my iPad. If you look at the video, you can see these 8 sliders on the right side of the Fundamental2 UI moving—they’re being controlled by Tactile. I am sending midi from Tactile out on Channel 1, which means (see below for more info) that the distances between my fingers and the dots on the Tactile UI is the thing that is setting the depth of modulation. Although here I’m modulating gain, you could of course route Tactile to control all kinds of things like filter cutoff, and so on. Note that sqsl Tactile is not an AUv3 app, it’s standalone only, but that midi can, of course, be routed to other apps and hosts, like I am doing here. Be sure to read the Appstore description below to see the limitations of the app, users should also have a basic understanding of Midi CC to know how to set things up, but it is very simple to operate if you do."

Testing patch, from DivKid, from Rob Hordijks FAKE Reverb with Ring Modulation.
video upload by LARIX ELEKTRO
"@DivKid 's releasing a very interesting video (as usual).
from an idea of Rob Hordijks.
I let you seeing all the explanations here:[below]
So, why not testing it by myself ?
At first, I'll using my Random*Source / SERGE modules.
And stupidly, I was forgetting that my DUAL UNDULA OSCILLATOR has all functions to test the idea ! So I'm testing the idea with it.
And after that, I'm digressing around the stereo possibilities of my module and the MS (mid/side) option.
Ok, I didn't have a lot of time (busy after SuperBooth...) so it's a bit "from scratch"... Hope you will enjoy it :)"
How to FAKE Reverb with Ring Modulation // Rob Hordijks ‘Poor Mans Delays’ [BETTER BLEEPS]
video upload by DivKid
"So here's a bit of story and the first BETTER BLEEPS video in a long time!
With Chris from Moog sharing Rob Hordijk's trick to emulate reverb wth Ring Modulation in the recent Superbooth video, that of course sparked questions. So strap in with a brew for a time travel trip back to 2017 where Rob Hordijk gave a tutorial with his "poor mans delay" technique and stay tuned for going through the technique and method with us in the video. Grab the free PDF and VCV Rack patch for further material on the technique. Links below.
This is applicable to many modules and bits of gear, to that point after the main demo with Manic (DivKid & Apollo View) I go through it with 4 more modules (Instruo VinCA, cLFO from AtoV, Ouija from Nekyia and A*B+C by Befaco)."
