"As well as Pads, I always try to make the Vangelis Lead from Bladerunner, to see how cloase I can get it. I pretty much nailed it for the OB6 and am probably about 90% there on the DeepMind 12...Closer than I thought it would get, as the sound is all about how 2 Oscillators (Saw) interact with each other."

Live Retro Synth Jam (Back to the future of 1973 Berlin School of Electronic Music)

"This Live Synth Jam is our way of going back to the future of 1973 Berlin School of Electronic Music ;-) While my jam buddy ‘Imaginary Landscape’ (Hans-Dieter Schmidt) and me (Ralph Baumgartl) were setting up our gear, we were talking about Tangerine Dream’s album Phaedra which was recorded in late 1973. That discussion actually set the mood for our subsequent Synthesizer Live Jam in which we are trying recreate a similar 1973 Berlin School atmosphere. The Berlin School type sequencer line is played by the DSI Prophet 08 Rack Synth. I hope we succeeded. Please indulge us ;-)

"When it comes to vintage analog outboard demos I am always inclined to plug KORG VOLCA FM into the old milk and honey machines because it is so handy and it is so cold and digital on the other. A synth crying out for some analog warm up. And here you can see quite well what the ROLAND FLANGER CHORUS SBF-325 is capable of!"
