Radical Frequencies -Waveshaper/ Sub oscillator

Published on Jul 7, 2019 Dziam Bass

"I have today a small demo of the module from Radical Frequencies which recently came to us from Greece.
This is Waveshaper and Sub oscillator so we recorded a little fun with Shape I Range, but also when we add the oscillator to the Sub which dramatically strengthens the sound. Used on one VCO Minimod -Vintage Transistor Core VCO from AJH Synth.
This module is a 100% fully handmade and inspirational synthesizer from the '70s, it is the domain of Radical Frequencies which we appreciate very much."

via Radical Frequencies

"100% handmade through hole Waveshaper and Suboscillator in one module with discrete transistor core circuit.

The Radical Frequencies Waveshaper-Suboscillator is a two input wavefolderr with shape
and range controls that allow for timbre manipulation, in conjunction with the input amount on each channel.

The module is one big organic block of harmonic generation.

All controls are interconnected and have a great impact on the final out.

CV control if offered and controls the level of both audio inputs.

A sub oscillator circuit is included, offering switchable -1 and -2 octaves.

The square wave has an inverted output too.

An attenuator is included, providing mixing capabilities of the sub out.

When no sub out is desired to be present in the mix out, the sub osc audio input should have nothing patched in."

"The Hammer" (Synthesizers.com & Cubase)

Published on Jul 6, 2019 SynthMania

"Play loud and listen to the whole thing because it progresses a lot through the arrangement ;-) The Synthesizers.com modular provides syn bass sequence (Q119), 3-osc lead, and sequenced filter noise (Q960); Cubase Pro 10 provides the drums, strings, brass, electric piano, organ, choir, and perc.
I played all this in real time with my hands, no sequencing done other than the bass line and filter noise on the DotCom modular."

Until We Remember

"Arturia MicroFreak sequence controlling a Q960 step sequencer. The bass line is the Mutable Instruments Braids in 5U. The chorus voice is a Q106 with the Synthetic Sound Labs digital delay and Strymon Blue Sky reverb. Two Suit & Tie Guy envelope generators control the various bass and chorus voices from the Q960. A Modcan 73B delay is used with the MicroFreak. The Roland System 8 is playing an arpeggiated part over the top for background effect.
All recorded in real time to Cubase. Edited in Final Cut Pro."

Korg Minilogue XD - "Xtra Fat Tweaked!!"
I love this factory preset called "Xtra Fat"
As you'll hear it is dark & thick, then the knob
tweaking begins- showing off just how FAST
you can create your own signature sounds!!!
I need another Korg Minilogue XD, like NOW!!!
Recorded into Ableton LIVE with no extra FX! ;)

Thank you for watching!

The Quickening- An Ode to Art Bell featuring the Kurzweil K2500XS written in 1996

Published on Jul 6, 2019 Sean Christopher Evoking Emotion with Synthesizers

"I've been too busy on other project unfortunately to get a new track up in the past several weeks, so I thought that I would share with you a track I wrote back in 1996 on the Kurzweil K2500XS, a mid-90's digital synth/sampler extraordinaire. I loved my Kurzweil's back in the 90's having owned a K2000, a K2500XS, and later 2 K2600XS's.

The Quickening- An Ode To Art Bell is a piece I wrote that features samples from the old Coast To Coast AM Radio Art Bell show from the "Kingdom of Nye". Back in those days I worked a "real" job at the US Postal Service on the graveyard shift. The Art Bell show kept me entertained for 3 or 4 hours every night with talk on just about every paranormal subject out there. I wrote and composed the music and the lyrics. The singer for a band i was in at the time provided the vocals. Her name is Amy....sorry, I cannot recall her last name right now."
