The 4ms Spherical Wavetable Navigator is a Dream: Modular Mondays
Red Means Recording
"The Spherical Wavetable Navigator (SWN) is a six-channel synthesizer that makes it easy to create slowly morphing drones, polyphonic melodies, evolving sequences, and rich textures.
The SWN features six wavetable oscillators with independent pitch, level, and waveform controls. Six LFOs (Low Frequency Oscillators) can be used as modulation sources and/or envelopes, making it easy to add dynamic motion to your patch. Each channel is a full voice and can be played using the top row of buttons, the internal LFOs, or note-change detection on the 1V/oct jacks. The SWN ships with 12 three-dimensional (spherical) wavetables and an easy interface that allows you to record and edit custom wavetables from live audio. Open-source software for Mac, Windows, and Linux called SphereEdit can be freely downloaded and allows you to use your computer to create, edit, and convert .wav files into Spherical wavetables to transfer into the SWN with an audio cable."
Feedback patching with the THC Recursive Machine
HAINBACH
"In which I demo and review the Recursive Machine by The Human Comparator. The RM is DIY analog semi-modular synth designed from the ground up to feedback into itself. This results in a unique instrument, where little changes can have huge results. I show musical examples, put it in contest with acoustic instruments and go over the functions and signal path."
You can find additional posts featuring the Recursive Machine here.

Aquifex Orba Bluetooth Eurorack modular live demo
SynthAddict
"Simple melodic modular demo with an Orba live component.
Orba BT to iPhone -- Midiflow app -- mio MIDI USB interface out via
cam. adapter -- MIDI DIN out to Mutant Brain module input -- MB CV/gate out to Plaits module, etc.
One or 2 visible misfires on the Orba keys, but it worked pretty well - some modular glitches too… hey it’s live. :-)"

what if I wrote a teletype script to ping all my filters?
junklight
"This piece came directly from the question "what if I wrote a teletype script to ping all my filters?". As it turned out the pulse from the teletype itself didn't seem beefy enough so I made pulses with Maths and the Quadra for the actual pinging. Then last night I was listening to the wonderful Ekin Fil and one of her pieces kind of inspired the bassline. And then this is one of the improvisations I did around that eurorack setup."

BURG Session Template 03

---
Hey there everyone!
Continuing my plans for 2020 and 2021 and the writing my new album, with this i will be posting template jam sessions to YouTube from which I will base and recreate the final tracks. These jam sessions are in no way finalised tracks, but you will be able to hear the main ideas before i start fine tuning the details.
If you join my patreon there will be behind the scenes materials, bonus tracks, stems, sound packs from these sessions and also a possibility to remix the future shortlist single for my release. You will be able to follow the creation of the entire album from idea to final product.

Track info:
95 bpm slow and dreamy, this one took a while to put together.. most probably due to struggling with similar melodies and vibes from the other two previous sessions. Big thanks to my patrons for pointing that out so i know what to fix. I think that this will have some significant changes for the final version of the track.. and when multitracking it I will most probably change the intro section a bit plus also ensure it builds up in a more cohesive way.
AKAI force, as usual is handling the main drums, sequencing the sub37, monologue, ASM hydrasynth and the volca bass. TR 707 adds some simpler hihats, digitakt adds some extra percussion. Digitone, Peak, Analog Four are not in use.
The ms-20 starts the track off, paired with a long wobbly delay in the el Capistan. At the 3.30 mark i play the dreadbox erebus from the force pads.. a bit tricky but it worked ok. I think the melody will change a bit too, esp phrasing.
Modular does some nice percussion with the BIA, sort of a bass style sound + a pretty weird sequence with the Braids. :)
Enjoy!

My grandparents used to be trustees at the "Withernsea Lighthouse Museum" and seeing the installations there growing up, going with my grandad to do maintenance in the building with all of the displays off and very dark, yeah safe to say it rubbed off on me, and 1 thing they did well there was exploded views of fishing items, coastguard equipment and boats."
